    I love everything about this laptop. I have been using MacBook Pros exclusively and this is the first windows laptop ever that has won me over when compared to Mac. The screen clarity and colour depth is finally on par to mac retina display, the performance and quality of hardware directly compared to the price of a mac is much better and the performance is fantastic. Battery life is amazing considering what you're able to do (photoshop, CAD etc) and how long it lasts. The versatility of the device itself, the fluidity in the transformation of the purpose of the device. The detail in having the screen magnetised to a point just above the touchpad is beautiful. love that when the screen is all the way down, you don't have the keyboard underneath it like you do with other older PC models. Even the rubber detailing and framing wit the screens different positional purposes is fantastic. Not to mention the amazing space on the underside for keeping the computer cool through a generous sized fan which is quiet and efficient. Reallly, really cleverly designed computer.
    The only thing that really gets to me in a bad way about this laptop is the charging port. I hate that its based on these puny little contact points and is a magnetic connection. I've had nothing but issues with trying to get it to just connect and charge. It's SO fiddly! I have swapped chargers over twice already and it's still dicky. for a 4k laptop I would expect a charging port with a more substantial connection or at least have a larger contact point. There's only these three tiny exposed contacts on each corner. I wouldn't be as annoyed with it as I am if there hadn't been multiple times where I've plugged it in to charge and made sure it was charging before leaving it overnight (ready for a days work) only to find I have no battery and the charge was somehow disrupted or the connection to the laptop lost. Drives me crazy! Have other people had this issue?

      @MarkusGebauer 5 месяцев назад +1

      I didn't have this issue yet, but you can always go and charge your device by using the USB-C port. Make sure, though, that your charger and cable are powerful enough. 60 Watts work with mine.

    I’m a Zbrush user and I’d have a hobbled setup I take with me using a 16” Huion Screen with a MacBook Pro. How does the screen work when compared to a Wacom Screen? I use a 24” Cintiq at home, and as much as I loved my Huion, the screen now has a dead spot probably due to travel. I hear good things about the Surface, and I could get used to the glass screen as I use my iPad Pro for 3d sketching with Nomad 3d. The price would be worth it to me to make my setup more compact and not have to worry about the screen getting damaged. Just looking to hear from a fellow professional. Thanks

    Trackpad is almost same as MBP, screen quality is almost same as MBP, keyboard is better than MBP (no oily scratches on screen), battery performance is not good as MBP but easily makes the day. I don't use my 16 MBP M2 since I got this beauty.

    I needed to get a laptop early this year that'd allow me paint directly on it with a stylus without getting additional gear, this was my number 1 option but I was so disappointed when Microsoft didn't bring out this laptop early and are targetting the later end of the year. Now I'm stuck with the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 which I like but would have 100% preferred a newer Surface Studio Laptop.
    Anyone know if it is possible to trade in this laptop for the new SSL when it is out? because I'd gladly do so.

    Sadly I gave up waiting and bought the SLS maxed out for my content creating business. Everything about it is amazing besides the 11th gen processor...
    After seeing so many performance tests with 12th and 13th gen H series processors, I honest wished MS updated this laptop when they updated the SP and SL.

    • @thatdragon7791
      @thatdragon7791 Год назад +1

      I agree. But rn i'm a student at BSSSC and they use stylus compatable laptops for the students schoolwork, I bought a SP8 for school and It just overheats and cannot run the necessary programs, they just crash. I was wondering If the SLS would be a good choice for school because i'm going into year nine next year and I am doing media arts and going to run some heavy programs and SP's can't run.

    • @vueeyle7162
      @vueeyle7162 Год назад +3

      @@thatdragon7791 That's fair! That is the same reason why I bought the SLS is for the pen support. As much as I am impressed with M1 & M2 Apple Silicon performance, the lack of a stylus kills it for me (I don't want to carry multiple devices either).
      So far, the SLS seems to perform well with a decent amount of thermal headroom.
      I haven't seen the processor go beyond 80'C while under load.
      Only thing I notice is the CPU still throttle it's performance when not connected to a Charger. This however can be tricked if you use a powerful battery bank too while on the go.

      @@alloshiq1192 Honestly - I believe there will be. There's been some talk about a Studio laptop device. But from the trend I see with MS - it'll probably be released by the end of this year with 12th Gen...
      For some reason, MS always come out with previous gen hardware. I assume because they take so long to release it - even when hardware are finalised.
      But hopefully they can surprise us with 13th Gen with H series of processors.
