That was how I learned to mount truck tires when I worked evenings at a Skellys Truck Stop while in high school.
Last place I drove for was a sod farm and quarry. Put new tires on 4 trailers and three semi tractors in two days.
A trick I have used is to put a ratchet strap all the way around the tire and then crank it down to push the bead closer to the rim.
This was actually fun to watch.

Love the will it start and the truck videos, the transmission is a 9 speed range change thats what we call it here in Ireland and the UK, i drove one that was a 9 speed range change that also had a splitter many many times.
Truck idea!!!! Swap the motor from blue collar to the kw and vise versa then turn the truck into the sled pulling rig. Blow up the old motor and be ready with new one.

I would like to see you fix up the w900 somewhat, make it reliable and use it as a work truck.
You can always tell what a transmission is by how many forward gears it has In this case low counts as a forward gear so makes that a 9 speed
It's a 9 speed fuller if it was an 8LL or a15 speed roadranger it would have a deep reduction selector older trucks had the selector on the dash newer models were on the shifter like the thirteen & eighteen speeds the ones on the shifter were blue the ones on the dash looked like the fish wheel slide and inter axle selector!

We call that a 9speed. Had 2 valves one for each side. 8 bag was KW if set it rode great.
When I was kid in shop that is how we seated tires, other then put valve in line to send air after it blew.
White is enamel steering wheel.
Careful on your window tint. There are officers down there that know rules .

It is a 9 speed but can be converted to a 13 by adding the back box fairly easily.
Also might need additional cooling for the transmission but I could be wrong
I started driving semi trucks in 1983 and drove them for 15 years or so. Then I went on to become a full time minister. That truck looks like the kw 900 from my early driving days. I would like to slow down 3 -6 months take that truck apart and put it back together again to become a daily work truck.

It’s a nine speed transmission, my son is working on a old wrangler cabover yellow and blue true Dale Earnhardt. It has 350 Cummins with a 9 speed it has 114000 miles on the major overhaul

I’d say it’s an 8 speed, because you rarely use lo. Reverse always has a hi and lo. I love your videos regardless of the mikes not working. I’d love a truck like that, but it’ll take some money to put it on the road and I’m trying to rebuild the engine in my t660 right now.
This was just like watching old 8mm film from bygone days and the vid was still enjoyable and I watched it to the end. Starting fluid sales are booming year round, even in Florida.🤣
That dovetail trailer will be a nice addition to the fleet, easier access to tighter areas etc. A lot of rental ctrs use them for delivery of equip

9 speed , basically same pattern as 18 just no splitter.

I appreciate you posting even though it's not perfect. The shift pattern is for a 8 speed but you could call it a 9 speed. 8LL's have a splitter on the shifter (normally blue). Looking forward to seeing what's next.
Yeah the blue splitter is called deep reduction so a pretty much a crawler gear for going up and down really steep hills

As A TRAINED Fleet Mechanic for a major bread baking company for over 21 years and now retired I can tell you that airing a tire that way is FOOLISH AND DANGEROUS And if 1 of us mechanics had EVER been caught pulling a stunt like that we wouldve been fired on the spot THAT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS

Brake cleaner works good too, 84 I think was the first year for the B model square headlights, better turning radius than the A models.
It was actually 82 was the first B model. I’m not trying to be a know it all lol just letting you know.

The trans is a 8LL it's mostly used in construction you can drive it like a 9 nine speed when load
W9 with a B model was the truck to have back in the day.

It's an 8LL mainly used in trucks that stayed on flatland with very little hill's. The 8LL or later renamed 9 speed was the cheaper trans option too the ten speed

An 8 ll has a blue switch where your 18 has the gray one and has deep reduction hence the LL low low.

A lot of people call it an 8 speed because they see the number 8 as the highest gear but it also has lo gear which makes it a 9 speed. If you didn't count lo gear then a 13 speed would be called a 12 speed.
Man that sucks that the mic ruined your video. Atleast for me it did. Not complaining just really like this truck and I was waiting for this vid because I wanted to see you hounding on it/ ripping the jake because I know just how angry these old cats sound under these old girls. Really hope you keep this one. I think a very dark green (few shades darker than flat nasty) with some metal flake with black rims with chrome accents throughout would be very beautiful 😍
That trans is just a standard H pattern 8 speed. Depending on what trans is in it, you might could convert it to 13 speed. I'd have to know specifically the transmission bolted in it.
You should put the alcoas that are on the kw on the cab over
