- Just another guy making a video of his ITX PC build from start to finish. Has become a bit ASMR-ish ;-)
The CPU and graphics card seem to be somewhat controversial. Apparently most RUclips tech reviewers hate them.
But hey... they completely fulfil my requirements and fit into my budget.

Many of you were interested in temps, noise levels, settings and gaming performance. Here my Follow-up video: ruclips.net/video/KJm3HULl9PM/видео.html
One of the most honest pc builds, "realizing i'm an idiot part" made me smile. Nice build!
I'm actually most impressed by you choosing the correct glass for your drink!
3am and I'm lying here watching some stranger on YT assemble a Mini-ITX PC build. ... 🙄
Oh yeah… I know these moments. If you find the video not hat enjoyable, I hope it was at least relaxing.
4AM here doing the same thing. lol
9pm Christmas Eve and I have a house full of drunk family (minus the designated driver) that won’t leave so I’m watching this.
@@KanedaPrime what are you talking about? This video was both enjoyable and relaxing
This is how it always begins.
Smart that you did a test on the assembled components before putting them in the case. I hope you enjoy your new PC. 👍
I am building my first PC and just bought the FD Terra. I have learnt so much from your video and really admire your tidiness! Thank you 😀
Nice build, nice video!
What I liked the most is how you used that cardboard layout of the motherboard to plan and pre-route the cables, that was a great idea! I'm copying the hack in my next build!
The Terra is a gorgeous case and the way you build on it makes justice to that beauty.
thanks pal! Especially with so little space to work, I think it was worth it. Have fun with your build!
Where did you found a carboard of your motherboard to scale?
@@KanedaPrime
@@fraincs I took the motherboard layout from the Gigabyte user manual (PDF). It's a vector graphic, but I did it quick and dirty by taking a screenshot and scale the outlines to 170x170mm (Mini-ITX dimensions)
Thanks just did the same for my B550 Phantom@@KanedaPrime
same, at first i thought he wanted to do custom lenght cables but after i saw him using zipties ahah
super calm and relaxing to watch, nice video bro
Damn, that cardboard m/b cutout was genius! Kudos on a build well done 👍🏻
actually the first pc build video i have watched from start to finish, great content
Super satisfying to watch! TY
this is so satisfying man
Professional and casual build, congratulations...
Great build and nice reward for yourself at the end 👍
That was soothing to watch. Great build.
The way the PSU is assembled shivers my timbers.
what a nice video man :) The fan on the bottom, exhaust or intake? could not see it really well.
I love Fractal Design cases. Installation of secondary M.2 SSD was a PITA!
A very beautiful case, might consider it if I am tired of my NP200P one day.
I have one and it's super easy to work in! Do bit of warning though: the vented side panels create high pitched whooshing noise once your fans ramp up. It's not an issue with lower end builds, but I had a rx6700 in it for a while and the sound was pretty loud. (Gamers nexus has a pretty good deep dive on the issue)
Very nice work. Very clean.
17:34 is killing me man 😂😂😂 I've been there before
Cool man, nice little build, I was thinking to make a big ATX one again but your vid gave me impression to be wrong ^^
very nicely done. Inspired. Would you change anything, temps all grand? hellos from SA
My favorite parts was building and seeing the 4090fe fit perfectly in my meshy
Good taste sir - both design and technicals.
Thanks! Glad you like it!
On my Louqe Ghost i passed the CPU cable underneath the motherboard, then underneath the PSU and the 24-pin cable also under the PSU for a much cleaner build. It's not easy, but it will fit and will look much better while also providing better airflow. I even found space for my RTX4070 cables underneath the PSU :)
Can you ellaborate or share a link/picture. I'd be very thankful!
14600k: Maximum Turbo Power 181 W
Noctua NH-L9X65 - max TDP - 140 W
nice start lol
Thermals are terrible. I have this exact case and cpu and I can't get the temps to go down. Even with undervolting the cooler just isn't good enough.
these are exactly almost the same parts that ive ordered. great video!
Cool, thanks!
@@KanedaPrime Did you have any issues with the drivers working for the Gigabyte B760I Aorus Pro DDR5 board? I'm on day 2 trying to resolve issues with the wifi not working and I can't get any USB drives to show up in Windows 11. Did you just download the drivers using Windows updates or did you specifically go to the Gigabyte website for the drivers?
Nice build and i have almost similar specs of Mini ITX as yours.
One question , how do you connect case fans connector to motherboard ?
I think we only have 1 connector on motherboard for System Fan.
thanks mate. On the Gigabyte B760I I still have one fan connection (CPU_OPT) left. But both SYS_FAN1 and CPU_OPT connectors need a "Fan header extension cable" to connect it to normal 4Pin PWM connectors
I just looking for components for my new rig which will be ITX, this is very nice rig, good video
Hey @kanedaprime.
