    Bruce do not forget to put a strip of rubber between the aluminum headache rack where it mounts to the frame rails. It's a must!!
    I also sent you a few emails a couple weeks ago on information getting factory
    A/C on your cab-over.

    • @davidkeeton6716
      @davidkeeton6716 Год назад

      I sold Merritt headache racks for 31 years and neither the head board or the installation kit ever came with or mentioned any rubber to go between the aluminum and the frame rails. I've seen people put wood between but never rubber. I guess you could put fuel tank strap insulation there, but why?

      Normal to use the synflex air line for fuel lines freightliner has been doing it for years paccar uses it now as well. I would highly suggest to not use the push lock fittings there not rated for fuel also I would highly suggest putting shut off valves on both tanks at feed and cross over lines so they can be shut off especially if you plan on taking the truck off road

    It's been a long time since I saw anyone getting excited about a WH. I've sold many a parts for those. Volvo partsman from 88-2020. I knew a guy that had a left front tire go boom one day. The fiberglass headlight panel and most of the floor under his feet disappeared in an instant. All the way from the door to the dog house. He barely had a scratch. Just drew his feet up and eased off to the side of the interstate. He was amazed that the front brake air line for that wheel survived.

      Without any words, that truck has a Spicer/TTC PSO transmission that International also used. When they’re good, it’s good. When it gives trouble, you better have a big damn wallet. The shift knob will cost almost $1000 if it’s bad, and the spaghetti line size does not interchange with Fuller. To compound on that, you can’t just slip in a Fuller transmission because the shift tops have a totally different bolt pattern etc.
      The PTO for the intended wet kit can be used on some Fuller transmissions, not all, and the output ratio of the PTO changes vs TTC/Spicer.
