I’ve been going CRAZY at home hearing the “moving with you” sound. My partner had no idea what I was talking about when I asked her if she’s heard the sound. Turns out, it’s the AirTags on my cat’s collar that is connected to her phone😅

This kind of sucks because it can alert a thief that you're tracking your item and they can just snatch it off and discard it. There should be a way to silence it.

This confirmed I have an airtag in my car. I use samsung and I've heard the moving with you sound repeatedly when I'm driving. I never knew what it was so I just called it spaceship noises.
That "unknown moving with you sound" at 0:24 plays at other times too, though. I get that when I start driving in my own car with the AirTag I put in there. It warbles a few times and then shuts up. Not good. Also, if someone steals my car, I don't want it warbling to let the scumbag know he's being tracked.

Helped me figure this sound out that my company vehicle had an air tag without notice. Just been hearing this sound while driving

I get the Find My App sound three times in a row randomly, but mostly when moving it after a while. Don't have an iPhone so it was set up by a friend who lives outside the set location range. I also get the same sound from my AirPods Pro 2. Any ideas?

This was actually pretty cool to know all of these. While most we won’t normally hear, it’s nice to know it’s pretty versitile. But speaking of AirTags, is there any way it can be changed amoung families? Such as Shared Car Keys, a travel bag or even something that is co-owned/used by more than one person? I have the AirTag on my car keys since I’m driving 90% of the time, but when my partner needs to drive, they get the notification all day about it travelling with them and constant notifications on their iPhone. Just like if you had a child and put an AirTag on a stuffed animal or school bag but wouldn’t assign to the child, but both parents and maybe shared with the child if they were old enough to understand. This is actually one of the reasons I haven’t gotten more AirTags.
Right now you can’t set up multiple accounts for a single airtag,. you would have to buy a separate one. to avoid the notifications i’m pretty sure there is a way to silence them. might wanna look it yp

I was hearing the unknown tag sound in my tags truck whenever I drive it, And had no idea what it was until I got a notification on my phone of an unknown tag that was tracking my location, This helps to figure out what it was, but I haven't been able to find the actual tag yet =(

If you find an AirTag after hearing it make a sound, you can use any device that has NFC, such as an iPhone or Android phone, to see if its owner marked it as lost and if you can help return it.”

My iPhone 11 Wide angle camera problem
I stayed in a single family home for 2 days and twice got the "unknown moving with you" (0:22) chirp. Each time it went on for about 30 seconds or so. The next closest houses were 40+ feet away and I was just sitting in the house. No Apple devices in the house besides my airtag. Would my tag chirp like this if someone's pet was airtagged and moving through the backyard?

My airpod pro 2s make a similar weird noise when I pick them up, they do the chirping sound randomly and it flashes green

If the sound occurs when you place the AirPods in your ears, this would be expected to notify you when the AirPods connect or disconnect from a device. As for the green indicator light, this is representing that the AirPods are fully charged.

Hello. If your AirTag is with you, it will not notify iPhone users nearby. If an AirTag is separated from its owner and is moving with someone over time, it will notify them. Check out the ‘Unwanted tracking’ section of this article: s.apple.com/dm4x4d5i4u
I get the “unknown AirTag moving around you” sound from my Airpods Pro 2 case few hours later I disconnect them from my phone and this happens every time 😂

What a shame it beeps when somebody has been with it for awhile because it could be the thief of your pedal bike I’ll have to look into silencing the beep
any way to turn the volume on the airtag UP? I cannot hear the very faint ping when it is inside my bag or on my dog's collar that often gets lost under dog toys, blankets, and pillows...

Found this very helpful: " Your Airtag and phone link to each other over Bluetooth. The device will begin to beep if your connection is lost. Keep the Bluetooth connection active at all times to avoid this problem.". My airtags were beeping randomly, and sure enough, bluetooth was turned off on my phone. I turned it back on and the beeping has stopped.

So how do you notify someone that you found their device? It only lists the last four digits of their phone number.

There isn’t a setting to have it make a sound, but you can set up separation alerts which will give you a notification on your iPhone if you leave the AirTag behind.

Hey guys Apple Suport. You need to explain better how find my actually works specifically for iPhones and even AirTags. Many people don’t know that the donor who will give the location passively need to have Bluetooth enabled to this can work. Plus I haven’t received yet any information if the Apple devices need to have the find my app installades and be signed in

My own AirTag will use the “moving with you” sound once or twice a week at random. It’s so annoying.
I sent my AirTags to my parents so we can track their luggage when they fly to see me. They have been complaining that the AirTags are noisy and disturbing their pets. Now I know why. 🤦🏻♀️

Is there a low battery sound? I heard it beeping at work and I changed the battery and it stopped

Your AirTags won’t emit a sound when the battery is low, but you can always check the charge of your AirTag battery in the Find My app. If you have notifications for Find My enabled, you’ll also get a banner notification when the battery is ready to be changed.

Okay but what if I want to use my Airtag as a tracking device in my car, and someone steals my car, then they're alerted to my airtag being in there so they find it and throw it out due to my Airtag altering them with it's sounds... It seems so stupid and I can't find a way to disable that... I want only ME to be able to track it...

Sound is so low in real life

Having the accurate find feature with the arrow and distance without the ultrawideband U1 chip would be really nice bcs not everybody has a high end iphone
How do you imagine that would work, exactly?? The feature needs the physical U1 chip. Your phone doesn’t just magically know where the AirTag is.
Well that’s not how it works since it unfortunately requires the ultrawideband for the precise location. What they could do is how closer you get to the AirTag with how strong the bluetooth signals are (like the hotter/colder game). But I’m not sure this is also possible since the AirTags is equipped with an efficient bluetooth tech and the signals comes from the U1 so it signals probably aren’t strong enough without the ultrawideband. I’m not sure about it but the most important problem to solve is give Android users a better app that only allowed to locate unknown AirTags at any time, unlike the one where you have to open and use it when your suspicious about someone following you
It’s needed for the precise locations that AirTag uses. The U1 chip isn’t just _there_ . It provides these features like precise finding.
