- In this video, I go through a handful of key issues that I pulled from my collection as I prep them for moving out of state. Many of the comics that I identify are character first appearances but there is a sprinkling of great cover art, personal favorites and a few comic collecting tips. This video was originally LIVE on Facebook Key Collector Comics - This is the edited version with no shoutouts

Awesomeness here! Good video job!!
Nice info on those keys, you should do more. Love those Solar Man of the Atom books.
Thanks man!!
1st I'm a have to look for that Blood and Water...I saw that BabyTeeth #1 at Baltimore Comic Con I wish I would have bought it..I double board my bags .
Double boards is probably good too. Also I know a dude who buys magazine size boards (or maybe silver age) and gets them cut down to a specific size at kinkos so they fill out the whole modern age bag That way the corners don’t have no chance of getting damaged
@@KeyCollectorComics oh Now that's using the ol noodle...what I'm trying to figure out is whats causing color rubbing, smuging or fading on the back of some my books.
@@CarolinaChris26 I wonder if its the boards you're using
@@KeyCollectorComics I've always wondered that
nice vid man.
RAG718 thank you
Awesome video, stoked on the micronauts,I was wondering on how you feel about getting your main keys graded?I just got my first graded book about a month ago was trying to get some feedback on em?
Jerry Marshall hey Jerry. Thanks for watching. I’m not a graded book guy. Once it’s all armored up to me it feels like it no longer is a comic but that’s just me. Plus making sure they’re handled with care feels like it’s part of the art of collecting. That’s just me though and I don’t think one way is better than the other. So the answer to your question is, I’m probably the wrong guy to ask. No doubt it validates the book and increases the value. I think it’s a smart thing to do
I love watching a COLLECTOR show his comics. Especially the stuff from the 80's & 90's. B/c around 2004 SJW books started creeping into the main stream and just really LGBT'd up the entire industry. Thanks dude!
Cool! Thanks! What's the big red X all about at about the 1:00 mark? Nice NYXs. Who can afford all the streaming services? lol
Oh. It’s because I misspoke. I said it was when power Man and Iron fist began sharing began sharing a title but its actually when they first met. it became Power Man and Iron fist in Issue #50
What bag do you use to triple board?
Dwayne Shelton modern.
NYX is pronounced "Nicks". Not spelled out phonetically.
That’s not true If you’re referring to the character Nyx, then yes. NYX refers to District X in New York which was where a major population of Marvel Mutants lived
See...we learn something new every day. I thought it stood for New York Exchange. Silly... right?
