Air going out of the bottom of the case is a very nice touch ... I see many examples of air being pulled in and in my use case, the carpet and bare floor under the PC is likely the dirtiest place in the room. I'd much rather discharge from the bottom as opposed to intake.
Don't need 1000 dollars in noctua fans. Just get lower tdp/cooler running parts and tune fans or undervolt. Use techpowerup gpu reviews to compare noise and fan speeds on air cards.
The Fractal North XL works fine. I am working on a build with all Noctua except with threadripper instead. It’s got the largest threadripper cpu cooler with 140mm fans. You’ll be fine with the gaming version!
@@vita-girl4345 Yea. I would probably go with something like this, with wood accents to match the "brown" from the noctua.. I liking the Antec Flux Pro these days too for the airflow, no lights and the little wood accents.. Good luck in your build.. Much like the video, that's another epic machine you're working on.
I love that you all include a blooper reel. The videos are already clearly very high quality, well shot and coordinated. The bloopers show just how difficult it is to get to that level of quality.
Just wanted to say, I really like your videos and how you present these builds. In a sea of computer tech channels it's really hard to stand out but I think you've nailed this formula extremely well and I always click to watch. It's very relaxing and the color combos and scene changes are always on point. I can only imagine the effort that goes into making these. I hope you continue to craft and further refine your style here as I think you really have a unique style and I definitely appreciate the whole experience any time I watch a new build. +1 sub from me!
I can definitely tell this is my dream pc no cap.. been fan of noctua products and cooperations with different brands for sometime and seeing such a build like this.. damn..
Just got the 502 for Christmas! Couldn't be happier! You've used it in about 3 builds if I'm correct? Great ideas lead to Christmas lists, lead to Christmas gifts! Thanks Matt. Well done, as per our usually arrangement!
excellent directing and videography for a pc build video! ngl the seasonic prime tx-1600 noctua edition is a work of art (hard to imagine that I'm describing a psu like this lol).
Another superb build, those Noctua coolers are great but they can be beasts in size too as you found out, love the cut scenes in the end we are only humans :) Keep up the good work
Great build as allways Matt. Im a huuuuugggeeee fun of Noctua and any Noctua build is mind blowing for me. I never bought any other fan except Noctuas. Love the RAMs never seen them before but i like them. Thank you again Matt for making us happy❤
Yet another fantastic video Mr Matt Lee! I recently found your channel and your presentation and production values are amazing! Keep up the great work!
hello matt. i also make quiet builds. what is definitely not quiet is restricting airflow to the gpu. keeping it horizontal and ventilating it from the bottom reduces temps by 5°C and more. thus reducing fan noise by the gpu. for high end cpus, aios are quieter for all i've experienced. cheers
I swear - I built my PC 5 or 6 years ago with silence in mind but also wanting to not spend a lot of money. It is still performing awesome and whenever we have a LAN party its still one of the quietest. I just love it and I'm very afraid to not pull it off again. xD
Still learning about building PCs, but man love watching these videos! One day, once I can afford one, I'll build a good one for myself 🙏 probably something quiet like this too
Just built a very similar PC inside of a no-name brand fish tank size case I got for free (No glass panels, just hard plastic). got all of the PWM fans for free as well from E-Waste from a server rack getting upgraded. The GPU was a 6900xt that someone I know unsuccessfully watercooled it, so I got my hands on a new air cooler without a shroud and mounted fans there too. All being said, I think with the GPU, doing a push flow on the fans on a vertical mount and having the intake on the bottom really helped sell the flow. I'm now looking into doing a rotated mounting of the CPU cooler so it's also vertical air flow.
I really like the fans from noctua, especially in this classic color. Silent and virtually indestructible. I have some being used for more than 8 years without problems.
Post xmas VOMIT PC build........ Love it lol, been running Noctua industrial 140mm fans for a while, admittedly does sound like the Boing test laboratory when gaming. Just found your channel and subscribed after watching your Lian-Li TL fan video, I am just changing to these fans hopefully to save my eardrums after quite a number of years with the Noctua industrial 3000rpm fans but also to decanter wiring as I use these fans with phanteks halo rgb rings so 2 plus cables per fan, no matter what magic nothing solves the spaghetti junction of cables in my Phanteks entho evolve x case. Only upgraded to aio in the summer was on a Noctua dh14 till then and they are big but damn effective. Changed to the NZXT Karken elite 280 aio neater package and almost as good a performance as a 360 aio. Will miss the vomit and number 2 colours strangly enough, but been building since the old 286 era and really needed to tidy my build up. The outakes help cap off a fantastic delivery no bs talk just watch and enjoy.
