3 simple hip mobility exercises for hip arthritis

  • Loosen up your tight hips 🙌🏼
    I prefer movements such as these instead of static stretches as movement also can increase blood flow and help to give you more bang for your buck 👏🏼
    5-15 repetitions of each is likely enough but it really depends on how it feels for you. If you are super tight, start with lower repetitions ☝🏽
    These movements should not flare up pain significantly- if they do, you may not be ready for these…yet ☝🏽
    Even if you don’t “feel” tight- you may notice these are harder than you thought. Especially if you are dealing with Vance pain- these might be helpful to try!

    I have been suffering with intense hip pain for 2 weeks. It affects every part of my waking hours. I have to wait 2 more weeks to see my Doctor’s assistant! I tried your exercises 30 minutes ago & felt immediate relief…pain went from 10 to 3 or 4. Thank you doesn’t begin to express my gratitude!

      I do things like you are showing every day. I'm 72 and in pretty good shape but I need to do stretches every day to keep limber and pain to a minimum

      @@bratgirlrules8094 I fell twice! The first time in May 30th 2023,
      And I hit my ankle and the ER did X-rays and blood work and they told me arthritis! The second time I fell even harder on the ground and this time it was on my knees and my chest and legs went in opposite directions when I fell! And keep in mind that I’m obese so we fall hard! I had more X-rays done and they said Osteoarthritis in both knees , ankles , hips, left thigh and back! I’m bed bound now because of it, and i need PT so I’ll walk again! On top of this the pain is too intense, I’d rate it a 10/10 and the dr refuses to prescribe any pain meds! I also suffer from heart failure, COPD and high blood pressure! Etc……. 🥹🥹🥹🥹
      My Doctor is a pain in the A$$, he thinks I’m lying but my home care NP told him she’s not lying because I’ve seen her and she is bedbound!
      I’m sorry if I’m rambling! Please ray for me so I’ll get the care that I need from a good doctor!

    I do the side to side when I brush whats left of my teeth, really helps my hips. I have a block of wood(6inch wide by 4inch high by 8inch long) I put one foot on it when I circle my other foot, a large brick would work, try it, it feels good.

    Please do more videos for the hips. My doctor told me that I needed to start strengthening my hips because of Osteoporosis. Many of your viewers would greatly appreciate it.❤

    Yah, the hips bridge might be most beneficial overall - for most of the innards, too.

    You look very fit. You must work out. I used to go to the gym on a fairly regular basis until I noticed a nagging little pain. I thought , okay, I must have walked too far too fast or I lifted too much weight and now my knees are hurting. No. I was diagnosed with knee and hip arthritis. I’m 64 and up to about 6-7 months ago, I was fine. It’s so frustrating. I’m going to try these and follow your channel. I’m tired of feeling like an old lady.

    Are these exercises good for hip bursitis? I'm 4 weeks out from getting a prp injection and still having pain 😢

    Thanks once again. You hit the nail on the head again with exercises us used up souls can do. I get some relief from them, but I see I need to get dedicated in a routine. It seems that I get more pain in the late hours after I've been asleep. And I think that's where I wake up with Hughes stiffness in knees ,hips lower back neck. WHAT do you suggest for a sleeping position and exercise or movement in moments you wake up in pain while remaining in bed.

    What happens if I have bad hip pain but there’s nothing wrong with my bones? Idk what to do about this pain :(

      Could be muscular. My chiropractor over adjusted me completely now I have a lateral pelvic tilt right side hip is higher.

    I’ve tried doing the hip/bootie bridge. I’m not terribly overweight, but find I get cramps in back of my legs. What reasons
    might cause that. Any ideas I’d like to hear.
    I take 19 vits & herbs from a Functional Med MD. I don’t work out regularly which is probably 1st reason. But I’ve worked on this and it doesn’t go away. Thanks for any possible suggestion!

    Thank you, your content is great, but I have a question! I’m obese and I found out I have OA after a bad fall I had twice in less then one month! X-rays we’re performed 3 times which proved it! So how do I do these exercises when I’m so obese and tied down to a bed all day? I’m also in so much pain, I can’t walk!!

    If, and I do mean IF, you can: Try increasing holds of horse stance. Definitely not just for quads. Even starting out with 5-10 seconds and increasing as you can will help.

    Every time I do these, I hear and feel a loud crack and jolt like bone is rubbing against bone. Is this just a normal sensation with stiffness or something to persist with doctors? Mine already know I have osteoarthritis in L5s1 but it's a battle to get them to check my lower back and hips.

    Is there some type of an airplane pose/stretch to open up the hips you could show? I have terrible pain behind my knees, especially w/ a deep bend (can't do it!). I saw a clip and it mentioned this helped but did not give a good example. Thank you

    Is inflammation in the hip area a symptom of bursitis? It actually puffs out compared to my other side and aches sometimes. I’m seeing an orthopedic Friday because it’s been like this since last summer. I don’t know if it’s a result from an injury or something else. I still workout at the gym daily and don’t feel any sharp pain but the inflammation hasn’t gone away. 😩

    My issue is ligaments move and go out of place. When in place there is far more mobility and less pain. Then they click and move and less mobility and extreme pain. How do we fix this

    Am almost 70 and my shoulders and hips are very tight. My bonne density is -2 had that checked about three times with the exray. Bones are thin. I have to pull me up off the floor with upper body. I sleep on my sides and they will hurt in bed. I pay attention and do do these exercises that one suggests. I have the arthritis . Am sore and stiff. Paul in Ohio

    That’s great !
    How about ankles that feel jammed and they crack and hurt , then the knees can hurt at times with the mussels from the knees Down hurting .
    I saw another channel saying it’s tight mussels in lower leg that causes this .

    I still dont understand how muscle stretches are supposed to help pain coming from the hip joint itself. Ive done all these exercises and stretches, and it just makes the pain from the joint more intense.

    Fell from stairs in May had tailbone fracture still in pain can’t sit in normal sitting posture and standing after siting is painful . Can you give some exercises for that
