Randy, Lordt knows I think the world of you guys, and this is a beautiful home, but you CANNOT just pull into any ole RV park with a 40' container home. It would need to be an RV park that especially allows for tiny homes incl containers, or even has a dedicated tiny house section. Most RV parks do not - yet.

@ryefry plenty of high end motorhomes that length. It's the aesthetic aspect. Tiny home lovers appreciate it for what it is but people who pay $120k for their fifth wheel trailer or $350k+ for their motorhome aren't likely to like it.

Would it be possible to have pocket doors rather than the sliding barn doors and put the toilet where the sink is , make the toilet face

Anytime a Barndoor takes up usable wall space, it's not a good design choice. Pocket or regular door into bedroom much better choice.

Agreed!!!! “Put the toilet where the sink is, make the toilet face toward the rear of trailer” seems like cut would be more room walking to and from bedroom and a much better visual from living room to bedroom-and a bit more potty privacy too.

Curious if the Amish could design a spot where the toilet is more tucked away. Toilets used to be called WC’s - water closet - as they were closeted for hygiene and privacy.
It would make the bedroom slightly shorter, but really be a game changer. Visually, practically (not having to skirt it all the time) and sanitary germ wise.

Add foot and a half to bedroom from bathroom. Put toilet same side as shower si it doesnt stick out. Tankless above toilet. Put under counter combo W/D in kitchen. Less kitch cabinets make 6' long. Makes livingroom bigger. Move front door over that 2'. Also 2 hopper windows in LR instead of large windows and 2 over couner in kitchen. Perfect.!

Hey Randy & Amanda; Did you read about the man who stayed at the Vennician Pallazio hotel in Vegas, who was bit 3 or 4 times by a Scorpion? He went to emergency room & was in tremendous pain. Hotel didn’t do anything so he is suing them. Scorpion was under his sheets! Ouch!!😮😮😮

Such a nice home! I'd have shelves built in above the W/H in the bathroom, a 3' wide tall closet on the wall across from there, with an upper & lower hanging rod (6' of hanging space), and then a dresser in the bedroom to the right of the door. Could also get a storage bed frame. Lots of room for storage!

Most tiny home owners use a cooktop and a 25 quart or smaller convection oven, to save space. Randy knows his customers well. We all want different models, so he just gives us the sink and exhaust fan as standard, and we can add the small appliances we want.

Hey an idea for the pantry is put them on glides so you can pull them out. It would be so much more convenient especially in a tiny home. Also an oven is a must! And maybe make the bathroom a bit smaller and put a small closet in the bedroom, but other than that it’s a good one!

Question .. is it more expensive to have all gas appliances? I would be living out in the country where when a storm comes through the electricity goes out for a few hours .. I would much prefer to have gas stove and hot water heater.

The problem with all propane in a tiny home is the extra humidity the propane appliances create. You'd end up with mold problems. Consider solar or wind instead, with extra battery back-up.

They offer a 20' container home. I saw one the other day that put a sectional in the living space, and a bed on a rail & pulley system above it. Smaller kitchen & bathroom, but 20' was enough.

I like container homes, BUT there is no closet or a stove! I would not buy a home where I could not have a stove or a closet. I have a imagination to figure out the space though. Can you leave a space in the cabinet for a stove?

I thought it did have a stove, one of those flat stove tops. You can get one of those 2 burners and store in cabinet when not using. I would prefer that. You can have 3 closets in that one. He showed you where to place.

I heard there is a way to get rid of that. It's installed on the roof. An 'air exchanger' keeps out the condensation.

I personally think that living containers are a better choice because you can connect them any way you wand, stack them, and they are sturdier than shipping containers. Yo cannot just cut the side of shipping container and connect them you have to reinforce the structure.

Would it be possible to have one of these on one of your neighbor hood lots, and have a smaller container next to it for an office to use for remote work, and to house a FUNCTIONAL TRAINER/cable machine? A treadmill. For constant rehabilitive use daily? Looking at one of these, but would also want no sliding door, smaller windows along that same side, because space is so limited, would like to have ikea and other shelving options. Small 8ft patio connecting office unit to the tinyhouse, enclosed patio for dogs to sun bath and be safe from wandering when unsupervised. I also like to fish, and bow hunt, so would like to store my fishing stuff and bow hunting stuff, maybe a small spare freezer in the smaller office space. Lastly a security screen door that can be left open for ventilation, and wont rip like mesh screen doors with my dogs! Only other thing I'd want to do is install a goal zero fuse box with existing one, to run a goal zero 6000 just in case for power outtages, storms, etc. But other wise, besides my questions, I love this house setup!
