    Sitting on a toilet helped me a lot with my second babe my contractions started at around 4:00 AM and I labored at home Until about 9:00 AM and we took our daughter to my parents house so we could go to the Doctor, I really didn't want to go to the Doctor yet because I now my labor pains had to become more intense before giving birth, but my husband was so nervous about my labor, 😂 it was his first time being there for the labor and birth he wanted to go a lot sooner, l told him the Doctor would just send us home if we went to soon, but around 10:00 AM, I gave in after my mom said it might be a good idea to go and check it out, my contractions were pretty strong by then, but I thought they had to get much stronger, so anyway we went to the Doctor and he checked my cervix and said I was only 3 centimeters dilated and we could go home or wander around in town until 12:00 pm and then come back to check me again, and then I told my husband (I told you so) and so I wanted to go to the toilet before we left and then my water broke it was a splash and from then on the contractions were so powerful I couldn't get any rest from them, so I couldn't even get off the toilet by myself, and then the Doctor came to check what was happening and when he saw me he told me to get off the toilet before I dropped the babe into the toilet and once I got back on the bed he checked me again and said I was 10 centimeters dilated and in 3 pouches she was born, after sitting on the toilet for a couple of minutes I was completely dilated and it went fast from there, so yeah I think sitting on the toilet really helped me.

      Just a note, it's possible to donate very quickly. I went from 2/3 cm to fully dilated and baby born in an hour. If contractions are super intense but you're not dilated or don't feel baby low enough yet it might be a position issue.

    I utilized your breathing techniques during my first labor, and did it all-natural, no drugs, no epidural. Labor went so smoothly and I was able to stay relaxed despite how painful it was!

    Hey Bridget, I just need to tell you something.
    Like you have mentioned before, many people, including myself, have an idea in their head of what childbirth looks like- on their back, legs apart, screaming in the hospital bed- like in the movies. Even when speaking to friends and relatives about birth, there hadn't been any other indication that giving birth more naturally was even possible (I.e. no pain relief, different positions for labour and birth etc). After educating myself with your content, i even explained to many my intentions to have a more naturual birth using the techniques you share, to which most of them questioned was a good idea. Your videos helped me prepare and feel empowered for labour and birth. I was ready to have my baby and have an unmedicated labour.
    Sadly my waters broke and I did not enter labour after 36hours and needed an induction. The induction did not work for me, and many hours of pain later my body and baby were in distress and I ended up having an emergency c section. This was the most intense and terrifying experience I have ever had as i was not prepared for major abdominal surgery while being awake. But it was worth it for a beautiful daughter.
    Despite all this, I still want to thank you. I will recommend your content to pregnant friends/family till the day I die. Even though I couldn't give birth the way I intended, I still want to encourage as many as I can to think about giving birth more naturally.

      Yeah, even in my country there is a belief, that women sleep on back, and spread legs and bend knees and expose private parts all open to display for doctor and many people, and become like a motionless still frozen statue with no movement, then doctor comes and 'ARTIFICIALLY HIMSELF MANUALLY REMOVES OUT' a baby from other side of bed, while woman seeing towards ceiling and thinking of london n being brutally half unconcious half nude and near death and not knowing what is going on other side, she horrifically gets a big jolt when doctor MANUALLY from outside REMOVES or TAKES OUT A CREATURE OUT OF STATUE LIKE FREEZED SLEEPING WOMAN BODY and screams like hell and all her eyes turn red red like drunk , and suddenly baby cries are heard. If doctor is not able to ARTIFICIALLY TEMOVE a mass of baby out of flat laying motionless, speechless statyed and glued woman's body, he probably takes two his two hands and 'PRESSES' stronlgy and hardly , vigorously up and down on her belly like crazy and ARTIFICIALLY SQUEEZES OUT BABY TO REMOVE IT
      This was how we are shown birth on tv serials and movies
      And it taught us - DOCTORS GIVE BIRTH to women's babies, and 'Disburden' pain ridden helpless and fateful woman's body by 'EXTRACTING' baby out of her frozen body.

