Although it’s sad you don’t have the time to collect comics as much, I have to say I’m glad you keep all your time focused on the app. I check it dozens of times a day since I’ve gotten back into collecting. Everything I loved about Wizard magazine as a kid is now at my fingertips in real time with your app. Thank you so much for your hard work you put into it. My son and I have enjoyed it everyday since we started our subscription.

Your app is absolutely incredible!!! It has helped me out so so much. I use it very frequently and out of any comic book apps, I like this one the best!!! I would highly recommend to anybody. Plus if you become a member, the percs with that alone are worth every cent! I’m really happy I found key comic collector app and I don’t think I’ll use anything else

lol comic book spelunking gear XD haha great video and collection!!! very much the same kind of collector I am, that lady death is awesome, cant go wrong with action comics 869 beer variant lol, morbius, first appearance of hob goblin great book, of course house of secrets is amazing , first red Sonja, adam warlock, moon knight, and don't think I didn't see that mignola signed hellboy sketch that's awesome, been after all those and will get them eventually, this app is a game changer to say the least and your a genius and pretty funny, hopefully billy doesn't want to eat your collection like my cat does lol again just have to say great collection, app and video :) looking forword to whats next for key collector comics!! thanks man

Nice, I didn't realize you are based in my hometown. I can't have enough about your app. I used to buy comics from an old mom and pops comics store next to an A & P back in Milwaukee in the early1980's and off an outside vendor over by the University.

@@KeyCollectorComics I grew up there but live in Central Florida now. I lived on 8th and Ohio back in 70's and moved to New Berlin in 1980 until 1985.

I did the same thing with my collection I sold two 3rds of it ..I only kept about 8 -9 small boxes and selected hardcovers

Great video and awesome collection bud! Love all your keys! I got back into the hobby back in early 2018 and decided to strictly buy only keys... So luckily I have alot of the books you showed.. But there's alot I don't have still... But I paid waaaaaaayyy more for my keys than you did... Like $1000s... Guess I shouldn't have stopped 12+ yrs ago.. Sigh! Oh btw I also have that Wolverine /Sabre tooth book.. And I found out it's NOT really their first battle... They battled before that in an X-Men book... Can't remember the issue.. But it predates the Wolverine book! Great stuff though and I really enjoy your witty sense of humour!

My favorite cover of all time is Amazing Spider-man #238. It's also a great read. Roger Stern is my favorite Spidey writer.

Astonishing Tales #25 is also the first work by George Perez, so it's worth having just for that. Since you like The Avengers(which he worked on) and artwork, I just wanted to throw that out there. Cool video, man. Sweet collection.

Hmm? Well, I know that Amazing Spiderman #38 was Steve Ditko's last work for Marvel. Ironman is my favorite character, so I'd love to know what Jack Kirby's last work was, but I can't find any info. Not sure about their first work, since Stan Lee got most of the credit for their earlier creations(not saying Lee stole any credit, just saying other people focused on him more than most). I'm, getting back into the hobby after being out for a couple decades, so I'm kinda' playing "catch-up".

Well look I showed the best of what I have and I am proud of it. I have more that I go through in some other videos...not as impressive. And a lot of graphic novels.

Nice to see you're keeping it old school,without any slabs(well except for that one).I'm the same way. I want to be able to hunt them down.You know,touch,feel,smell(O.K. maybe smell is a little weird) but you know what I mean.
I'm not into it. Don't think I ever could be. Smelling is okay. Smelling is good unless its the creepy guy smells the girls hair as she walks by kind of smell.

Never understood the concept of collecting or sending books out to get stabbed. It only make sense to me if you are selling or wanting to buy at a specific grade and it requires trusting the third party grading service used. They are meant to be cracked.
It’s good for verification (especially for signatures and restorations) and protection. It’s not hard to see both perspectives. All of my MAJOR keys over a certain value get graded.
Great collection. Sorry to hear your not buying right now. Maybe soon you can get back to hunting those key books again.

What size bags and birds you use? My modern ages don’t fit certain bags
Modern but I use two or three modern boards
I’m doing this to help: I’m a Court Reporter & audio engineer. Please invest in the cheapest Samson Meteor Mic & a pop filter; it’s half the price of a Blue Yeti microphone & just as good. It will improve the audio immensely for less than $70. Just tying to help.

Question can you explain what it truly means for a book to be option for a movie or tv show (what does it take to get optioned and long does it sit before it is a reality)
James Ewing hey James. Optioned is the equivalent of “parking” a website name (buying a website and not doing anything with it until you’re ready or to keep it from other buyers). Optioned is the “intention” of developing it. There are a lot of steps that occur before filming begins such as getting financiers, adapting a script, securing producers, directors etc. A lot can happen in this phase where the thing falls apart. Options can be repurchased like renting an apartment. Renewing a lease. That’s the broad-stroke overview . Step two, as far as he App is concerned is “in development” which means it’s a pretty good chance we’ll see it come through.
With the streaming war that’s coming, so many production houses making content for a boom of streaming services, I think we’ll see a lot of comic properties come to life. Think about how easy it is to adapt a comic vs a book. For the most part, a basic storyboard is already created. Dialogue can be lifted from a book and reworked.

I found that Uncanny X Men #221 in a Half Price book store for $20 then i found that the store was having a half off sale that day so i get it for $10.

Are you using silver age mylards to store your comics ?
MrRockfish01 no they’re modern. It’s a perfect fit. The silver bags I’ve seen a guy (Jeremy from Iowa also. Ha!) use magazine boards and take them to fedex to get them trimmed down in bulk to a specific measurement. That works well also and it’s cheaper.
