You forgot to mention that on older devices you have to open Control Centre and open the NFC Tag Reader first.

I’m hearing so many stories of people being tracked with AirTags now. Just read a story about how Car Thieves are using AirTags to stalk cars and stealing them at opportune times. This scares me.

Ok only got serial number and last 4 digits of phone number, so how can I find owner with serial number?
I commend Apple for selling this product for such a low cost to prevent thieves from stealing it. If this were expensive item air tax would be stolen daily but considering they only cost $30 there a slim chance that you’ll have your stolen so kudos to Apple for that. They were definitely thinking things through when creating this. I recently wrote in a lift and apparently left my keys in there and it kept showing that my keys were in a parking lot but when I got to that parking lot I realized it was an Apple store so some kind person took my keys to an Apple Store so I was able to go to that Apple Store and retrieve my keys thank goodness! Thank God for Apple AirTag!!! Best purchase I’ve made in a long time. Actually that’s a lie, I didn’t buy it, my 20-year-old daughter bought it for me because I lose my keys about 10 times a week. And had she not bought this for me about two months ago I probably would’ve never gotten my keys back there’s no way possible. Thanks Apple! 🍎

Question, I enabled iCloud photos but now I wanted to disable it. Is there a way to only remove the photos from the other device and keep the photos that is originally taken on the phone stay on the phone?

What if there is no info attached to this airtag? Can’t reset airtag. Is it trash?
what if I dont want anyone else to get involved with my lost item? I really dont want the theif knowing I am aware my item is stolen and Im looking for it and I doubt they will be willing to call me and return the item and I really dont want to come face to face with said criminal....Am I able to just look up the location of my lost item and hunt for it myself? And call police when I see it on the map? ie; inside a strange home or vehicle? I'd have no idea what kind of random iphone user is who might receive a notification of a lost item of mine.

One question: I just bought a MagSafe battery pack, can I use it on my puro iPhone 12 case? Search it up to see how it looks, please need answers!
U should be able to use it
You can charge it with the case, if the case also has MagSafe it will charge faster and it will stick to your iPhone. If your case doesn’t have MagSafe it will still charge it but not as fast

Today my house key (with an air tag) etc was stolen out of my backpack. Thank good my IPhone 13 strap got stuck with the backpack so my IPhone wasn't stolen. After two hours I finally found my house key. It had been thrown away in a bush. I can not believe, that I got at least my keys back. I bought my air tag on the last "Black Friday" Best purchase ever! I am so thankful for my air tag. Still a bit sad about another personal item which was stolen as well, but thank good not the iPhone!!!!!
How to find files/docs in cloud drive on PC ? One can find files/docs thru "search box" in mobile phone, but "search box" in not there in cloud drive while using it in PC. Plz guide. I m using XS in India.

My AirTag doesn’t allow me to add a message when I’ve tried putting into lost mode. I walk far away when testing so I can enable notifications, but am unable to set up lost mode with a message.
Fused AirTag hardly inside my Bosch GSA18v so it wont "walk away" and could be tracked down.

I just wish that you didn’t have to tap it, in case the air tag can’t be seen when you find the item right away.
Well actually you don't have to, if apple devices pass near it (ex: iPhone in a pocket), it will update the AirTag position and send notification to the owner

I have an iPhone 8 S plus, and I found an AirTag. It will not let me connect to it because it is associated to another Apple ID, and I cannot get my phone to connect to it, or get my NFC reader, to detect it even in find my app.

I found one in Roseville at a boat launch, didn't know what it was, tossed it on the bar and it would make a noise now and then, one day I got a letter explaining it and it was pinging at my house in the letter was a self addressed envelope and a number I call the guy and I sent it back, at first it freaked me out but, I know they work !!! As he lived in Shoreveiw

iCloud photos are no longer secure…
It isn’t some man behind the screen looking through all your photos, it’s AI looking at hashes (think of these as irreversible codes)
Help please I wanted to reset my laptop completely to sell it which also means deleting all data but I forgot to reinstall the software and now it keeps flashing the box and question mark. And when I tried to contact Apple Support it says that I need to put in my serial number but I cant because I no longer have access to my mac. Plz help I am crying.

My brother passed away last year & we were given his laptop & a AirTag that that the police gave us back from using as evidence. It’s a long story. But my problem is that I tried to see if there’s something attached to the AirTag & It did left behind his Apple ID/email address shown. I cannot able to remove the Apple ID so I need to figure out a way to claim the AirTag for myself.

Great question! If it’s in lost mode, the person that finds it gets a message. If not, they will hopefully turn it in to the police to be returned to the owner. If not, it’s not locked, and can be used.

An air tag was connected to my device while I was at a hotel Parking lot and tracked my location all night. No one with me had an air tag. Eventually it lost connection but it was scary at first.

Literally no one is going to see your photos, not even Apple, it is for criminals, if you aren’t one why are you worrying? unlike Google and many other services who just open up your whole library to the government to see, Apple will only get access to the reported CSAM images if you have some, not your whole library.
