I really admire your skills in cinematography. It gets exhausting seeing so much flashiness and noise everywhere on RUclips. Finally a place I can sit back and admire the art form of building a PC. Good work. Thanks for this Matt
@@Mr_Matt_Lee This for sure. I am pretty sold on either this fractal build or his previous fractal build. But I am also tempted with the XL case for more flexibility for future components in case component upgrades are larger. Thank you.

the look of that case made me nearly puke id gie that shit to my grandmother who needs a stove replacement. Whoever calls this good looking in anyway has boring taste.
never heard of you channel but watched mainly the north builds and along with great visuals. I wanna give my biggest compliments on your music choices. They're not cheesy youtuber pop songs (except maybe for that last song in this video...) But the atmospheric chill downtempo vibes is immaculate and reminds me of Haircuts for Men or other slowed jazz music
I have the same case and appreciated seeing the way you cable managed it with extensions. Thanks for the extra detail! Have learnt something new! Great video as usual.
i have the same case and i just built my pc, its a little loud tho so i was going to buy more fans (i only have the 2 stock ones) how many do you have and where? ty
@@fico1557 hi mate I have two 140mm on the front intaking through a radiator (AIO) and a 120mm exhaust on the back. It’s working well for me. I think the right setup really depends on how power-hungry your CPU and GPU are.
@@rahulk2145 thats interesting, thank you, i have an air cooled cpu (Ryzen 7600) but the cpu fan gets pretty loud at max load and the temps reach up to 70°C so im looking at solutions now, the cooler is a be quiet 2 or something, have a nice day and thank you for the info!
I just stumbled upon this channel, and i am fascinated by the videos. I really appreciate the calm style of the footage combined with matching, soothing music and how beautifully every detail is presented. Keep up the great work.
Haven't been around in pc building hobby, but if I return someday (with enough money to build newer PC), I would go for this case Fractal North caught my eye lately, it's just look so timeless. Also love your videos, they're pleasing to watch!
Your Noctua Keyboard Cable is top notch as addition to aesthetic bit of taste. Looks awesome. I just have a feeling that Noctua CPU cooler is a bit too big for this case. An AIO would looks imho better, however understand your point of view! Whole presence and cinematography like always PERFECT! I have found your channel recently and after first video immediately subscribed to it. I have never done so fast subscription to any tech channel, only to artists! That means your a truly the best Artist on the Tech RUclips! Keep it up, I would like to see more builds, would be interesting to see same case with different solutions for example AIO vs Air Cooling with your Art vision!
Another master piece Matt....my favorite Noctua fans and aircooler....wasnt sure at the begining if the D15 will fit, becouse the case dosent seams so wide...but its perfect. And wobeling CPU boxes, flying bolts......love the bonuses...you put me in the credits for the coffee....so i have to buy you one🤭🤭🤭
This PC is really nice and I really like your choice of components. I have the Fractal Design North in black and also installed an i7-14700K. In my case, the CPU is cooled by a Noctua NH-U12A and my graphics card is a GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition. My motherboard is an ASUS ProArt Z790-Creator WiFi and I also have 64GB RAM with 6800MHz from Corsair. I wanted to go for black/red for the build and the plan worked out perfectly. Great entertaining video. The bonus clip was funny and entertaining as always. Best wishes from Germany. The text was translated by Google.
@Mr Matt Lee-The North XL is one of the nicest-looking Fractel cases they offer. I wish Fractel had put more effort into their larger cases. This may be a sign of things to come.
This case is the GOAT. Have a Pop Air now, but next build is North no question! Gonna go black with either Founders or ProArt GPU, not sure about CPU cooler yet, always have gone with air, but fancy mixing it up with an AIO this time 🤔
Hey Matt, hope you see this comment. What do you think about adding a second fan up top, in the front slot, to serve as an intake? Noctua released a graphic showing the ideal fan setup for the North, and that was the configuration. I know it goes against conventional wisdom that an intake fan up top could cause some turbulence with the front intake fans, but it is Noctua that recommended it after all
Love it, fabulous build. Only thing I would have changed is adding a white contact frame to get those final few degrees down on air cooling. Otherwise fantastic work!
I have used Noctua since I can remember and chromax is my favorite, but I have to admit, the Noctua's brown looks darn very sharp, I really like the looks, I'm reluctant to change from chromax to black and just leave my GPU black. Thanks
Great video! Question - did you have to do anything special to get this case/ram/cooler combo to work? I’m looking at the same combo, just looking at the dimensions it looks like it doesn’t quite fit?
I basically have the same build inspired by you. I just used a Corsair 850W PSU, an ASUS B650E-F ROG STRIX Mainboard and Ryzen 7800X3D (and NH-DH Gen2). Also Black Mainboards will look nice, because the interior of the case is anthrazit coloured.
Lovely build, yet again. Any reason why you choose fans that are designed for static pressure over say the NF-S12A that are air optimised? Just asking ;)
Nice build! I love the Fractal North, thinking of swapping my Lian Li Lancool ii mesh with this one. Although I personnaly will never go with the classic Noctua coloured fans.
I love the idea of Noctua fan colourings and style of Fractal North. I was looking at a PA602 Case given it has all the bonus fans etc, and then putting 3 more fans ontop in favour of AIO, but I don't know if the 60L space can be justified. What would you say?
The big problem of the Fractal North is that you can't install a 280mm AiO on the top (only a 240mm) and when using a long graphics card like this, you can't put the AiO to the front neither. All they needed to do is making the case a couple of centimeters longer to allow installation of a 280mm AiO on top and this case would've been much more versatile. I had to switch from the normal Fractal North to the XL version just because of this. If you want to use an AiO or are planning to do that in the future, I would recommend to avoid the normal Fractal North and directly go with the XL version instead.
Great video! I've been eyeing this case for a little bit now and wanted to upgrade to it. Does this case support a 360mm AIO cooler? Was also going to upgrade to the Arctic Liquid Cooler III and I wanted it to go with the case
Oh WOW what a stunning build and verry good choice of music .. can you tell me what is the space between the glass and the cooler fans cause i was checking for the new noctua cooler noctua g2 and it got 3 mm longer thk you MR ML
Those can be tricky to remove and they're not great to look at. I modded the drive bays in my R4 because that thing was crazy bad for transferring vibrations, the fans themselves were never a problem (although I had one with a fan blade that was compromised during shipping and snapped off).
Hi! Your videos are always great! I have one question please. Does the NH-D15 fit well inside Fractal North midi tower or i need to go for XL version? Thanks in Advance.
White builds are not usually my choice, but this one is really cool. @Mr_Matt_Lee I'm not into AIO, love to see this Noctua air cooling combo. Are the Fractal North + NH-D15 + Chroma fans enough to keep the i7 14700 and the RTX 4080 at reasonable temp? Keep up the superb work!
