@@xXmlgamingXx355 yes, but it was a pain in the ass sometimes (especially when you buy an MacBook Air which doesn’t have a touchbar) as soon as your Mac booted up it would automatically unlock.
That's the most useful thing since the invention of watches.

Unpair and reset many times still no free space 1.6gb is used by software in s3. Do u guys have any solution to update in series 3. Very frustrating better not to upload update for s3.

So what if we’re using an iPhone doesn’t have Face ID? Like the iPhone SE y’all released last year? I’d like to unlock my iPhone while wearing gloves, especially during winter
Dude this is just a solution now that everyone needs to use FACE MASKS so it's just for Face ID. There's no solution for Touch ID, but what's the point, if you can't unlock it with gloves you probably can't use it either because of the gloves and the touch screen, right?
They seriously need to make this feature usable for people who don’t want to use faceid. Allow the watch to lock/unlock your iPhone while the watch is unlocked on your wrist. Why hasn’t anyone requested this!?

Too bad my face id is broken because apple said it’s water resistance and I tried it for 5 mins on and off the water.🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ . Giving false advertisement. And I quote “ iphone is not water proof. But only water resistant “
*WATER RESISTANT* meaning: "Able to resist the penetration of water to some degree but not entirely." This is EXACTLY what it means. And it's officially stated that iPhones are just water resistant, NOT waterproof. And you're even saying it yourself.
Apple states CLEARLY that you're NOT supposed to do that. It's just resistant for accidents, if it drops accidentally and you quickly take it out, for splashes etc. Not for idi0ts who just dunk their phones for fun without getting properly informed and yet they facepalm the manufacturer.🤦🏼♀️ It's your own fault and only yours if you screwed your phone voluntarily.
Read APPLE's support page with the title *"About splash, water, and dust resistance of iPhone 7 and later".*
So how the heck did you understand that you could just dunk it underwater and for 5 minutes?? It's more than clear that you're NOT supposed to do that. "Too bad" you're the dmb one here, you probably didn't even read anything about it before trying that and now you're complaining. Deserved honestly.

Great question! This feature does require an iPhone that uses Face ID. As the iPhone SE uses Touch ID, this option would not be available.

I just wanted to ask what the reason is, for being dependent on wifi, to use this new feature? The watch is connected to the iphone via bluetooth anyway. And I normally have wifi disabled for my cellular transmission is much better....

The Apple Watch notification to Lock iPhone vanishes very quick and I don’t know how to get it again in case I wanna lock the phone? Is it hidden somewhere?

Why can’t I use my watch to unlock the iPhone without wearing a mask? I mean if half my face is covered, shouldn’t it do it without a mask?

where I live we have to wear masks in stores. If I can't use the watch/phone combo for purchases what's the point? Will be stuck with SE 2020.

That's one really useful feature these days, it does not work seamlessly every time tough.
I have an 8+ & a series 4. Tho I'm assuming the unlock w/ watch is pointless for me since the 8+ has touch id rather than face ID.
Now all that’s missing to make Apple Watch more elite than it is already is to add a swype keyboard. I’ve been most excited for that feature when I heard about it and it still hasn’t came out or any hints of it yet.
My question is, when I put on my apple watch and then I unlock my phone it’s supposed to say apple watch unlocked. for whatever reason for the past month, I have had to type in the password on my watch, it’s quite annoying. Any recommendations?

I don’t think this seemlessly works. I have latest apple watch version updates today and iPhone 11 pro 14.8 iOS… it doesn’t work at all… not even once…

I mean yeah you have to wear a mask but that's by far the best way to solve this problem for phones that only use face unlock
