    Also wanted to add, if you set it to 720p on desktop, and you hit RSR and don't see a flicker (as of current drivers / implementation), it's most likely not working. I ran into that multiple times, just forgot to include it in the video. Easiest method is to just restart it, or go into the AMD control panel and try toggling it there. Definitely some weird bugs still going on, that hopefully will get ironed out in future updates.
    Don't forget to SUB if you like the videos, it helps the channel out a lot. See you in the next one :)

    • @filt3rless
      @filt3rless  6 месяцев назад

      Hey, you'll want to adjust the in-game resolution when using RSR. So you'd want to use 900p or 720p so it can upscale. If the game starts at 1080p, you'll have to restart the game after setting a lower resolution for RSR to take effect. And thanks, glad the videos helped :)

  • @ezg8448
    @ezg8448 Год назад +5

    RSR is amazing when it does work but it can be tricky to get working.
    Setting the game to full screen mode may help it more often to enable. Not borderless full screen, but full screen.
    Also that universal tuning program seems to work better forcing RSR on at times.

  • @WillySou
    @WillySou Год назад +3

    Thanks👍 Alt+R is a nice shortcut for the adrenalin software👌. I end up using RIS a lot more because it sharpens the 720p a bit and still lets me use the framecap (with rsr and anti-lag on the framecap doesn't work for me). I remember i wanted to give you a tip for the steam deck dock. I'm using the Jsaux adapter (to use with cases) for the dock. Its not too expensive and works really well. Don't need to use the paper stand from the ally. Keep up the good work

      Thanks for the tip! I use RIS too. It works at 1080p as well, all resolutions work. I like RIS because you can toggle it on and forget about it and it just "works". RSR is a real pain in my opinion 🤣

    • @filt3rless
      @filt3rless  Год назад

      If you just run it at 720p it looks blurry and not very clear. With RSR or RIS (Radeon Image Sharpening) it makes the picture look sharper/better. You still get the performance of 720p, but it looks closer to 1080p. I use RIS and recommend it over everything else, it works at any resolution. Here is a video I made on it: ruclips.net/video/at6RXXjpfB4/видео.html

    Thanks for the video, I spent the whole day trying to make RSR work, I already left the like. Now there is a pop up with the green check when I start the game, but in the AMD software app the same green check does not appear. Is there anything else I can try to do? Just wanted to be 100% sure it's working. Great video mate!

    • @filt3rless
      @filt3rless  Год назад +1

      Hey, that is another issue I noticed occasionally. When trying to Alt+R it'd not show up properly. So the overlay when you start the game is what you'll want to pay attention to. As long as at the top right it shows the green check mark enjoy the game and you're good to go :).
      Also when you're in game, you can toggle RSR and if you look VERY closely at at the edges on the boxes in command center they will slightly sharpen (it's really hard to see).

      You could assign the keyboard shortcuts to a "shift" layer in AC. So when you hold the back paddle and select a button, that button can run a list of "Combo" keyboard shortcuts. I'm using a program called reWASD, but it's a bit more complicated to setup. I am wanting to do a video of a deep dive on reWASD as it's amazing, so it's how I personally assign all my keys. The setup is somewhat frustrating though to learn all the in's/out's.

    • @filt3rless
      @filt3rless  Год назад +1

      If you pull up command center and see "1080p" RSR is not working. And a lot of games I've tested, borderless or full screen have issues if you launched them at 1080p with RSR off then try to get RSR turned on at 720p. It's much easier to just start at 720p with RSR on. The setting is a pain IMO and is very inconsistent in the way it acts.
