- New numbers released by Gov. Gavin Newsom's Office and the CHP on Wednesday shows a marked increase in arrests, recovered stolen vehicles and guns seized in Oakland and the East Bay during continuous law enforcement operations over the last three months.

@@weAreNotAloneHere The cops aren't in charge of prosecuting criminals. That's the responsibility of the county DA. Unfortunately, the DA is Price. She's the one who lets the perps go, so she's the reason why crime is like this.
Arrest is like asking for an autograph from your favorite criminal.
Its booking, photograph, fingerprints...did you prefer they not get booked first and just be served a notice to appear in court?
Arrests mean nothing.
Show us the conviction rate.
Show us the amount of felony charges that were reduced to misdemeanors.
Show us the response times to crimes in progress.
Should show us why it took YEARS to do this??
I was carjacked on may 10th at gun point. Arrest was made. Was on video. Cop texts me and says it’s alameda county don’t get your hopes up. “He won’t serve significant time “.

Oakland PD should merge under the state police. What makes OPD ineffective is the politicians and ambulance chaser (lawyers) that prevent the cops to do work effectively. Under state police, they will get work done and not have to deal with the BS.

"Arrest" means absolutely nothing at all in California. It means the cops took your picture and told you to not do it again.
Damn, these criminals are looking at hours in jail. That should deter them.
None of this matters unless there is actual imprisonments with convictions that are long term sentences over 10 years.
What I would like to know is, out of those 355 "suspects" arrested; how many of them were actually charged and how many are still in custody?.

All Boudin was interested in was bringing trumped up charges against SFPD any chance he got.
@@dkbestbuds Useless DA Pamela Price runs the Alameda County DA office, not Boudin. Chess Boudin ran the DA office in San Francisco - a different county but was just as awful as Price. We kicked out Boudin, and hopefully Alameda County will be smart enough to vote out Pamela Price too.

@@dkbestbuds Except that wasn't the case, Boudin was charging SFPD on nonsense. He then sat on evidence he knew to be exculpatory until one of his staff inadvertently revealed it. Boudin then fired him for the "crime" of obeying the law.
