Im watching this after nearly 10 years of not practicing origami. The nostalgia is killing me. I remember when this was super difficult to my 10 year old self and how determined I was to complete this. I persisted and and was finally able to pull through.
Easy magic ball Step 1. Get a 1:2 paper or a4 paperStep 2. Crumple it up into a ballStep 3. To play, keep opening it and crumpling it. So Magic Much Ball
Well, after 20 frustrating minutes of screaming at the paper for not folding where it should, I went back and folded the paper 16 times length wise instead of 8 as you said in the video. After that it was a breeze. Thanks for the excellent video!
You are a genius....origami takes a lot of discipline, patience and perseverance. I admire people like that. I hope I can practice enough to make it as good as what you have done here. Your passion for this art is something that young people do not care about. It takes lots of practice and ingenuity on your part, and to share your knowledge here shows what a generous person you are.....please ignore those stupid people's remarks. I love it, please keep it up. :))))
This is the easiest way, but in no means quick. Took me about 4 hours to complete it the first time. I recommend going over the water bomb bases with a tooth pick to fix the ones that didn't collapse perfectly - before taping it.
the waterbomb is just 2 diagonal valley folds (use a square paper), then a mountain fold across the middle, then collapse it in like shown (since it wasn't really explained about in the video)
actually the waterbombs are EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! I made one in 2 minutes!
waterbombs are one of the easiest kinds of folds in origami. you make two diagonal valley folds and a horizontal mountain fold. after that just push the centers in and flatten.
Thanks for the video. It was very helpful. I have made two. My problem comes when I tape the ends together. The tape does not crease well and both models bulge out on that side. I used Scotch brand and tried to sharpen the creases after taping. What am I doing wrong?
1)You fold the paper in half. 2)Turn the paper over. 3)Fold diagonally in either direction. 4)Same step as number 3 but the opposite direction. 5)Take the paper and pull the halfway point in. Hope that helped ^w^
easy people simple folds but hard to understand vocabulary ex:valley fold mountain fold he should just say fold up or down like this comment if you agree
This is really awesome. :D I can't wait to make it, i don't have paper that's 20x40cm, so i'm gonna get some. I like the music that plays too. Although, I've never heard of an Origami that uses tape. :)
Well maybe the original took WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY longer! Maybe this one compared to the original is super short. Besides, you will probably mess up all the time if you don't take your time. I think this videos awesome! Besides the pretty music made it feel like a few seconds.
Umm,I'm not trying to be brave,I just don't have a that big paper...So,I made it two times smaller, does that mean two times less folded sides?Should I make 16 instead of 32?Help.
I I have 62 years old and about when I was 16 I folded the origamic ball and other modular designs without having learned from any book, because at that time origami books were practically nonexistent in Venezuela and did not explain modular origami. It is quite possible that it was invented, so I respectfully ask, if you know the exact origin of the papiroflexic ball. Thanks you
I always make Origami's for My friends and family for their Birthday or for Christmas or for Easter or Halloween or Thanks Giving or... You can just say i make them for everyone for every Holiday and Birthday. :3
terence placidus, you can by folding A4 in half longways, and folding in the edge horizontally and cutting that fourth off so you have 3/4 of the original A4 paper

Oh yeah fuckin spot on homie. Countless hours spent sitting there folding, just to crumple it up and throw it away.
I had the exact same experience hahahaha good times

Thanks, yours was honestly the easiest for me to understand compared to other tutorials!
I love how there are quotations around “quick” in the title 😂
Fuck it, I'm done, I spent 5 fucking hours making this. And wasting 30 pieces of paper, but still a good tutorial
Loominarty Confirmed Same here ;_;
I think you are lying!
shilpi rahman I was exaggerating, I actually spent one hour
I hate it when people complain about simple tutorials on the Internet.
Oh this is simple. It's just a pain in the ASS to make

+Hai Nguyen You can try Jo Nakashima's tutorial.. He has an even faster method ^^

"These directional folds we can make "genderless" by refolding in the opposite direction."
Or, you know, you could just fucking flip it over
Pat Letts of you just flip a mountain fold you’d get a valley fold not a genderless one
It's not Origami if you tape it...
stop saying that
Too late...?
Well, I mean, there _was_ a warning.
Okay.

he explains what they are at the beginning
Pascal Andreas he explains it but it does get annoying
No it doesn't, it make more sense
tito capotito Do you not know what mountains and valleys are?
tito capotito noob lol
so basically you can use any rectangle paper??? or you have to have a rectangle that has measurements.
Thanks for the update! I am going to try it then. Did you use the same amount of folds as the video shows?
*_This is really entertaining and helpful at the same time!_*

Is there a version without tape?(I'm still gonna do this one because without tape it would probably be really hard, i just wanna know just in case.)
I like the sneaky concealing of a broken ball at the end there. ;)

How do u make the diagonal folds wen using an a4 paper??

This is really awesome. :D I can't wait to make it, i don't have paper that's 20x40cm, so i'm gonna get some. I like the music that plays too. Although, I've never heard of an Origami that uses tape. :)
How did it come out? I want to try with standard 8/11 as well.
Does this work with standard size paper, or must the size be a 1:2 ratio exactly?
not sure y, in the end is hard to combine,,, is there any easier way to connect?
Please let me know what GSM paper is good?
Not confusing - just the transformation of something 2D into 3D and the intense process I guess. I might try it - one day :)
does the paper have to be rectangle?
Well maybe the original took WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY longer! Maybe this one compared to the original is super short. Besides, you will probably mess up all the time if you don't take your time. I think this videos awesome! Besides the pretty music made it feel like a few seconds.
once again a great tutorial, thanks for all the hard labout.
is there an easier way to do it with out so many folds?
Umm,I'm not trying to be brave,I just don't have a that big paper...So,I made it two times smaller, does that mean two times less folded sides?Should I make 16 instead of 32?Help.
How do u get that paper mine is 9"x11"

Tell us how to do the waterbomb thing in detail because I just scrunched it up and binned it.
Can you use a plain sheet of copy paper
I I have 62 years old and about when I was 16 I folded the origamic ball and other modular designs without having learned from any book, because at that time origami books were practically nonexistent in Venezuela and did not explain modular origami.

terence placidus, you can by folding A4 in half longways, and folding in the edge horizontally and cutting that fourth off so you have 3/4 of the original A4 paper
