Being a person who does this for living, I can honestly say that watching this has been like watching a horror movie! This belt, even with the new pretty red webbing will not save him if he is in a crash.
This belt has not been re-webbed in a safe manner and is still very dangerous.

Thanks for watching & you concern about safety. Please mention the factor or weak points you consider it dangerous? I would also want to explore any weak point not consider by me !

Keep in mind in some countries they drive a lot slower than western countries and a lot less deaths from automobiles.

@@working2bselfsufficient724 Can you guarantee that at any given time when an accident could happen that the vehicle will be travelling at less than 10 KPM. You can’t. The stitching in a seat belt needs to pass a stretch test of more than 14.75 kilo newtons strain.
The stitching in the above video won’t and the glue and masking tape will do nothing to help save the victims life.
Honestly PLEASE do not repair a seat belt as shown in this video. The stitching WILL NOT save you in a crash!

@@edwardwarrington1809 I didn't promote it, I just commented on posters comments about different factors to consider. Alot of countries drive very slow compared to western developed countries. Some drive so slow doubt even seat belt is needed.😂 For $70 and sending out my old seat belt to a shop is a much better option if depending on the seat belts working properly.

If the only issue is the stitching then can't you take it to get it sewn by someone with a professional heavy-duty sewing machine (as he mentioned), using the manufacturers supplied thread? 🤷‍♂

Totally illegal to do this in Australia and I would think most countries as it would not pass the standards in place.
This is a dangerous thing to do, what he has done is prone to fail in an accident.

Actually this stitching type & location do not comes with direct force. The end of corner of this belt bears indirect force, there for you can stitched by yourself. Make sure you are using a good waxed thread & stitching should be all around by making rectangular box & also stitched diagonally into this rectangular box. Apply some rubber based glue after stitching that make threads intact.

Oh man, you don't seem to have the slightest idea of the safety compromise you have done. A seatbelt might save a life only once, there's no 2nd chance if the seatbelt didn't work. However, the only thing I liked in your video is your wrist watch.
