The Supreme Court had held that the 1st amendment covers "charitable appeals of funds". Because of that panhandling, or begging are protected speech under the first Amendment. A local ordinance does not override the Constitution.

For any LEOs seeing this, panhandling is a protected right under the first amendment. Your city ordinance holds no authority over a Supreme Court determination, which calls panhandling a "charitable appeal for funds". That guy was doing nothing wrong.
The second video is disgraceful, Panhandling is not illegal, The Supreme Court has ruled that panhandling is protected speech under the First Amendment. 19:31 He's laughing about shooting the other officer, but yet no discipline.

On my way home from work yesterday, i saved a dog that was hit by a driver ahead of me. There was a 2nd dog running in the road. I got out, stopped traffic, to save these dogs. In the process, i got bit on the hand by the injured dog. It was injured and scared so i get it. I also put myself in the situation. I wasnt mad nor did i think to shoot,tase or harm the dog. I've been bit several times throughout life and not once have i shot one. Then again, im just a man.

The first kid, cops should have told the father he was in handcuffs because of him. Making sure the incident was safe before they took the cuffs off. I’m glad they gave him the Gatorade.

First off, panhandling is legal in all 50 states. This has been affirmed by the Supreme Court. Everyone has a 1st Amendment right to ask for help. So all city ordinances against panhandling is unconstitutional. It's been long enough since the ruling that all cities should know this by now.

Yea I agree. Given the situation that's pretty much what had to happen. High-speed chase and when the car stopped one the occupants jumps out of the car. You'd have to detain anyone who was in that car. My only criticism is how long he left the boy in handcuffs once it was clear he was a victim in the situation.

@@billbills2574yeah, the scene was chaotic and needed to be secured. They even tried to make it up to the boy at the end. Normally I'm not on the police side, but they did the right thing here.
They caused his service dog to runaway scared for its life and worried about its owner. 7 or 8 cops for a Veteran on at most Misdemeanors. Then they can't catch this man's dog until he could get his dog back. Call animal control. These officers caused the dog to get killed over B.S charges. I hope that man filed a lawsuit including pain and suffering from losing his dog Sunshine 😢😢 If I wasn't afraid my comment would be taken down as an animal lover and you can see everything this man has in the world is with him and you can tell his dog was his world. This happened to me at least 10 times in my teenage years in South Central. As an adult maybe another 20 times. I once got pulled over with my Homie 16 times in 2 weeks LOL It was a crazy time growing up. Middle of a race war so don’t necessarily blame them. But to think I could’ve got killed so easily is crazy. But my disdain for police is strong. I’m 32 now. 33 in July. & I’m teaching my daughter to NEVER trust police. I was on probation all my life since 14 till about 5 years ago. Most of it was me trying to defend my rights & they didn’t like it. They hated the fact that I didn’t want them to search me every fukken day. Body Cams are a thing now & dash cams on personal vehicles as well. Cell phones are everywhere. Those things alone have stopped these cops from getting out of hand. Being Mexican is a crime in LA. Especially if u look fit & don’t let yourself from the bangers AND the cops . They always looking for an excuse to shoot u down for some reason . I would see it in their eyes . They WANT u to die . It’s a sicc thought that I never understood. It’s like staring at the Devil
