Hey Mama, thanks for watching! Who are you planning on being in the room with you during labor and birth? I had my husband, sister in law, and my doula with me!
I had my husband and mom with our first and just my husband with our second as my mom was watching our first. We hired a doula for our third, hopefully my mom will be here to watch our first two so my husband can be at the birth again otherwise just me and the doula. (We moved across the continent about 9 months ago, got pregnant like within a week of moving)
Giiirrrrlll! Your videos have saved my life! I am a first time mom and just went into labor Thursday night and had my baby boy early Friday morning. I watched and watched your videos all through out my pregnancy! I rewatched and rewatched them as well! I even had my husband watch a couple with me to get an idea of what to expect! You have such great information and you helped me relax through most of my labor! I’m so incredibly thankful that I stumbled upon your videos while looking up last minute things I needed to know before becoming a momma. Thank you so much, even though you didn’t do anything I could hear your voice telling me to remain calm and to breathe the proper way. Thanks to you I only pushed for 31 minutes! I labored at home till I couldn’t take it no more and we got to the hospital and I was already 9cm! Which I did not feel like I was! So I also have you to thank for that! Being calm and relaxing through each contraction got me through it!
@@christinamontesano2423 Congrats mama!! That is amazing. I am going to be due soon as well and I am hoping to labor at home as long as possible and as comfortably as possible as well.
Thank you for all your videos , I was able to have my first baby with out a epidural I went through 24 hours of active labor and I would do it all over again for that moment when I met my baby 👶🏽❤️it was a beautiful experience.
My dr and nurses in birth center were discussing tv shows in between pushes with my first 5 years ago. It ticked off my husband so much he still talks about it today. I’m due with our second in 9 weeks and we are doing this one at home with a midwife! Hoping for a much more positive experience 🙏
I love this! My first and second labors were miserable. I had no privacy and lots of people in and out due to lack of support. The last 2 were good and I expect this next one to be amazing due to this video! Thanks so much!
I just delivered yesterday and it wasn't as smooth as I desired, took a few hours longer than I had hoped however, I listened to lots of these videos (mainly the meditations and affirmations) on this channel and others and even the birth took longer than I hoped (it was a bigger baby than my previous ones) it was such a powerful experience. I was calm and never did I think I could not do it. I delivered at home with 2 midwives, was discharged 2 hours post birth, baby and I super healthy. I had a tiny tear that needed no help. I'm barely bleeding today and able to use the bathroom without help to walk, I even pooped without any pain, also no burning when I peed, even the first time! Amazing experience! I would not change it for anything and I'm so happy I did this!
This is stunning information, it always seems more babies were born at night and I always wondered why, it makes so much sense why darkness is seen at birth centers too, love it!
I watched so many of your videos with my first baby and gave birth with no pain meds in 7 hours. Rewatching them again when I'm 4 weeks away from due date with my second and feeling so much more prepared this time!
Ugh! So glad for this video, my labor STALLED out last week, like I rushed into the hospital with contractions 2-3min apart and I dilated 1 - 2 cm with wonderful contractions and then with people coming in and out of the room my focus got thrown off and all of my contractions just STOPPED!!! they let me go the next day, I stopped progressing and left at 2cm dilated.
I'm due in a week with my second child. I've been inspired by your videos for the last couple years and I'm still learning so much. Thanks for all your professionalism! And another side compliment...you have great video set up. So many videos these days are jarring to watch due to bad quality, lighting, etc.
Thanks for your breathing exercises during labor video. It's so effective yesterday I blessed with baby girl. Your video so helpful to me in labor. Keep rocking
Due in May and am trying to get ready for a planned unmedicated birth. I have to do it in the hospital but I'm hoping it can be as calm and peaceful as possible still. Thank you for this and I love your channel!
Due my second baby in 6 weeks and I am so scared because I know what to expect but your videos are really helping me feel more prepared for my Labour.. Thank you 😊
I am 23 weeks and 2 days and I am pregnant with my second baby. I had an epidural with my first born and it really did some bad effects on my back. I am watching your videos on repeat as much as I can! Thank you so much. I wish you were my doula 😫 you are amazing! Thank you for these videos! I am going natural this second baby
