- In this video, I go through a handful of key issues that I pulled from my collection as I prep them for moving out of state. Many of the comics that I identify are character first appearances but there is a sprinkling of great cover art, personal favorites and a few comic collecting tips. This video was originally LIVE on Facebook Key Collector Comics - This is the edited version with no shoutouts

I advise, collect what you love, and love what you collect. I have a few issues in this video because they are comics I love. Great video. Good luck and safe journey's on the move.
Hey Nick, just wanted to say I'm proud and impressed on your ability to tell truth-to-power on your Key Collector app, such as Gambit's true first appearance in X-Men annual 14, among other true info on your app. Don't let these other fools tell you otherwise. Keep on keeping on.
Thank you. That means a lot
@@nickels138 My pleasure, brother. I, and others, have your back on this.
Epic collection man! Good luck with the move!

Chad Lee thank you buddy
Chad Lee that’s the main goal. Make collecting more fun. Thanks for your support chad
Awesome collection. 👍🏽👍🏽
Fun fact that Wonder Woman cover inspired the the name of the character Black Lightening
You can get that same feeling with full back boards that mylite make so you dont have to use that many boards and the library of Congress used the same for storing documents
LOL great job
Do you have a video on valiant comics speculations? And do 2nd and 3rd prints count as first appearance's
Today I bought edge of Spider verse #2 first appearance of Spider Gwen at my local comic book store for cover price of $4
Great video and books! Was curious if those are all in regular bags and no.. Or are you using mylight 2s?
metalmaniac dm thanks bud. Some of them are in mylites. Some poly. The ones that are in the beginning are all mylites
Are those Mylar bags
I found the NYX series 1-7 at 2nd and charles for $20.
What?! When
@@KeyCollectorComics here is my post about it www.reddit.com/r/comicbookcollecting/comments/91sxie/found_lot_for_20/?
So Nick all your books are keys now- I’m looking at doing the same thing
most of them are. some aren't that are sentimental or stories i really like. I have the entire run of fables, Y the last man and Lucifer. But for the most part, I'd say 90 percent of my collection are keys. I consolidated a few years back. I wish I could have them back to go through them again. I know I gave up some good books and sold them to Half Price Books for next to nothing. But hey, probably made someone happy. Yes managing keys only is WAY easier. Then if there's something you want to read - get the graphic novel when the series ends. i like having a library of graphic novels. I consolidated probably 12 long boxes of graphic novels down to 4 and maybe 12 longboxes down to approx 6 long
its also a lot more fun and to me, meaningful to go through my books and have that story behind a story
Was that dust book an Ethan Van Sciver book. Been meaning to get his run on X men books and the subliminal message sex book lol
It is...great eye! I just looked it up
@@KeyCollectorComics is that an eye joke......lol. watched his videos on comic pro artist secrets he's got some cool old wars stories when he worked at marvel. Good stuff.
@@animalmother8037 no it wasn't an eye joke...haha...why would you think that. Does he have an eye thing going on?
@@KeyCollectorComics obviously he did with that cover.
What was the book that you sold that you regret? I’m just curious is all.
John Vickrey the walking dead #1-50
Key Collector Comics I sold Walking Dead #1 for $10 so I can imagine
John Vickrey agh! That’s a bummer man. I got a good amount for it but I’d rather have had it
Key Collector Comics I sold my copy early on after year of its release.
Son of the Bat is the 1st appearance of Damien Wayne.
Son of the Demon, as a baby. It's a retcon.
@@KeyCollectorComics Even if it was made Elseworld by Morrison, it's still a 1st appearance. Batman Adventures is not part of DC continuity yet is HQ 1st appearance
Joey REY REY I’m not disagreeing with you. I like that it’s retconned but the comparison to Harley’s first is too far off in my opinion. She was pretty well established as-is when entering continuity.
@@KeyCollectorComics You're right that Son of the Demon comparison to Batman Adventures 12 is unjust.....but only because SoD is more defined. It was the actual 1st appearance and conception of Talia and Bruce's son....and he was shown as a baby in the end of the story. Morrison admitted taking his concept from this book as well....and DC made it part of continuity in 2006 in regular comic form. Batman Adventures can never be made as part of DC continuity.
Well if you need some help moving let me know I will work for Keys 🔑📚📒📔
Do you have Jim's permission to do your show like this I think he holds some copy rights on this lol
Who’s Jim? Ohhh. You mean the quitter!
It's pronounced dark side