I have a Ryzen 5600x with an Alpenfohn Blackridge, paired with BQ Silent wings 4 pro. I also struggled with the GPU width and ended up buying a 6700xt Challenger from Asrock which is 45mm only. I'm planning to upgrade later where I'll will downsize the topflow fan to a Noctua 12x15 as the BQ is an overkill. With this change I can fit a 55mm card easily.
Whenever you plan to add a new card / cooler, the math is simple. You have 120mm total clearance, where you can divide space for the card and for the cpu cooler.
Hope this helps and cool vid bro!
this video was so peaceful
Nice video . This case vents are a dust collector hope you took that in count 👌🏽
great build vid!
Perfect setup ever❤
What is the custom LGA bracket about? I've never seen that before.
Have kinda the same build, same cooler just slimmer, my cpu i5-13th gen and is reaching 95c-100c how did you manage to keep it cool?
Clean build. Cheers 🍷
Fantastic! Can the 4070 Ti Super fit in this case?
Hey, i have a b450 and idk where iam musst put the power sw cable. Can you help me?
it looks very nice - what about temperatures?
Good work! Thanks 😉
how was temp of 14600k with this air cooler?
This was enjoyable and relaxing, but it definitely did discourage me from building a PC. The last time I built one was around a decade and a half ago. I don't remember to have needed this many screws, cables and whatnot. It looks more complicated than it used to.
P.S. Der Bowmore hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. :-) Immer noch einer meiner Lieblinge
Great video - very helpful indeed as I'm about to embark on a very similar build. Just wanted to ask about your experience with the motherboard - have you hard any coil whine from it? I gather from other comments elsewhere some ASUS boards were quite bad for it in the past, and that'd the one thing that'd hold me back from buying the same motherboard as you. Im very sensitive to high-pitched noise. Cheers.
Hi @Jack-thx77. I am also quite sensitive to high frequency noise. I can confirm that I cannot hear any coil whine on my board. So far i haven't found any other review or comment that the Gigabyte B760I Aorus Pro could have that issue. At least I can recommend the mainboard with a clear conscience even after 4 months of use.
@@KanedaPrime That's great, thank you!
I just bought a asrock a520m itx ac, keen to build something similar
great job 👍🏻
I know they try and accommodate many different configurations, but I feel some of the SFX cables are a bit long for ITX builds. 🤷🏼♂️
I’m about to build my first ever ITX, let alone Mini-ITX, in the Terra, but using completely different components. Your video has given me a bit more confidence!
Did the case fan magically install itself? 14:53
Yes, it was Hollywood magic and the fan was suddenly there. 😉
OK... I was just stupid... I screwed up the shot. It was partially out of the frame and only the back of my hands was visible. I should have installed it before the power supply anyway.
good luck and have fun with your build buddy
reallz nice build, as someone alreadz sufggested cleaner would be better putting the cables behind the PSU, i will build mine soon next week with rtx Proart 4070 ti, i am not sure yet which CPU to use so i was thinking about the 13900 non K and non f, jsut the normal one, since it have lower TDP, with the AXP120 cooler, do you recommend the Board you use from gigabyte and why not the B760i from Asus ?
A nice selection of components you have in mind. I have to admit that I'm a bit of a Gigabyte fan. I've never had any problems with Gigabyte products and have always had good experiences. Good documentation, fast and long support for BIOS updates, never an RMA or DOA case (which I can't say for Asus), no "hidden revisions". Everything about this motherboard looks and feels high quality, and I'm absolutely happy with it.
I think the ASUS ROG Strix B760-I is also a good motherboard. In the end, it was a personal preference.
@@KanedaPrime thanks mate! I might go for the gigabyte now 😅 does it have 2 ssd slot or 3 ? And are the temps good after uv on high productivity work or are using it just for gaming ?
@@kinanhloubi1935 the board has 2 M.2 SSD slots. I don't just use the PC for gaming, but I do most of my productivity work on my employer's notebook. The ITX system is more than sufficient for my purposes (office programs, remote connetion to VDIs, a bit of video and image editing).
Nice build :-)
Que buen video, satisfacción total 😊
Nice hardware choices. Case looks great. Many years of use from this system before you need to upgrade. Cost per hour of use is going to be very small.
@TPQ1980 Thank you! TCO / power consumption was indeed one of the factors during planning the build. I'm not that "newest AAA game" player anyway. I usually buy games when they are on sale. With AAA games this usually means that they are already 3-4 years old. It also has the advantage that they are usually well patched by then :-)
my only gripe with the case is that you cant install a water cooling AIO and temps are pretty bad if you have a founder edition 4090, though you can open the case easily to let more air in. but still one of the best m-itx cases out there! I have 2 systems built like this =)
Great build, what are your temps like?
