The Arctic Liquid Freezer III's PWM monitoring is not accurate compared to the product specifications.
During the thermal test, the pump RPM was fixed at PWM 70%, and the VRM was kept as low as possible (~400 RPM).
I guessed the actual RPM by looking at the product spec sheet (bit.ly/4ckInEp).

Great video! Quick question - the side fans should be intake or out?
Both ways are fine. Personally, I prefer intake, but exhaust is also good if you're worried about dust!

Since you used the separate cables for the cooler I’m interested where did you connect them ?
I connected the three front fans to the PWM header through the hub included with the Fractal North XL, and the Lian Li P28 fans are connected to the motherboard PWM headers via a daisy chain.
Finally, the two side fans are connected to another PWM header through a daisy chain. Therefore, I used three PWM headers!

So I'm building a system pretty similar to this and wondering if I really need all of this extra cooling. I was thinking of buying an extra exhaust fan for the back, but apart from that leaving it as is. Do you guys reckon all of the shown extra fans are really necessary?

It depends on your CPU and GPU. Side fans are definitely helpful, but there's a hassle of airflow bringing in dust without dust filters. I removed the side fans and replaced the 4070S shown in the video with the 4080 which I usually use. It's already sufficient.
Therefore, if memory or GPU cooling is necessary, extra fans would be beneficial, but if not, removing them wouldn't be a problem at all.

That is not a good thermal paste application. Triangle shape is going to trap air.

so what's the difference between this XL and the original Fractal North? It's too bad you can't fit fans under the gpu. In front of it, covers up the gpu
The appearance looks the same, but the sizes are completely different. Actually, it is closer to a full tower case. When we consider cooling performance, there are many cases to choose from. This one is just going with the wooden vibes. 💜🖤
@SNAPSHOTREVIEW what would you consider the size of the fractal north original? Would you say it'd be a mini itx?
@@BobCostas-db5hb Yo! The North original is best suited for ATX, and if you're on a budget, mATX is also fine. It feels too much for Mini-ITX💜🖤
