@Hammer Head Thanks for the videos , very useful info. I just bought the bigfish 120 and wanted to rig my set up very similar to this, just had some questions , what type of waterproof battery /PMW connectors did you use? I’m just a little confused because I’ve searched online and finde some that are 120A or less? what type of motor tilt cleats did you use? What type of circuit breaker did you use? I’m thinking of picking up the MinnKota battery box with circuit breaker already installed since I am going to run a 30LB thrust MK motor . Sorry for all the questions!
I have a 3waters 120 and a lowrance elite fish finder, when I went to mount the transducer on the bottom of the compartment it was lower than the bottom, so I mounted it inside on the bottom and drilled a couple small holes in the compartment which left about 4inches of water come in, and so far it works very well, I don’t know if the speed is accurate but I believe that it works through the gps anyway.
If you reverse the direction of the eye bolt going through the shaft, you can order a larger aluminum carabiner from REI outdoors or a climbing outlet that will go around the shaft and through the eye bolt, it may shorten the tag end sticking out of your mounting plate.
You probably figured out your Caribeener dilemma, but if not, I was thinking to eliminate the Beener and replace with a "C" or "U" shaped dillio, that has a hole at each end...and it would wrap around the motor shaft (with hole drilled through) and attach with a clevis pin.
Gr8 tutorial! I have the Cabelas version 120. Doesn’t have the cable tubes or holes...any recommendations for adding would be appreciated. I too would be interested in a bracket. Again, great videos.
Does the hand "get up assist" strap come standard on this kayak or is it an aftermarket item? (Thanks for the advise on this product, looks like a real jewel of a boat for fishing).
Im thinking of buying this kayak for next year I just dont like how they did not put any access panels four running wires. Or for adding a power pole to the rear or whatever else you would like I know you can add the access panels but would be nice if they would come from the factory that way in also looking at the Wilderness Systems Recon 120 but its around 7lb heavier and about 2ft longer but you can store 3 rods on each side by laying them down they cut out a Groove along the side and made a little bump out in the back for the reals to sit but I love how the seat on the big fish 105 lifts up and gives you tons of room the seat on the Recon works like the seat in your car it just slides back and forth no adjusting for height
How about you locate the pwm inside, suspended from under the tracking, by a strip of rubber ( vibration) two screws hidden in the groove of the tracking, and extend the switch wires as needed. No big hole to cut no facia piece to make. Leave enough wire, to be able to dismount it and reach the access hole.....
Also did you do any progressions vids or snap shots of the work. I really want to get mine up so i can start fishing tournaments this year. Looking also patiently to hear about be able to order the trolling motor bracket and associated hardware.
How to shorten T.M. tilt: a.) Directly install a flush mount pulley (HARKEN Micro Pulley) to the motor shaft tube by using U-BOLTS to prevent having to drill into the motor's shaft tube. b.) Anchor your pull string to the T.M. mount bracket (Use one of the screws that secure the relocated handle). c.) Route paracord (anchored to T.M. mount bracket/ relocated handle screw) through pulley, then through the BRASS guide in the T.M. mount, and then rout to your HARKENS pulley, NAUTUS cam-cleat, and pull handle. This method should help maximize the tilt throw you're trying to achieve, Hammer Head. Here is another method for consideration (TIMESTAMP 15:22): ruclips.net/video/AmmWLZfXPBQ/видео.html
Your kayaks are the cleanest and most well thought out examples of what a fishing kayak can be.
Joseph B Thank you
I bought this kayak and have been looking for ideas how to rig it better....yours is the best I've seen so far
nice job. really clean work just love what you did to your kayak.
Dude what a rig! Awesome job!
New sub here! Pretty sweet vid keep em coming

Love the setup on the trolling motor! Will the mounting plate work on the 120? And do you make them and ship? Thanks I enjoy your videos!
Wish I had a kayak and it’s sweet how you make this stuff, make an update vid on this yak

How did you remove the pedal locks without cutting them. Also how did you run the wiring to put your controls in the handle?
Looks great! Got a few ideas for my yak. Was wondering what type of trolling motor battery are you running?
Take a look at my battery video. It’s a custom battery but now days there are plenty of lithium options that are affordable.
Any plans for a kit for the Outlaw?
I really want to see how you mounted your pwm

Moved my eye bolt to the side instead of the front, so now the motor is pulled sideways and gives me about 8 inches more clearance.
Looking to buy one of these kayaks. You sell the mounts?
Gr8 tutorial! I have the Cabelas version 120. Doesn’t have the cable tubes or holes...any recommendations for adding would be appreciated. I too would be interested in a bracket. Again, great videos.
68robo68 check out my pescador videos,I go through the entire install from start to finish

It comes standard! Great kayak !

Running wires are easy, just added some lights for those early mornings and it was a piece of cake.
There are the Crome ones with the opening jaws.... Might be the way to go!
Kevin Wy I think I found something a clip that will work, and rigging my knot a little different so it won’t take up as much space. Thanks.
Where and how did you fish your wiring through
What is the magnets you used

Are you happy with the location of the switch and knob? Any issues with water?
Robert Ritsema very, its been working out Great!
Also did you do any progressions vids or snap shots of the work. I really want to get mine up so i can start fishing tournaments this year. Looking also patiently to hear about be able to order the trolling motor bracket and associated hardware.
Did you look at the bonifide kayak? I stand up and fish a lot on mine. Currently trying to figure out how to put a trolling motor on it
El tigre P I’ve looked a little, hard to find one for a good deal. This 105 fell in my lap fora great price. Super happy with it so far!
That 105 is a nice setup. Really like your PWM set up. Super clean!
How’d you wire your pwm forward and reverse and speed knob to the handle? Did you have to rewire to extend?
Yes, just extended the wires about 18”
You have an email so I can ask you a few more questions?
Where do you put the switch for the speed controller to go to reverse ?? Did I miss it
It right behind the knob for speed , but on the side of the rail.
What size we’ll nuts and bolts did you use on the mount
wesley brown 5/16
Can you sell me just the mounting bracket and the hardware to mount it
One quick question what are the dimensions of the back water well where the X is at
If you could let me know that would be great 👍
Mychal D Sainz the whole tub back there?
Just where the x is at so I can see how big I can make my crate

How difficult was it to fish the wires inside the kayak?
Easy, using coat hangers
@@sikassscivic Thanks for the reply. What size wires did you use to extend the switch and knob for the pwm?
What battery did you use?
Check out my other videos, I have a whole video just on the battery. It’s custom.
Do you sell the trolling motor kit for this. Kayak I have the same one
Tay Adams I do not, it’s mostly my pescador 100 kit that I sell but with modifications.
Hammer Head do you have a website or can you give me a price on that kit
How did you get the switch and speed control knob into the handle
wesley brown cut out the back side of the handle, extended the wires and put foam back Into the handle to keep water out
Hammerhead, do you have any pics of where and how you cut it??
stevemelton81 just check out my other videos
Small boat cleat will lost over an inch on your up motor
Lithium battery?
Shawn K lifePO4 lithium
