Absolutely great job and very interesting to install as a brand new modern touch screen conversion for my old Jag XJ 350.

i did notice what you said about the bluetooth connection thru phone and not always receiving forward or back command on first try from steering wheel and cd unit but screen always displays command

Excellent conversion and I would love to see this in my car! But I‘m not sure how long I will keep my X-Type as it was planned as a short term car until the Tesla Model Y from Berlin will arrive.

Front and rear camera option is standard, I probably should have included that in the video!

Looks fantastic. Just about to get another XJ. Can Alexa and voice control be used?
You can certainly use Google Assistant voice control when a USB mic is added to the system, not sure about Alexa
This is amazing! Do the steering wheel buttons work with Apple Carplay, too? Would be absolutely fantastic, if you also could do a little demo of Carplay in general. Thank you so much!

Hi - I've got a 2005 Diesel jag S-type, but no handsfree phone sysstem is installed. Will this JagDroid system offer handsfree option, so I can answer an incoming call or dial an outgoing call via the screen and get the sound out f the car loudspeakers?
How are you doing? I have a 2003 s type and my screen went completely black and I can't control anything. Not the radio, no air but the heat is stuck on and I can't get it to turn off! If I were to buy one of these upgrades that you've created do you think it would fix the problem? I do like your creations and give it a thumbs up!

Do you need the cd changer an nav in the boot to use the touchscreen unit with jagdroid ?
All the original Jaguar screens on the touchscreen are driven by the DVD-NAV drive in the boot so this needs to be retained as part of the upgrade, but it doesn't need any modifications. The CD changer is optional.
I had android made by you and it's beautiful on my XJ. Now my generator is broken and i fixed it but when I diagnose! It does bring an error reading and it doesn't react.
What should I do to being it back to life?
Hi there - I have a jag xj sovereign 08 plate - and it sat a while, prior eveything was working fine. But now this same system doesn't work... all u get from the speakers is a crackling sound. Eveything works in the sense of touch screen pic and that beep sound when u touch the screen. But no sound from radio or CD, just a funny cracking/frequency noise
Any suggestions ? I did jump start it with a booster pack - key wasnt in it at the time.
Please if you could let me know - maybe I could bring you the car ?

There must be a way I'm guessing esp as Ford own Jaguar etc and I'm sure the systems work similarly 🤷🏻♂️

I am wondering if this is possible...
I have a 2006 Ford Mondeo Mk3 ST220 with the factory Denso Sat Nav GPS touchscreen unit ....it's obviously old tech but works OK and want to keep the car as factory as possible.
Do you think you maybe able to do something with that unit??
I've seen some East European kind of Jagdroid systems that have worked on it and with your knowledge I'm sure wouldn't be too difficult.
I don't fancy sending my unit across Europe lol ...most likely won't get it back 😅
It has steering wheel voice activation and volume up / down...track skip etc ....
The navigation only goes to 2012 but not that bothered.
Maybe you could kindly let me know because I'm sure the Jag system isn't that different internally 🤷🏻♂️
The S type 3ltr shares the same 3ltr V6 24V Duratec engine and some other parts.
Please let me know what you think.
If you're not sure about the unit just Google Ford Mondeo Mk3 Denso Sat Nav unit ...it was in some other Fords like CMax etc

Yes it will work, and you can add a USB CarPlay dongle if you want to use Apple CarPlay

I live in the US Utah and have a 2007 XJR that I need converted. Does current Jagdroid have USB to Apple iPhone capability so I can play music off of my iPhone/iPod and use Google Maps on my iPhone? I did not see an email on your website, how do we communicate? Do you have an email address?
You can add a CarPlay dongle if you want to use apps on your phone, see here: ruclips.net/video/mP6CuUKE4BI/видео.html but you can also run Google Maps directly on the JagDroid system without that. Drop me an email at info@jagdroid.org

Similar systems cost about the same but don't look stock.
Love this but price is a bit steep I only paid £1000 for the car and this is nearly the price of the car lol

What format is the aux in?... USB?... 3.5mm?
The aux-in is a 2 x Phono/RCA Line-level analogue for Alpine equipped cars, and 1 x digital SPDIF for Standard audio equipped cars. However this is used by the Odroid for audio so not available for additional external devices. So, you have the option of connecting external devices via Bluetooth for audio streaming, or connecting a USB storage device for playing music and/or video.
@@JagDroid Thanks for the reply. I'm not keen on bluetooth and prefer to hardwire for music. I was hoping it would be compatible with a USB storage device. Nice one.

Does it work with the rear control panel / screen?
It has no specific integration with the rear controls where fitted, although you can adjust the volume and change audio source etc, just as when playing a CD.
@@JagDroid any plans to direct the video source to the rear screens? (or if it's even possible)
@@G_K_S The Odroid Android computer doesn't have a second video output, but in theory you could add an HDMI splitter with composite video output, and send that feed to the rear screen aux-in. Not tried it myself though as I don't have the rear screens in my car unfortunately.

Hello Steve, not quite sure what you are asking - correct about what exactly? Which part do you think is complicated about it? It's just the same as any Android phone or tablet in operation, as demonstrated in the video. It doesn't matter what phone you have, it doesn't actually even need a phone. But, you can pair with your phone using bluetooth to play music if you want to do that, or alternatively use your phone as a wifi hotspot to give it a data connection so that you can use up to date maps, music streaming etc all on the device itself. If you want to run Apple CarPlay you can do that too, all explained in my CarPlay video ruclips.net/video/mP6CuUKE4BI/видео.html

Why can't you take a bit cheaper Hardware so it would cost like 200-300 bucks?(for example if the hardware costs like 150-200 than take 100-200 more and sell if for 250-400 bucks)

Can you use Apple car play?

If it doesn't have advanced OBD2 diagnostics, jaguar own to completely scan all modules then thats a missed opportunity.
You can add a Bluetooth ODB2 dongle and install an Android diagnostic app such as Torque etc and run the diagnostics directly on the touchscreen

Yes it has Bluetooth for audio streaming but not telephone calls
