Why I Left New York City

About a year ago, I moved to New York City and while there are some great qualities about the city, in many other ways the city will drain you. So just over a year later, I decided to move out of the city and in this video I talk about the reasons why I did so.

Moving out alone in NYC is a character development experience, but there are really no cultural hubs there anymore. You’re almost better off just living somewhere else and going to Paris for a few weeks a year to hang out. That’d be cheaper and much more fun.

I've lived from over 5 Years in NYC and I'm also considering leaving.
I would add another reason to move out: The weather sucks! It's either very cold, very hot or glummy. Nice days are very very rare.
If you have no money don't matter if there's a ton of things to do cs you won't be able to experience them anyway. some cities are good to visit but not to live. NYC is one of them.

Reasons to move to a big city are simple. Restaurants, bars, museums, sex, theatre and cinemas. Everything else is shit

Chicago is way cleaner than NYC and Illinois has a flat income tax :)
