For the 2025 model year, Honda introduces the Civic Hybrid, enhancing its long-standing Civic lineup with hybrid technology to compete more effectively with the Toyota Corolla Hybrid and the Prius. Following a strategy similar to the Accord and CR-V, Honda has diversified the Civic's powertrains across different trims, offering gas-only models (LX and Sport) as well as hybrid options (Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid). The Civic is celebrated for its sportiness, affordability, and optimal size, attributes that continue with the introduction of the hybrid models. The focus here is on the new hybrid powertrain, available in both hatchback and sedan versions of the Civic.

This is the perfect car for most people. Simple controls, adequate power, good passenger room, fantastic fuel economy, solid driving manner, a reasonable price, and strong reliability.
I'd be absolutely interested. If it were more luxurious like a Mazda then it would be perfect. Nice interior but not near luxury like Mazda. Mazda desperately needs to release anequally fuel efficient hybrid Mazda 3 and CX50.
Reasonable price? Sure. …SURE
I've wanted a Civic Hatch Hybrid that wasn't sluggish like other hybrids for the past 15 years. Honda is always two steps behind in the hybrid space ever since the Prius became popular almost 20 years ago, and following in that tradition, they release this car two years after Toyota finally releases an updated Prius with the power and looks to make the average consumer want to own it. I also see no features in this new Honda that haven't been on a Honda for years, and the looks, while hardly ugly, are really just ok. I'm still interested in seeing the Honda EPA ratings, and I wonder if the space in the hatch might be a bit more generous than that of the Prius. Perhaps the Honda ride and handling will also be better? Ultimately, however, it may be the price and availability of the Honda hatch that drives me in that direction. I really do like the gas/electric plug in hybrid of the Prime, though.
More practical than an EV
This about to sell like crazy
If it drives the cost down for the true Kings of Hybrids, Prius and Corolla, I'll be happy. Competition is good for the consumer.
How about battery capacity and warranty?
Why do I get the feeling that the higher trims are going to touch $40k
Yea I wouldn’t be surprised. You could get these sedans for mid $20s fully loaded just roughly 4/5 years ago.
50,000 Euro in Ireland.
It's supposed to be a great car but I'll never know.
@@whatskrakin37 exactly! The SI was $24k MSRP and now it’s $30k without mark ups
Honda has become ruthless with their pricing. I mean all cars are expensive these days but Honda twists the dagger a bit more than other car manufacturers.
That's insane... Especially with no AWD option. Lots of power has no purpose if you cant get traction here in the rust belt!
I hope they put the EX rims on the LX
Corolla Hybrid sedan at those low prices is the best value!
Civic Hatchback Hybrid is the best looking and most functional.
Civic Hatchback for the win!
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada home of the honda manufacturing plant in Alliston Ontario north of Toronto Canada home of the crv and civic sedan thanks for the presentation
The legs, the legs.
Thicc.
Yes those wheels are nice
Unfortunately, Honda decided to cookie-cut the hybrid: no fog lights, rear vents, driver seat pocket, usb, soft upper door trim, and no power lift=gate, lumbar support, heated steering wheel, vented seats, pano roof, or 360 view screen. Honda did this for maximum profits, not thinking about 2025 American buyers
Why won’t Honda make Civic AWD? Especially hatchback AWD will be awesome and gain market share from Subaru.
People will nitpick about the smallest things 😂
I just got done watching a Toyota commercial 🙈
Bye Bye 1.5t
Not sure why Honda in their infinite wisdom think if we want a hybrid, we have to have a sunroof. Some of us don't. SMH
I'd rather have AWD than a moonroof any day of the week here in Minnesota!
You don't have to buy this specific car
2025 car still using halogen turn signals… pathetic
They work, so what's the issue?
I got 50 mpg in the 80s on most Japanese cars that I had owned, many of them with carburetors….didn’t have much complexity and electronics…just need household tools to fix them when needed. This NEW Honda is a failure in my opinion.
Gahh dang. Fck the Si. Ill take this shit instead
