    Do you sew pillowcases? I'd love to know who you make them for and why - lmk! My son had lots of holiday and special interest pillowcases growing up and now my niece and nephews give me requests. The most recent being cats, pizza and avocado! 🤣

    When my son was little he had to have an extended stay in the hospital. Some local ladies made and donated fun print pillowcases for the Pedi unit there. We still have his snowman pillowcase to this day, 15 years later. I think of what a comfort it was for him. It just made him feel well cared for and special. ❤

      I'm sorry he had to have an extended stay in the hospital but it warms my heart to hear how local sewists gave him comfort with a fun pillowcase. Sometimes it's the little things like this that really stick with you.

    Appreciate you showing how to use directional fabric. Also, taking your time yet not stretching out the instructions. Direct and precise.

      You're very welcome and yes... taking out the fluff but keeping the important points takes a crazy amount of time sometimes but totally worth it!

    I'm so glad I found your video!! I've just started making pillowcases as I want to make them for my family for Christmas. I thought I had it all figured out until I watched this video....I got the directional fabric and how to cut it, but I didn't take into account havig my cuff on the right and left!! Now I know how to do it...Thanks so very much for explaining this in great detail!!

    I have a serger but prefer French seams on pillowcases.

      French seams are pretty easy on pillowcases too 👍🏻

    Thank you for sharing! No serger so my pillowcases have French seams. I, too, prefer a directional print to visually go the right way.

      Right? That shop tried to pull one over on me but I wasn't having it! 🤣

    Thanks for this video. I'm going to do a couple valentine ones and mail them tomorrow. Can you confirm whether measurements are for standard pillowcases or king size? Their bed is king size.

      These are for standard. Look up or measure what a king size would be and add the difference to the 27” measurement of the main fabric. What a great gift! 🥰

    Could you please say what the finished pillow case dimensions are please - i'm needing my pillow case finished size to be 18*28 - thank so much :)

      @ArtistTaraReed  4 месяца назад

      It’s in the description - approx 19” x 29” so you can adjust the fabric size slightly to make is 18” x 28”
