I see a lot of people saying this is overpriced or Traxxas it’s price gouging. While I agree it’s very expensive and maybe they are overcharging, without knowing all the costs from the beginning of development to it being on store shelves, I think it’s a little unfair to assume it’s unreasonably priced. The stock axles fit just fine. I even have the slash 4x4 rear axles which are bigger than stock and they fit with no issue. If you want to go even bigger yet, I'd suggest getting the rustler 4x4 rear driveshafts (part number 6852A) as these are long enough to work with the rear arms of the rustler, stampede, and slash. The drag slash axles are short b/c they're made to work with the bandit rear arms.
I noticed the new Rustler 2wd vxl has this trans in it should i get it or get the older model with the old trans? The prices between the 2 rustlers are only $55 🤷🏻♂️

I would just buy a the rustler brushed version for like 180 and take the transition out of it and stick it in my vxl and keep the rest the brushed rustler for spare parts or piece it out and sell them
The stock diff was the weak link! The planetary gears are garbage! When I pulled the trigger the proline pro 32 was only option! I paid 120.00 haven’t broken it in over 2 years! I was replacing diffs every outing on 3s and 4s! Mip axles and large tires just destroy them stock gears. One would think Traxxas would be a little closer to proline pricing. Remove the 4 screws holding the rear assembly to the chassis and pull the rear off. Next, pull out the slipper clutch or center diff. Slide the center driveshaft out and reassemble in reverse order. Note: if you have a center diff, fill it with the thickest silicone oil you can find or replace it with a slipper clutch.
Will it fit the Raptor?
Yes. Mechanically, it's identical to the slash.
Good brother 🙏
I would just buy a the rustler brushed version for like 180 and take the transition out of it and stick it in my vxl and keep the rest the brushed rustler for spare parts or piece it out and sell them
That might be good for my racing stampede
On asphalt.

What 140$ no way
The stock diff was the weak link! Crazy the slipper looks same too? You would at least think that would have changed!
Any pin breaks use old drill bit
Or Traxxas part number 9494, that way you don't have to destroy your tools
This is cool cuz i can upgrade my stampede and run it on 3s 😂
This would have been cool when I had my 2wd models but the hot racing trans build was enough
And if you're not wealthy & do a little bit more labor you can purchase seal diffs for the 272 transmission I think that's what the transmission is called it's 3:00 in the morning so I'm trying and I think they were $30 bucks when I purchase them for my truck... Probably works ALMOST as good as the new $140 transmission at 1/4 the cost, just trying 2 help someone else that is poor like me🤦🏻
Well I only see one problem with this and people are going to be putting it on there two-wheel drive stock slash for racing and then they are going to block it
Want it. Don't care if i need it
Ouch that is pricey.
Nice
To be honest it is so over priced, the old one works fine if you set the slipper clutch right.
TRUTH!
They should sell the diff on its own, because it really doesn't work fine.
@@ventisette. It does for me. I've got 200k diff fluid in it and I'm also running 2.8 paddle tires, haven't had any problems.
too much money, last year for around $45 i bought a regular 272r tranny pulled from a new vxl for my old xl5 slash, my not be as good as the pro but it wasn't $130......
Rpm trans and hot racing sealed diff. Get to use optional suspension blocks and tune rear toe to your liking. Way less money
❤❤❤💕💖💝💛
Half the price of a 2wd slash... Yeah, what are they even thinking... Terrible pricing.
I was about to ask does this for the bandit.... and then you said it lol.
Ta-da! LOL 😂
I wouldn't buildca drag
No mine doesn't need that not for $80 dollers
Dude the traxxas vxl vehicles come with this part from the factory. Take this lame video off.
Dude, look at the date of the video. It was made when this part came out and WAS NOT available in cars at that time. And there are still tons of old Traxxas cars out there there that don’t have the part. Only lame thing here is your comment.
Yes this transmission is definitely an upgrade 💯%, I like the seal diff I actually purchase sealed diff's for mine already but I like how it can be dropped out of the bottom and the metal motor plate rather than the composite... $140 little steep tho. If it was $85 I'd do it.. thanks Joe Biden 🖕🏼
Serve na T-max traxxas 1/10
These are extremely defective
Why, why! Is everything from traxxas f@$king grey 😂😂😂😂 its annoying sometimes
Get spray paint then 🤣
@@kylebeach2316 I like to use Rit fabric dye for the gray plastic parts. I tried spray painting my parts before and regretted it. In my opinion, dying the parts is easier than painting and more durable since the dye does not scrape off as easily.
Horrible and horrendous!
Cool but sketchy when you purchased the vxl motor and it got shot 6 months later .. $160 there then this transmission is another $170 you are knocking on $300+ cmon traxxas
Well that was less then informative. Maybe tyco reviews?
As with any breakup, it’s not me, it’s you.
