These lockers are no good my rustler has been making the center shaft still rotate.even with righting the screw dwn as far as I can and it stills happens
Hey man question, how did that locker turn out for you? Does your car track straight? How it’s it with doughnuts? have a hot racing differential, sealed with 500k fluid in the stock transmission but it still doesn’t really keep that one tire fire from happening!
@@RCKnockout I had it in there for almost a year, I just switched to a locked diff because I kept stripping diff gears. But I'm sure if you had thicker guild it would last even longer
@@keaginm2791 bit late but went other way for me, i had 100k and kept blowing the diff, moved to 30k and it lasts longer, prolly cause theres more strain if its distributing the grip
It’s weird that the drag slash isn’t locked from the factory. I had a Losi 22s drag truck and it was either locked or it was super stiff with oil and had very very little slip
@@drewncars9505 mines not actually a drag slash from factory…I built it from scratch…and it has a stock slash transmission…that’s why I ended up using a locker spool
@ that makes sense! After this video I looked into the 272r transmission on an actual drag slash and saw that it has an entirely different diff. Still not locked but is sealed and has 500k diff fluid in it
@@RCKnockout I’m just getting started in looking into upgrading my slash now. Our local track is unfortunately closing soon and I used to run it in a spec slash series so I kept it stock. Nice, I bouth the same diff lock. Just installed it on my slash drag this morning. Getting ready to go out and test in a few hours.

Also i left pins and grease in it and jammed the locker in. My Shaluoman brand spool fit with no resistance. Strange others dont fit
You were able to put the pins through the holes?
272R for the win. Fluid is LITERALLY how you tune the diff. 500k diff fluid works.
Thanks for the tip! 👍😉

Hey so would you recommend this for just the slash off-road 2wd truck ?
Yeah I’d only put this in a Slash 2wd
This also works for the Bandit, 2WD Rustler and 2WD Stampede.
Man I got one of those lockers and the shaft didnt fit the bearings. Anyone have an issue with that? Pins worked with mine..
Do you have to put the gears back into the diff
No you don’t put the gears back in

It would probably lock it up