    How can we go to toilet, in case of water break. In my 1st pregnancy, my water broke and i was kept on bed , i didn't even move or change my position as i wasn't aware of anything 😂 But, by God's grace, i had watched your breathing technique video also, i was doing prenatal yoga till last day So, my delivery was smooth and vaginal.
    But, i still want to know more about ,what to do when water breaks. I am 33 weeks pregnant with 2nd baby 😊
    Do you have video on that? Plz share the link.
    And thank you for sharing such wonderful awareness ❤

      Just curious, would the epidural have helped baby not get stuck? I wonder if you had little to no sensation bc of the epidural you could have had more damage if you pushed the same.

I’m o- and my husband is o+, I’d like to have a natural home birth but I can’t find any information on if rh incompatibility complicates that. Also, I’m aware that it’ll be recommended that I get a rhogam shot, so you know if that complicates birth and/or breastfeeding? Thanks!

    I'm 33 weeks along with baby #2. My birth with baby #1 was wonderful, no medication wanted or needed. I'm curious if you have any thoughts on how to alleviate nausea in active labor. With my first, once active labor started, I vomited until my stomach was empty, and I was desperately thirsty, but any tiny sip of water I took just resulted in uncomfortable dry heaving with the next contraction. I would love to find a way to be more hydrated in labor this time!

    It always amazes me what should be a no-brainer best practice but also denied in the hospital. Like 8oz water per hour -- nope! I've chips only. Or protein then carbs every hour! -- nope! Not allowed.

      @mykaelaorwig9646 Год назад +11

      Just so you are aware, there are many home birth midwives who are willing and able to deliver breech babies at home. Breech is a variation of normal! ❤ Obviously I don’t know your situation or birth team, but you do have options, even with a breech babe, for a natural birth! 🥰 Many hospitals say breech is an automatic cesarean, but it’s only because of liability, and because many doctors are not trained in breech delivery. My midwife is, and has delivered many healthy breech babies. Not trying to tell you what to do-I just encourage you to do your research on the options available! God bless as you await your new addition!

      @@mykaelaorwig9646 thank you so much for your comment. Yes my midwife has spoken to me about the possibility of still giving birth with her in breech. I need to look more into that as I hear it can have complications. Just so deflated at the moment after hearing the news that she is breech. Hopefully with acupuncture, massage, spinning babies and prayer... She will turn 🤞

      Hi, I am 37+5 today and I had what we call 'external turn' in German. My hospital delivers breech babies but my baby is to small and to weak to open my pelvis with her butt coming first (the baby can use way less pressure with their butt then with their head obviously...). Because I want to avoid a c section I had her turned from the outside. I don't know if that practice is available at all in the US. A doctor grabbed her through my belly skin and turned her upside down. It was a little uncomfortable but I am happy she now is upside down and I can hopefully deliver her without a c section.
      I had found yoga classes for turning on RUclips which I liked but her butt was already stuck to far down to turn on her own...
      I hope you can get your baby turned one way or the other or deliver it breech. Good luck!

      @@andreamariapohl1611 thank you so much. I am in Australia and they call that procedure ECV. I have thought about it but I'm not sure that I want to try that. I am so glad it worked for you and your bub! ☺️ I am hoping that she turns and if she doesn't... Well I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that she may have to be born via csection 😔 I just want her out safely 🙏

    • @CorryCroquette
      @CorryCroquette Год назад +4

      I have had a external turn too. I would totally go for it, if I were you. There are way less risks involved in that than with a c section of breech delivery. Dont wait too long though. The longer you wait how harder it becomes too turn the baby

      I asked my doctor the other day and he told me that eating is totally fine, but most women don't want to eat by the time they are in active labor due to feeling nauseous. So my plan is to eat as long as I'm feeling comfortable with it so that I have the energy

      @glog8989 Месяц назад

      That is usually the reason a hospital won't want you to eat, but not eating, especially in early labor, increases your chances of having a c-section. I had small, easily digested snacks. By active labor, like most people said, you won't feel hungry anyway.
