    There were LOTS of comments to have the bottom 2 steps able to detach or slide in out of the way

      I was one of those people that suggested to have the 2 bottom steps flip up or move to side out of the pathway for walking. I believe that idea is a great one. I’m sure others would agree also.

    • @chippalmer01

      They could just run the steps straight down the wall with a little landing area over the water heater and give you more walk area. I Iike that idea.

      @@Roobah YUP... a good opportunity to create an efficiently produced prototype step with removable or preferably slide in bottom 2 steps... That can be a permanent amenity if well designed, and efficiently produced. The bottom steps do NOT need glide hardware.... I have an old wooden drawer on its side in my kitchen... Gets used as a seat, used as storage, and used as a step... It's heavyweight solid wood.... We have 8 little plastic feet on the bottom... That is simply and easily slides around on with hardly much of a push. There are 2 types of easy furniture feet... Those you hammer in(break easily) ... And those you screw in(very tugged and long lasting) .... The hammer in type often split(and the nails often bend during installation 1 in 10 will breal... The screw in type are solid, don't break, long lasting, and permanently glide well... But require a guide hole drilled.... So the screw in type would be a good candidate for the bottom set of 2 steps.... Would need 8 glides.... Might get away with 6 glides.... 3 or 4 each side rolight and left

      Was wondering the height of these built homes, and if they can go just around the limit of height is allowed maybe it would give more head room for taller customers, and if can’t raise height of house perhaps not put door by loft and not have window exactly under where the loft would be maybe to lower window so loft can be low but high enough for some headroom, but if it was mine the height of 6ft would be high enough because I'm short and the only person I know over 6ft is my ex and he's not welcome to be in there anyways 😅, but having the footage higher would be nice not sure of limit, maybe 13ft -14ft

    Yes Manders! 👍😉That’s what I’ve been thinking about since watching these tiny homes, I’d definitely have to have one of those safety ladders upstairs! By the way, this is such a great deal but when I’m ready I’d have to have a bit more room in the bathroom for a jetted tub, a real fireplace (wood or gas) somewhere in living room with a mantle, and a bit more head room in the loft. I know some are saying that you’re only going to sleep up there, but I like to relax in bed with a book and look out at whatever views up high through the windows. I did notice though not enough space above the entry door to lower the loft. Love the stairs and how it separates the two areas,yet doesn’t look closed off, and the option to have a second loft. I’d probably have to go with a custom with all my preferences lol. Hope Sam continues to get better, prayers up for all of you!😘🙏❤️

    Very cute & a great deal for the money :) Re an escape ladder, homeowners could attach a narrow but *very sturdy* ornamental plant trellis to the outside wall to use in an emergency. Plus it would look pretty.
    (Some TH designers make the bottom 2 stair steps able to roll & tuck away under the main steps. You should consider this as an option. This way LR access/the walk-thru area opens up a bit more.)

    I love this size of home. I think a daybed downstairs would work better. When you were in the loft it didn't look like you would have enough room after you put a mattress there. I think beings your doing a prototype this would be something to think about addressing. Please don't be affected it's just a suggestion. I love ITH and what your doing Randy and Amanda. Randy I was so sorry to hear about Sam. I'm so happy he pulled through. Sending him well wishes from Illinois.

    I like how the stairs compartmentalize the home! It defines the kitchen/bathroom area and still has the large living room area downstairs. With the house being made with the ESP panels, it is light weight, lasts forever, and has a very attractive look! Y'all are right! This is the best yet and affordable! This model will put you On The Map, so to speak.

    I love how homey this looks. I just need to figure out where I would put my clothes and dog groom supplies. My puppy would love those windows upstairs and they are safe too, so cool. Love Rany's crisp white shirt too, ha. I think I'd get a half fridge and put my clothes above it possibly. I don't use a microwave luckily. Hope his brother continues his healing journey.

    Don’t like how the stairs come out into the room. The loft needs to be higher.

    Will you put trim across the seams with screws outside?

      These are the new panels and they will not have the screws exposed 😊

    • @jssmith1608
      @jssmith1608 6 месяцев назад +1

      I wondered about this as well. I'm not sure the ITH response understands your question. As it is, the double dormer section has exposed screws on this "smooth panel" home. The remedy would require using taller panels for dormer and gable ends, but I have heard no mention of them doing this. So, the only other option is to put lps or wood trim on the exterior horizontal seams where screws are exposed. Perhaps the ITH responder will clarify since your question wasn't answered. Either they put trim or make dormer and gable ends with taller panels to avoid having seam with screws.

    Just wondering if you could swing the bottom steps around in front of the window ? Keep the landing, visitors can use the steps to set on.

    Many of you are forgetting that different counties and states have different requirements for headroom for main living spaces, and some additionally have height requirements for lofts in tiny homes. In order the sell these nationwide, ITH and other manufacturers have to err on the side of building to fit the most expansive requirements. In CA, the main living space has to be at least a 6'4 or 6'8 clearance (something like that, I don't have it memorized), and the loft space has to have a 40" clearance. A 43" clearance is generous. And the whole building can't be higher than 13'6". So, there will be compromises in height, because it is dependent upon the height of the trailer and then how one meets building codes up to the height limit.

    • @marshal8981
      @marshal8981 6 месяцев назад +2

      In this case, it's very straightforward. Overall height, 13'6" for towing purposes. The loft can't be lowered as things are because it's already at the top of the door. Functionally, there's a difference between a loft used for storage and one for sleeping.

    I find a microwave needs to be lower, when you are short and you cook something hot, soup it can spill and burn you taking in down above your head. I liked it above the counter, just something to think about.

    Not sure what kind of washer/dryer would be best in the spot allocated, but if side by side front loaders fit, then put microwave on one of them. If there is room enough a small shelf above could work.

    Q: is there any way that the door placement can be switched for the window and the window put where the door is? I would put my eat at counter in the kitchen are just under the window is the placement could be switched.

    I absolutely Love your design.❤ I wish I could afford one with the stairs, but unfortunately, I'm on a fixed income. I have my property to put it on, but again, I have no money to buy one. I live in my 25 year old van. It sure would be a nice upgrade. Maybe if you keep making them and if I ever win the lotto, I'll buy one.