(copy paste from other comment)
I am still playing around with undervolting and power limit settings. I'll most likely make a follow-up video with benchmarks, settings, temperatures etc.
With my current settings the CPU reaches around 82 °C under stress test like Cinebench. The GPU has a maximum of 65 - 66 °C (stock settings).
Love the mockup idea. I WILL be doing that.
I envy. I already build my pc 2 weeks ago, but only just yesterday i found about the cpu bracket, i dont know if i really need it to put it in my pc, i just build now if i will put it i will need to disassemble again.
Why not add an exhaust fan on the top?
Would there have been space still for another fan on the top side of the case?
Not really. On the side where the motherboard and riser cable are located, you have almost 0 free space. And above the power supply unit, the plug is in the way. You could turn the power supply around so that the plug is on the other side. but even then you hardly have room for a fan.
I don't think you need one there. The lower fan blows wonderfully warm air upwards.
Nice video, but the whole assembly looks like a major kludge. If you have the space, why not use a roomier case?
how was the thermals ??? what was the max CPU and GPU temperature ?
The GPU has a maximum of 65 - 66 °C (stock settings).
It gets a little complicated with the CPU :-) Short Version: I am currently running it with a power limit of 95W (PL1 and PL2) and under heavy load like cinebench it reaches around 84 °C. I haven't done any fine-tuning jet but I'm happy with it for now.
@KanedaPrime great video ! I've a few questions about your components choice : why 8 go 4060ti, man ??? you could have saved money on ssds, by opting for the fan Xiang, the S880 or even the s660 for your second ssd, are good performance/price deal, for example ; and save money to buy a 16 go model ^^
@Zadig_Ben Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks.
As I have already written in a comment, for me personally, the additional price of the 16 GB version was not in relation to the added value. I don't play with ultra textures and I'm sticking with 1080p for now. It is more than sufficient for my needs and I think it will be around for the next 2-3 GPU generations. I'm not that "newest AAA game" player anyway.
The most obvious thing i could have done with the buget would have been to do without the second ssd and use a 4070. But i love the luxury of having so much storage space
I could have saved a little on the first SSD. The Lexar 4TB as second SSD was already one of the best performance/price deal i could find. But for me it was more important to save a bit on the GPU because it will probably be replaced sooner than all the other components.
Wouldn't it have just made more sense to turn the cooler fan so you're not left with so much fan cable slack and instead just route it down the sides?
I wonder if I could do the same build with an i7 CPU and not have problems with overheating? And whether it would perform well for video editing and rendering?
As you may have seen in my follow up video, I have set power limits and the CPU is undervolted. so I sacrificed a little performance for healthier temperatures. For me that's absolutely ok and I expected it.
According to the Noctua compatibility list, the cooler should be ok for an i7, but I think it's better to use a slightly larger cooler for video editing and rendering
What about temps cpu and gpu?
Outstanding build broham! Its been a month, how's your little Frankenstein holding up? I would like to know! Really setting my mind into building my own little monster (first timer, total noob 🤫) and i really like your choices in components. Nothing flashy, Im not a gamer. But after all my adult life (I'm 50) using the same old pre fabricated PCs, I'm ready to build my own. Your advice would be very much appreciated! The phanteks evolv shift xt case is what i want to use. 🤔 Thanks for your input! 👍🤘
Thanks mate! Even after a month, I am more than satisfied with my system. Utility, performance and aesthetics are exactly as I intended. Building your own PC is not only fun, but you also have a system tailored to your own requirements. The Phanteks Evolv Shift XT has an interesting concept due to its flexible size.
When it comes to recommendations, I can't say too much other than "Take your time". Think about your individual requirements, do some research and plan your build. Take your time also during the building process and it will turn out fine. I believe that there is no such thing as "the one ultimate PC".
Have fun and good luck with your build!
@@KanedaPrime my man, I did my research and only thing different would be the the GPU. Found the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Eagle 8G will be more than enough for my needs. Thanks again for the little push I needed! 👍👍🤘🤘
so beautiful

GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 Windforce OC
GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 Eagle OC
ASUS ProArt GeForce RTX 4070

If you flip the bottom fan to exhaust, it should improve your overall temps
I'm not so sure about that. If I ever should have cold hands while playing, I just hold them over the case ;-)
The airflow bypasses the rear part of the GPU and the warm air is transported upwards very well.
I don't think there is much space for the air to escape from underneath the case. As warm air is lighter and rises upwards, it could flow back into the housing.
Well... at least in my theory.
It looks pretty neat and all and I’m not an expert but personally I feel little uncomfortable thinking about overheating 😅
Can this cpu cooler fits if I install a rtx 3090 fe ?
And are temps manageable ?
