I wonder why, after performing a perfect pit, the police always leave a gap front and rear. So often the target car escapes for another hour of high speed chasing. Why don't the police immediately completely box the suspect car in so it can't move? I know they may be armed, but a couple of yards gap isn't going to make it any safer.

Everyone is praising the PIT maneuver, but I’m also impressed by the police car’s grip around that corner just before the PIT. By the time the perps realized it, it was too late to accelerate away. Good driving skills by the officer!

I give this police department applause for not tackling, assaulting or over reacting during the arrest. They calmly arrest both and walk them to the cruiser. Bravo! That is professionalism.

A while ago, someone got away from a 2 hour high-speed pursuit in a pick up he hit the side walk in to the front of an elementary got off helicopter news live watching one man wearing construction boots just jump front fence inside the school were the entire hallways had covers and he never got caught either it was at night and their were a bunch of condos and apartments all in the area easy for him to hide since he probably either live in the area or new someone but that was a real good idea for that person that night made it home for his steak dinner too. Lol

i want to give a bravo to both the PD dispatchers who initiated the pursuit and the chp dispatcher that handled this stressful pursuit. getting units in positions and air units in position and documenting the whole pursuit for almost an hour is no joke. Unfortunately police dispatchers don't get enough credit, but I want to be the one to point them out and say thank you for your service.
Whoever had the idea of initiating a pursuit on a busy road is an idiot. Is it really worth risking that innocent bystanders get killed in an accident, just for the sake of catching some small scale criminal? How do you explain a couple of children that they just lost their parents, because either the suspect's or maybe even a cop's car smashed into their car? Is it really worth wasting thousands of dollars and man power on an idiot, you could've just picked up the next day?

I am very surprised about this chase, as I was burglarized on 08/12/23 at Ocean Beach, San Francisco, and when I showed the officer where burglar tried to use my stolen card (real time notification), he answered to me that they are not allowed any longer to undertake chasing.

Because they didn't do anything criminal. failure to stop Is A misdemeanor, speeding, failure signal, and reckless driving are traffic violations, and it said in the video they were only suspects they didn't actually get caught stealing anything. so we can only hope if there's any decent bit of Justice in our Justice system that they would get released, hopefully the same day, not even have to go to jail.

thank Providence for all those green lights , too. though the perp did blow through a couple red lights. there should be a means by which traffic control can intercede during a chase in progress such as rendering all intersections with flashing red lights? which at least ,stacks the traffic flow , impeding anymore fleeing drivers endangering populace , and aiding the pursuing PD units.
