I'm thinking that there could be other factors at work worth considering. What does the CGC census show for the numbers of copies of these books? Have there been a lot more of these particular issues slabbed? And if so, at what grade? If more and more people are getting copies of these issues graded and putting them on the market, it just comes down to supply and demand rather than actual interest falling off. It could be a factor influencing a decline here.

I haven't collected since the mid 2,000's It was the same thing back then release a bunch of variants watched them skyrocket pay way too much for them.... I just looked up all of my comics and a majority of them are under $20 some of them cover price.
Do People really “upgrade” later? In my experience if they say that’s their plan, but they stay with the book they originally bought because either they cannot find a deal or cannot afford to upgrade.
Nobody's talking about the two aspects of the Captain Marvel movie I'm most looking forward to - the Skrulls, and the 90s setting. I'm pumped for those elements and I want to see the history of the MCU get filled out a bit more
Never forget that the speculators of the 90s also became the liqudators of the 90s. Buy books because you want to read them, not because you think they'll be a good investment.
I have to walking Dead here's negan 25th anniversary blind box. So does everybody else on the planet. But there's only supposed to be five hundred of them? last time I checked eBay not including my store there were 13 or 14 copies for sale on eBay this was only a couple weeks ago. I question the 500 legitimacy.
Nobody wants it, everyone wants to sell it. Because of the allocation and people I have talked to, I think 500 is legit. When it was worth THREE TIMES the entire box cost, people just tried to flip them. Then they released the trade paperback, so you can read the story for less than twenty$...
Man I got. Suicide squad 1 for 30 bucks raw and I sent to get graded at CalComic show. Didn’t do it for a profile but more for sentimental value. Hopefully it comes back a 9.8.

I think Suicide Squad failed because it was a movie spec and then the movie popped and the comic had no Harley Quinn so what's the point! She drives the comic, not the name. great video guys!!
The reason why I love this list is cause it gives you a different perspective on comics. I love the hot top 10 list, and it’s awesome when you find out you have a copy that’s going for a decent amount of money now... but, and don’t get me wrong sometimes it feels like “damn I’ll never be able to afford any of these cool books”. The NOT hot list give me a good feeling of “nice! I can afford this cool book and now I’m super excited to get out there and go hunting!”

I’m excited for Captain marvel although I have some concerns that it could come off as a mess. My main concern is that they try to make it funnier than it should be. I mean, if this cat thing is too much or is a focal point and fails...not good.
I picked up a raw SS#1 (VF +/NM-) for my Chaykin collection for about $25 last June/July, it took me about 3 years to find a copy under $50 - 'cause of the damn movie. Now as far as characters go I didn't give 2 chits and a fuq about SS, only Harley & Joker (both were awesome) and really liked Will Smith (as I don't really know/care about Derpshot-err Deadshot) he did a fine entertaining job...saw it 3 times in the cinema, I enjoyed it more than all the Diz/Marvel films (except Iron Man 1-3, Ant Man 1 & 2, and Avengers 2).
I’m surprised Spider Gwen #1 1:100 cover wasn’t on the list. I remember when it was on the top 10 list for 3 weeks in a row and then never heard from again.
It stopped climbing, but hasn't dropped. Recent sales in the $450-650 range AND a super low print run keep it steady. If it went from 500 to 100 (like negan...) then we have a Not Ten contender
I get so much crap because Suicide Squad is a guilty pleasure of mine lol. I hated Leto’s voice but didn’t mind his look. Loved Waller. Boomerang cracked me up. Harley was crazy in a way I’d expect and not an airhead like they tend to make her in animated films. It had tons of flaws but it’s almost so bad it’s good to me lol
I found a copy of suicide squad for $2.00 in a bin last week at a comic con I attended. I just likes the cover and had no idea it was a key issue. I would say it's a 9.0 range. ✌
There are 2 things working against Av Spidey #9 right now. I'm gonna say that most comic buyers are still mostly older white males and many are butt-hurt about Brie Larson’s recent comments, so the first is the political climate. The second is timing. With the movie about to be released, speculators have flooded the market looking to cash out at this point, and you can see that Captain Marvel's other keys have also softened (MSH#13 & Ms. Marvel #1). It's hard to say how good the movie is going to be at this point but if Marvel remains consistent, it should be fairly good. I doubt it will achieve Black Panthers success but it should do just as well at Ant Man and Dr. Strange. It's also hard to predict how large of a group the naysayers are and what impact they will have trying to derail the movies success. They've certainly been loud so I guess we'll see what happens in the coming weeks.
You know what I love about this show. How CBSI has the inside track on investment comics after they're sold out. Or after certain books jump in price after they release their list. That's not at all coincidental.....is it?
Unfortunately more pain as Walking Dead #1 will tank. I've been speculating the demise of the popularity of the show with significant decrease and lack of interest in this title. Off-load WD#1 asap.