My first labour was with another 3 labouring mums in a prebirth room, the second labour was even worse, we were 5 in that prebirthroom all labouring at verious stages. No privacy at all, the other mums said to me that they see the baby's head comming before I was called to walk in the actual birthroom and the baby came rightaway once on the birth table. One good part about that comunal birthing experience was that the mothers had a way of seeing the more advanced labouring mums and learn from them on the spot and we became best buddies as we went together through a hard experience.
This time around we are going to move houses soon after the baby is born. The house we are moving to is awesome, but the increase in rent, the change, plus the increase in the size of our family is starting to weigh on my mind. Feeling a lot of overwhelming feelings this go around!
Can you make a video about tips for vbac attempting momas? I want to attempt a VBA2C in my next pregnancy because I know my body is made to do this! I hope you see this comment!!!
Thank you for giving me a piece of mind! I’m due in March and I’m an FILLED with anxiety because I don’t know what to expect and I’m terrified. Your video literally have helped me cope with my fear but it’s still lingering 😅. Any mamas out there that recommend anything to ease the fear?
hypnobirthing!! i’m due in april and i invested in a hypnobirthing course that helps release the fear of birth and it’s so empowering, i would recommend it to any pregnant woman. also, the book “ina may’s guide to childbirth” is a great resource:)
Watch/read positive birth stories, whether you are having a hospital or home birth. That helped me so much during the waiting time for my first birth, and I'm doing the same now with this second baby😊. Prayers for a safe and fast delivery!
How do you accomplish these things while in a hospital? I want to labor at home as long as possible but I’m concerned that transitioning to the hospital will slow things because I feel stressed or can’t control my environment. I never feel comfortable in doctor office settings so if anyone has insight on how to feel safe and comfortable in a hospital I’d appreciate it!
@@hllymchll lol I'd like to have people there in case of emergency, but I don't want them walking in and out of the room and checking my progress every hour, ya know? I may ask my aunt who is a nurse to be home with me as long as I can stand it and then drive to the hospital :)
I don't know how you ended up doing it, but I experienced my active labour slowing down a little as I arrived to hospital, there were lots of interruptions and annoying questions untill I was taken to the birthing suit. Then there was quiet and the labour progressed fast and 2 hours I hold my baby in my arms.
Hi Bridget! 31 weeks here, 2nd pregnancy. First labor was induced, and was not a favorable experience. This time I want the most natural experience since this is our last little one, and hopefully to make the experience more positive and enjoyable despite the pandemic going on. My question to keep myself in a positive mindset listening to meditations/calming music - would it be best for ear buds or the use of a speaker to kill out any unwanted noises, i.e. being at the hospital? I'm unsure what would be more comforting, even when you say silence is an element to a calm birth. Thank you for your time! Loving the information, it has brought me more peace and knowledge on what I need to do this time! :)
Hi Ms. Bridget, been watching your videos most of the time now.Im a 1st time Mom to be and im on my 37 weeks and im a lil bit scared. When you say un- medicated birth, what does it mean?
I'm due with my second baby boy in April, and my first son is about to turn 3. He is very attached to me and wants me to do a lot of things with him almost all day. So my question is that if I wanted to stay home for the first while during labor, should I ask someone to come and take my little boy somewhere so I have more privacy? Or do you think it would stall labor at all to have him in the house? I'm thinking once it gets to the point where I can't talk through contractions that I'll need to be away from him...for his sake and my laboring. 😬😊🤰👨👩👦👦
Hey Mama, thanks for watching! Who are you planning on being in the room with you during labor and birth? I had my husband, sister in law, and my doula with me!

Hi! I plan to have my partner and my older sister with me :)
I have 6days until I’m due! Mom and partner will be in the room.

In Africa we stay alone for labour and give birth many Hosp do't allow relatives and it is normal for years

Pooping with company is something I got used to in Army basic training and with young children 😂 but yes, it's nicer to be left alone sometimes

You are calming. I wish that you were my dula.
Re: #1, at what point should the lights come on so that the midwife can see what’s happening ??
You can ask them to point a light where they need it instead of shining one right down on you
Are you able to travel to other state to work?
I am, but it's definitely a bit more pricey!
