I hope they make it possible to add our own background sounds or maybe a wide selection that we can add to our background sound library, I personally really love heavy thunderstorms and would really like that added

We need more sounds like wind gently blowing through trees, birds chirping, the ocean waves and rain falling on a clay roof (and be able to adjust the intensity of those raindrops) - I think that would be an amazing update
It feel like sounds hand phone 2d or 3d
That's what RUclips is for
As I have seen some ask, here is how you may add a stop feature on background sounds, say for sleeping.
First you will enter your Clock app.
Second click on timer on the bottom right of the screen.
Next set a timer for as long as you would like, with the idea that after this set time all apps that may be playing will cease there after.
Finally select the “When Timer Ends” button to select an action, and scroll to the very bottom and click on “Stop Playing”
This will allow you to play any music or, in this case, background noise with the knowledge that after your personal set time, these apps will stop and your phone may be locked and silent.

@@ahmedyosryd you need to turn on “stop sounds when locked”. So your device needs to stay on for as long as the timer is on or the sounds will stop early
Raining as background music really calms you down when feeling exhausted both mentally and physically, great job 👏
Find this feature great, used to use background noise when falling asleep. If this had a timer it would be perfect.

It has a timer. You should set a timer in the clock app and click "Stop playing", then you can play the sounds and it will turn off at the tme you have set.

This really helps when having headaches or migraines! Just turn on the dark noise and feel the relief

My newborn finds Stream extremely soothing. Lifesaving!
Now it would be nice if we can play audio from multiple media at the same time. background sounds can already work with other media so it would would nice to extend that capability to other media apps.
Why though? That would cause more harm than benefits

Cool! How about “Turn off Background sounds after … time” timer (for sleep purposes)?
Use the system timer with the "Stop Playing" option. I always use this option, which stops playback in any apps that don't have a timer.

idk if it's only me, but I personally feel like that the ocean sound doesn't sound like an ocean😂
Being able to adjust the consistency of Rain drops would be revolutionary for me!
Fixes the problem of each sentence missing its first word when playing through cheap bluetooth speakers by preventing the speaker from sleeping between sentences. An absolute godsend as the audio dropping out between each sentence was making my ears pop even at low volume.
I have a partner that snores a lot, and used to download white noise music and listen to it while sleeping, and I was using Android back then. Thank God I don’t have to do that anymore, now that this feature is on iPhone! Just great!
Need to add a little ruble of thunder to the rain sounds.

This is one of the best feature of Apple, & I have been using it on daily basis since 2 years… this helps to mask the disturbances from your surroundings & I look forward to using this in future as well... When I did the last iOS update, my photos were deleted (only my photos on the iCloud 5gb location remained and the ones on the device were deleted) I also had 2 gb of free space on my phone, what should I do now, can you please reply so that it won't be deleted?
