ATTENTION: Your belt might have a tight tolerance. You will not be able to slide the belt onto the ‘harmonic balancer’ last. You will slide it onto each accessory and slip it LAST onto the tensioner pulley. This pulley has no lip and will slip on with relative ease. Done ✅

Thank you guys at 1A Auto Parts for these great How-to Vids! I have replaced on my 2010 Nissan Altima 2.5 S the Catalytic Converter Assembly (Bank 1 and Bank 2), all of 4 Motor Mounts, Spark Plugs, Bank 2 02 Sensor, Brake Pads and Rotors all around, Serpentine Belt 😜, PCV Valve, and a Transmission Flush! I used your videos for all to make sure I was doing the job the right way! And yes I got most of the parts from 1A Auto and I really love my new TRQ Drilled and Slotted Rotors and Ceramic Pads! I found that by placing the belt on A/C last instead of the Harmonica Balancer, it was WAY easier. The HB has the belt seated farther back and much harder to get to last.
Alex thanks just changed belt on daughters Altima and could not get in on the harmonic balancer. I then put it on the balancer first like you said and it went right on around the AC compressor. Thanks for the tip.
Hey that's the real way, I saw you comment late, it took like 2 hours, if I saw you comment early maybe it will take 1 hour.

Great video, very thorough. I agree with the previous comment that sometimes the new belt is too tight to slide it over the crank pulley last so you will need to slide it over the tensioner last.

Wow! I've never seen such a clean wheel well! Musta pressure washed it and put a shiny new rotor on too!
One thing I liked about my 90's Buick Riviera was how easy it was to replace the serpentine belt from the top.
These guys use so many special tools that they don’t need to in their videos. it runs people off from buying parts from them or working on their vehicle by themselves
The one thing I don't understand about your videos is why there's no cussing and swearing at the car in them!!lol💯🤣😭😂🤩😁

Ngl this was still pretty challenging. I wouldn't say hard cause it's a simple thing but getting it on there Maan. I was so ready to do it tomorrow and kept pressing and when it finally slipped on. I wasn't even relieved more like confused as why I did the same thing 20+ times and this was the time it worked.

Is this the only belt on Altimas?
My car is making a squealing noise & I want to see if it's this belt or if there are more.

the EPS altima will use 6pk1430
Go to the auto parts store, tell them what you need. They'll figure it out!
Do the tensioner last. It will save you time.

Tensioner different.
Mines to tight is there anyway the auto zone people gave me the wrong belt or is it to cold?
Tried replacing one today on an 08 Altima. Couldn't get the belt on. Turned the tensioner as far as it would go.
I’m having the same issue, changed the alternator took it to a remanufacturer and had it redone put it in but now the belt won’t fit went and bought another belt they’re the exact same size and new one won’t fit either
1: you bought the wrong belt.
2: slip the belt on to every pulley and press it over the tensioner pulley last. Mine also wouldn’t seat using his exact method. The lip on the balancer is too wide even with the tensioner pulled to its end. So the tensioner has no lip; so it can slip on last and done ✅
How did you end up fixing it? That’s what’s happening to me
This looks like a V6 (the slotted drilled rotor of an SE-R). Are the V6 and I4 the same?

Remake this video showing the belt going on the tensioner pulley last. (As many have said here.) I just lost 2 hours of my life because of this video. Watched a different video showing tensioner last and got it first try.
I work in a repair shop and we never torque the wheels with a torque wrench we just torque them in a cross pattern with the impact wrench
