- One of the modern features that can be useful in older luxury cars is the addition of bluetooth. Having this convenience allows for integrated music, navigation, handsfree calling, ect.
We talk through some of the options available for the Jaguar such as the @JagDroid with seamless integration, to other options that can also get the job done.
Here are links out to the solutions discussed in the video.

Love the upholstery pins in the headliner. I have the same solution in my ‘06 Cayenne Turbo. I got a bid of $1000 to professionally redo it and the push pins immediately became the solution. 😂
They have held up better than expected. Headliner is going to be in the list of projects for this year!
thank you for your in depth videos sir. its been very helpful to know more about the car im waiting on for delivery. its a 2000 vanden plas which my cousin owned (first owner) and brought to the Philippines. he has since passed on and Im fortunate enough to take care of it and add on to the 9400 miles he put on it.
Glad to help! Enjoy your new car!
Recently just got a 99 xjr and youre the only channel that really has videos on it!
Thanks! We have more in the pipeline. We have a few big updates to the channel but there will be more on the XJR very soon!
@@LowTechGarage is there anyway I can get in contact with you? Because most of the things you did I would also like to do and your personal help would be much appreciated
thx man great vid
Thanks a lot!
I have used these for years and your right they have improved the products.
I have a screen one as I have the 2003 XJ6SE with CD but the principle is the same, plug into the cigarette lighter and it just sits there very nicely, small little screen, but the great thing is, you can say, hey Siri go to my Apple Music, or hey Siri call 📱 Mum or whoever you want to call. Thanks, we have been very pleased.
Oh and if anyone keeps getting a message on the dash, coolant level to low, it’s probably a small leak on the pipes as they are renowned for this issue, but I’ve had my latest Jag for 10 months and mine came up about a month in, intermittent at first then more often, then most of the time, I looked and kept an eye on temp gauge that was normal, finally but the bullet as I had purchased coolant to carry just in case, topped it up, light gone!
So that’s how small the leak can be, but it’s removed that annoying message and red light.
Other issues learned from my other jags, different messages on dash, could be the Earth connections on the front just under bonnet above wide cowl that spans the front, poor screws that again are a recognised issue.
Cheers DG New Forest UK
Thanks for the advice there David, lots of helpful information shared.
Thank you so much. I have 2006 xj8 vanden plas. I keep see coolant level low and yet there is enough water. Do ignore the sign/warning?
That bt adapter is a great invention
They work great!
Just got a cassette with cord in it at Best Buy and an iPhone dongle for 20.00 bucks. Music is no longer an issue
That does the trick too!
There are cassette that don’t use wires and are fully Bluetooth now I have them on my both x308 and x350
Wow this is good to know! Thanks for sharing!
These are game changers! I have several of these for my cars include the Jag.
For the longest time I was riding around using the 6 disc changer in the Jag which wasn't bad. It forced me to drive around and listen to a select set of CDs which gave that throwback classic vibe and I still will sometimes choose to not use the Bluetooth just for that feeling of nostalgia but this is a great modern feature to have.
Question: Do you get any feedback from the supercharger whine?
I do. As you accelerate you can hear it through the speakers
So true about being a game changer! I don’t really get any feedback. Have you tried different FM stations by chance?
@@LowTechGarage No. I'll try that.
Question I have phone controls on wheel and stereo does that work as blue tooth too
Those were only for the built in carphone. It won’t work for bluetooth
The FM transmitters I've always used had a annoying high-pitched whine. (I haven't used them in a while)
Does that honestly work good?
I haven’t experienced that whine with the one I’m using.
@@LowTechGarage Thank you.
I have an MC Hammer cassette, and it’s better than having Bluetooth.
I can’t argue with that!
are you able to make phone calls through your Bluetooth adapter.?.
Yes you can 🙂
I also use an FM transmitter - I blew all my speakers lol
You should check out our speaker repair video. It may help you!
God loves you guys!

people who own jaguars don't listen to music. they talk to themselves about money making ideas while they drive
hahahahah
