  • Crash Detection on your iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, Apple Watch SE (2nd generation), Apple Watch Series 8, and Apple Watch Ultra is designed to detect if you’ve been in a severe car crash in a passenger vehicle. And, if you’re unresponsive after the crash, it can alert emergency services and your emergency contacts for you.

    A few days ago I was in a car crash that nearly killed me, but I survived with minor bruises and stuff. Will spend a month at home recovering.
    I own an Apple Watch SE and iPhone 14 pro max. Both detected an accident. Watch started calling emergency services while I was out and people were dragging me out of my wrecked car. I didn’t respond to the call, just heard someone speaking on my wrist. Then they recalled and I answered on my phone confirming that I needed help.
    My iPhone has sent emergency messages to my contacts and they arrived at the place.
    Thank you Apple❤

      We can explain how Crash Detection works if you are not able to communicate.
      When a severe crash is detected, an alarm sounds and an alert is displayed.
      You can choose to call emergency services or dismiss the alert.
      If you do not respond to the alert, emergency services are automatically called.
      If you’ve added emergency contacts, a message to share your location is also sent to let them know you have been in a severe car crash.

      they could add it, but im afraid the current tech in those phones is inaccurate enough to trigger false alarms too often

    well what happens if you are skateboarding and you crash or fall?? will this thing get triggered?

    • @noxious_nights
      @noxious_nights Год назад

      Most likely not, unless you were going absurdly fast and ran into a brick wall.
      Skateboards typically cannot safely go at a speed that would produce high enough G-force to be recognized as a crash.
