If you are sedentary, get up every 1 or 2 hours and do these exercises. I ended up having to scrap my vehicle 2 years ago right in the middle of the Covid crisis. I live in a rural area...no busses, Uber is expensive. I LITERALLY became a couch potato all this time and now I am a mess. MY FAULT. I KNOW if you don't use it, you will LOSE IT. I have slipped discs, arthritic hips, tight glutes and flexors. I got lazy. Now, it is more difficult and I have to work 3 times as hard to regain what I lost AND to get better than THAT!!

Alyssa...I have done these exercises 2 days in a row and after hobbling with my right hip for years, these exercises are working..you are a true inspirational godsend. So grateful..thank you. .
I have 12 weeks of recovery from broken hip. I have been through PT and going to exercise at pool. Still limping but using cane. I am going to start these exercises, and I am glad someone else agrees
I struggle with embarrassment that I've let myself get so unfit. While I have some arthritis I knew it was muscle weakness and loss of stability and strength in my muscles and tendons and ligaments. I'd found other worthy videos but was too weak, inflexible, and unstable to do them without great discomfort the next day...meaning I wouldn't/couldnt continue without increasing pain killers. Your breaking down all movement to its increments first is the key to keeping me improving. I am so very thankful.
Dr Alyssa Kuhn, I am Dr Tahera, from Bothell. Would like to congratulate you on this brilliant video You are doing a great service for the community. God bless you.

Thanks, just came at the right time think I’m ready to proceed to these ones, can’t believe how far I’ve come since following you I could barely do your gentle seated and standing workout, now I was out pressure washing the yard for 2 days this weekend, l can’t say it’s all been easy, finding what irritated my hip and what helped, besides your targeted movements to gently release my hip it’s now the strength training I’ve been able to do, now I have more movement that’s really helping my progress, I’m still not able to climb a stair R leg leading it’s always the L but I believe this strength training will get me there eventually. I can now put all my weight on R hip and do proper weight transference in the stepping exercises, I always get a few in whilst waiting for the coffee machine to brew my first morning cup!
I’m so grateful for you. You are giving me hope in improving my mobility and getting rid of the pain. Lack of mobility can make you old before your time. Keep moving everyone.
I work with pts doing physical therapy everyday. I always find it amazing how people are so quick to jump to the surgical route before trying exercise and getting rid of inflammatory foods. So glad you are spreading the word about this simple, non-invasive option that can decrease pain tremendously. Kudos to all of you who are willing to try something that will actually help your body heal instead of running to the doctor for more meds, shots, and surgery.
@@M_SC Didn't say they were. My point is the "drugs, shots, surgery" route is all the same thing. Doing something to help your body actually heal itself is the other route. One's diet has way more impact than what doctor's lead people to believe. If someone eats inflammatory foods all day everyday, what can be expected but inflammation? Common sense...
If people only did their research and learned how often surgery is unsuccesful. I hate to say it, but most people skip to surgery because they are too lazy to do any research or actually excercise or change their diet. Doctors are laughing all the way to the bank because of these people.
@@headleygrange6205 Yes, lazy and no discipline. Having something passively done to them instead of actively doing something themselves is way easier. People will do anything to avoid mild inconvenience, even doing something drastic and invasive!
I really love that you explain what each exercise helps you do in daily life. I have been working my inner thighs for a few weeks now and that has been a great help! Thank you! Although, you need to tell us how we get those powerful legs you're walking on lol.....I'm not kidding. I want those, I need those!! I'm tired of tripping over a speck of dust lol...not really funny tho.
I had physical therapy(ordered by an Orthopedic surgeon) for 6weeks, twice a week and I was doing the exercises at home as well. My hip was still on fire daily. I was absolutely miserable. I saw my PCP 2weeks ago and she recommended your channel. I’ve been doing the strengthening exercises. I feel so much better! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I’m so glad you made your way here! I’m so sorry to hear you had a negative experience with physical therapy. Now begins your journey to getting stronger!
Wow you know what you are talking about. Finally! I worked with 4 PT and 2 of them were DR. Same basic stretches, electric stimulus, ultra sound. I wish you were my PT! When you demonstrate the exercises, I can see your thigh muscles, calves being activated so you must have a strong core and muscle balance.
My balance is very bad on my right side. These exercises and your instructions have me working my hips and balance in a positive way! I feel good about doing them and your directions are exactly what I need. Thank you!❤
Thank you for this. I have arthritis but I’m fairly young, mid 40’s. There’s a lot that I cannot do anymore and my mobility is limited. I have arthritic spine, knees, and right shoulder. These exercises look very good at improving mobility and working on weak areas with minimal weight and smaller range of movement. Very good for someone like me who should not be lifting heavy or doing high intensity exercises