Noctua NH-D15 G2 needs 168mm and the Asus GT502 case only supports 163mm tall coolers. You never had a chance. On the other hand I have the NH-D15 Chromax and it barely fit in my 188mm Fractal Torrent due to my tall RGB RAM. Love your work as always. I'd hate to have to build a pc with a watch on my hand to look stylish. :P
Matt: Thank you for demonstrating the proper way to build a PC; with hand tools, not power screwdrivers. Hand tools allow for a feel for when threads are crossed, and also an experienced user can accurately gauge how much torque to apply in a given situation. Power screwdrivers take all that away. Further, the proper use of hand tools is the mark of a craftsperson.
Had to buy the Noctua Seasonic PSU online last month from the UK since I hesitated to pull the trigger on Amazon when it came out in the US. Bought a US cable for it, really nice PSU and I am thankful the cables are not light beige... Will be going into an X870E Godlike full custom loop build with a few Singularity Computers Distro plates Lian Li LCD fans, just need a 5090 + waterblock now.
It is the quietest build HE has ever built... Not the quietest build of all time. No noise testing is necessary, because he did not claim it was the "quietest build," but rather the "quietest build he has ever bulit," which involves a lot of subjective factors and nuance in a noise test, unless he is comparing it a previous build he made.
Would love Matts cinema in a collab with Nerdforge and budget of LTT... Its allowed to dream after such a masterpiece - LTT and Nerdforge made a awesome video, makin that process a cinema with Matt would be cornographic. I swear, every pc or tech i see on this channel i want to buy...
I love this power supply. Too bad it's sold out everywhere. I just ordered a Seasonic Prime TX 1300 for my new build and can't wait to use it. It's apparently even quieter than both the standard TX 1600 and the Noctua version!
So I am new to the channel and I love the content, your videos are very well exicuted!!!! Just a thought, can I ask for your best build including lower budget parts?
Air coolers are awesome. They just work, and the only thing that will ever break is a fan. N opump noise, no wining, no pump failing, no sludge build up no huge tube going across the machine looking terrible. I've always thought AIOs looked really terrible in machines. Now a custom water loop is amazing if done right.
The build is epic as always, also impressed with the full-sized screwdriver flip!
It took a few attempts to figure out the off centre weighted flip balance, but we got there 😅 stoked you enjoyed it too ☕️
Air going out of the bottom of the case is a very nice touch ... I see many examples of air being pulled in and in my use case, the carpet and bare floor under the PC is likely the dirtiest place in the room. I'd much rather discharge from the bottom as opposed to intake.
Lets get those reverse Noctua Fans - we do need to see the blue on the back.
I already want to see the A12 and A14 gen 2!!!
Love my noctua nm-sd2 screwdriver to build with 🫡
This is currently my dream pc.. No lights, no frills, just pure silence.. The only thing I would change is the case to accommodate the NH15
Don't need 1000 dollars in noctua fans. Just get lower tdp/cooler running parts and tune fans or undervolt. Use techpowerup gpu reviews to compare noise and fan speeds on air cards.

I enjoy looking at my PC too much for no lights...But don't need a ton and silly rgb cable clip ons.
I love that you all include a blooper reel. The videos are already clearly very high quality, well shot and coordinated. The bloopers show just how difficult it is to get to that level of quality.
Cleanest most aesthetic build I've seen, well done,.

Perfect shot
As always a very nice and calming video!

That screwdriver flip was insane, it has improved a lot from the once I have seen.
Excellent bloopers!!
I just Bought a 1200watt Rog Strix and thought it was overkill, that 1600w Noctua edition is beastly!! great build as ever!

yeah it shocked me that for a 'silent' noctua themed build they didnt even fill out 5 of the fan slots and vertically mounted the gpu

Stunning.
My favorite RUclips PC channel by far! I think Matt should take the screwdriver flip to the next level and throw a 360 spin into the mix? 😂

Nice build!! but you should give a noise test under load for a reference if you claim the quietest build.

@jrivv2239 you are overthinking a simple comment. I'm not asking for a comparison. Just a noise test under load, just like the smoke test he does.
I went to BGSU, and brown was one of the school colors (along with Orange). My next custom build, I REALLY want to do a Noctua themed one!