Hi. With this CPU cooler the RTX 3090 founders edition would not fit. As far as i can see, the dimensions of the 3090 FE are 336 mm x 140 mm x 61 mm right? it would fit in the case but you would only have 48mm left for the cpu cooler. With Powerlimits an a bit of undervolting the temps are fine. If you like you can watch my follow-up video about it.
Beautiful case Im regreting buying mine in silver lol btw youll ger better temps if you change the bottom fan to exhaust
about to build this with 3060 and 5600x, also using the same cooler, the chonk boii
How much did it cost
mükemmel işçilik ve muhteşem bir bilgisayar 👍
9:10 wait, did you take off the CPU cooler film protector? 😅 or there is not in it?
😄the Noctua only had that plastic thingy on the CPU cooler. But I had also doubled-checked whether there was a film protection
@@KanedaPrime oh nice hahahah
Are all those screws, nuts, and standoffs included in the components?
Yes, they are. I think there were also a few more than necessary as spare parts. (I'm not quite sure)
Ficou perfeito. Parabéns pelo projeto!
Perfect 👍
can you used the Fractal Design Terra as a case for external GBU?
i'm not that knowledgeable about "DIY eGPUs". But i think it will be difficult to mount the Board / PCB (if you can even find one). Also in terms of cost and size, you will probably be better off with a "ready to go" external graphics enclosure (e.g. Razer Core X, Cooler Master MasterCase EG200,...)
It would be cool to se a dedicated USB C 150W output directly from the Power brick.
How many zipties u want to use?
Kaneda: Yes.
sehr schöner build, ordentliche Zusammenstellung der Komponenten
Danke Sehr!
Very nice
What is the purpose of using another socket holder? Contact frame ?
The LGA1700 socket, which Intel introduced with the 12th generation of their Core CPUs is known to have problems with bending hardware. The contact frame (should) prevent this and (should) help decrease the CPU temperature.
Thank you kindly@@KanedaPrime
Ficou lindão❤
Next time you do a build like that, could you have a list of components ? Makes it much easier to write the parts name down. I want to build one of these ITX systems.
Hi. You can find the parts lists in the video description. There you will also find a pcpartpicker link de.pcpartpicker.com/b/rWLPxr
temperaturen der cpu schon getestet ?
Ja. ich denke ich hab meine finalen BIOS settings gefunden.
Vcore offset: -0.07V, Power limit (PL1 and PL2): 75W
CPU Max (Cinebench 2024) : um die 76 °C
Great video, but would not recommend pairing a 14600k with a nh-l9x65, the cpu is 125w and can reach 181w during max turbo, the l9x65 is a great low profile air cooler but i wouldn't use it with anything beyond 90w (and 90w is a stretch already), do not believe in Noctua's "compatibility list" and proprietary "thermal dissipation score" i did the same mistake with a 12600k, and had to order a 120mm aio instead (i'm using an old CM Elite 120 case), at the beginning i thought it was due to the small clearance between the fan and the power supply (it was a tight fit) but after a open air test i kept hitting 100c (Tjuction, Thermal throttling) in Cinebench, and hitting the high 70's, low 80's while gaming, now with the AIO Cinebench peak temp is 70c and never goes beyond 50c while gaming. If there is a perfect use for a 120 AIO this is it.
Have you seen my follow-up video? I already expected the CPU to get too toasty and set power limits plus undervolted the CPU. So i have sacrificed a tiny bit of performance for better temperatures.
Your estimation is pretty good. Below 95W the maximum temperatures were in a healthy range in Cinebench. I also find Noctua’s “NSPR” rating a bit shady. But at least it helps to compare the Noctua coolers with each other.
Nice build. That 4060 Ti is only 41mm, you could have used spine position 1 and had more room for a better cooler. I have a 42mm GPU in my Terra and am cooling a 13600kf with a Big Shuriken 3, works well. Both the Thermalright AXP120-X67 and the Deepcool AN600 would fit and they are both better than the BS3 and all 3 are better than the NH-L9x65. Since you already have it I would replace the fan with a Noctua NF-A9 PWM, either brown or chromax.
Thanks for the hints. I wanted to leave room for a 2.5 slot GPU (approx. 50mm), which I originally had in mind. The NF-A9 PWM would be a genuine option. i just need to find out how to get the right mounting brackets?!?
@@KanedaPrime Hello, you installed two ssd Samsung SSD 990 PRO 1TB, M.2 , and the second , Lexar NM790 4TB, M2 why not Samsung ? Is Lexar good or Samsung?
@@reshad711 Hi. in general, the Samsung 990 pro has the better "reputation" and has excellent performance. First and foremost, I opted for the Lexar as my second SSD for budgetary reasons. The 990 PRO as 4TB cost around 340€, the Lexar NM790 4TB around 200€. In my opinion The Lexar NM790 4TB is a excellent "Bang for the buck" PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.
