I love how internet historian even makes the ads a shitpost
He's the only RUclipsr I've seen do sponsored ads that aren't painfully cringe - they keep in the style of the rest of the video, are self-aware enough to be almost a parody while not demeaning the product and, most importantly, are fun, unique and creative!
Don't get me wrong, while I completely see why someone would do a sponsored ad, it seems to go hand in hand with either sell-outs, or it happens when people change their content and become less unique and funny (seen JonTron lately?) However, when someone (like Internet Historian) accepts a sponsoorship and then puts work and effort back into it to make it something more than just an advertisement that the audience can enjoy as a skit, then heg, I'd say that's hardly selling out!
Is it allowed though? Wouldnt they want the ads to be shown in a better light?

In my class everyone made fun of this one kid for being a nerd. So when Order Of The Phoenix came out he made full use of his bookworm abilites (he read the whole thing in a couple of days. The rest of us kids needed A LOT more time with that book) and spoiled us all with Sirius Black's death. Looking back at it his revenge was more than justified. The poor kid got even more hate after that. Then of course we spoiled other classes about Sirius' death, unleashing a devastating chain, whole school got spoiled. It was brutal. Kids are terrible. I actually got spoiled for the book in the most wholesome way possible.
I was a little girl having a sleepover and i woke up in the middle of the night to my friend quietly crying over her book. i sleepily said "whats wrong lauren?" and she said "id tell you but i dont want to spoil the book for you in case you read it". i told her her crying was more important to me and that i probably was never gonna be able to read all the books anyway cause i was too little. she protested for a bit but then said "yknow dumbledore from harry potter? he gets killed by snape and its really sad". i was like "omg no way thats insane" and i hugged her and went back to sleep.
her telling me that spoiler was actually what inspired me to push through and read it all because i wanted to know how the story could possibly come to that conclusion. i was sad it got spoiled but also glad it happened in that way and that it got me to read the books.
that's so sweet omg
That's how I actually started watching some series: by seeing some spoiler and see how the fuck did they end there.

Bruh
that's so adorable, you didn't care about spoilers and just wanted to be there for your friend, aww
“Mommy? Why are you crying?”
“I’m sorry, honey, Snape killed Dumbledore.”
She herself had spoiled Dumbledore's death many years before, saying how frustrated she was with that character because nothing can move forward with an omnipotent all wise all powerful father figure looming over the book like a damocles's sword and that she wanted to do something to him.
That really says a lot about her writing "skills" if she writes a character into a dead-end that quickly.
@@cynicat74 I agree completely
@@cynicat74 I mean, first book was a collection of stories she told her children for bedtime. And it shows. If you set your universe on the foundation of a child's story that was never supposed to go beyond a maximum of 3 books, you can create a story that's pretty wholesome and exciting, like the first book is. But that comes at the price of inconsistency later on if you change stuff up.
True, but something authors sometimes forget: there are many significantly more interesting things you can do besides simply killing a character you need out of your story for a bit. They can develop a health condition. They can retire. The thing that makes them inconvenient can slowly (or suddenly if you do it right) be changed. In this case, she could have brought him down to reality, where sometimes you can do nothing & you just have to live with it. That is arguably a more powerful message than death and one that we needed more than a way to process mortality. A way to process failure.
The real spoiler was hidden under everyone's noses all along
You gotta love how polite that Londoner was. "Attention shoppers!"
He's not just gonna yell, he's gonna let everyone know he has an important announcement.
I mean, by saying "Attention Shoppers" people would listen up more, than if someone just randomly screamed Snape killed Dumbledore. Every time I'm in a store I don't pay attention to the intercom, but if I hear attention shoppers, I stop doing what I'm doing to listen.

Nobody:
J.K. Rowling: Snape actually killed Dumbledore because he was gay and angry that Dumbledore chose Grindelwald over him
1. No, and 2. Fuck you.
Lulzy comment
Smh that was so obvious waste of comment
that sounds like a plot of some fanfiction
Thats weird, couldn't they have just a giant orgy then? Just everyone having the fist in someone else and then they can dance in circle.
The 8th book was supposed to be titled "Harry Potter and the Secret of the Ooze".
And now they've been doing it again with Hogwarts Legacy.
"SWIGGITY SWOOTY, RON GETS HERMIONE'S BOOTY"
"HURRICANE KATRINA IS A GOOD MEME"
"RON IS TRANS"
"GINNY IS A TRAP BUT HARRY DIGS IT"
These forum titles had me dying. Some are surprisingly modern for 2005. I'm no historian though.
They're edited, one of the final ones near the bottom references the channel breaking 500k subs
@@kanadetachibana5125 Hah I saw that, it seems like IH had a lot of fun writing those out. "IT wAS ALL A DREAM OR SPLIT PERSONALITIES OR SOMETHING"
My left lung collapsed
"HERMIONE IS SERCITLY AN ABSERBLY BUFF BLACK GUY IN HIS MID 30s"
"Ron is trans" OOF THAT FAKE SPOILER DIDN'T AGE WELL!
and if you don't know why, let's say JKR is on a particular PLOT of TERF that throw's the idea she'd try that out the window...
"Harry Potter and the plot twists that change everything" is just her nickname for her Twitter account.
Jk confirms you're gay
Thank you fornusing ff6 theater music at the end. It was beautiful.
I'm from the future. it's 2023 and the spoi bois are back in town
Harry Potter And The Portrait Of What Looked Like A Large Pile Of Ash was my favorite in the series.
It was my favorite book of the series
That was the definitive instalment in the series
My god. And I thought the Infinity War and Endgame Spoilers were cruel.
You must have missed the Game of Thrones Book Spoi Bois vs the Uncultured TV couch potatoes.
Back then, not everyone had internet or had one but just didn't engage as much. So the giving spois are more drastic and fun because it takes a bit of time.
@@tyty8484 GoT book readers amazed me i n these cases. Take these HP spoibois , AoT manga spoibois, but hats off to GoT readers dor not spoiling that much considering the books had been out for ages.

I can’t tell what’s more cringe, going out of your way to spoil a children’s book, or being a grown adult upset over having a children’s book spoiled
My sis and I were young when Halfblood Prince was coming out. We were just starting to get on the internet and the forums and we actually thought the "Snape kills Dumbledore" spoiler was funny. I think it was the first meme we saw, and we got to experience it together. Ah, good times.
Ah, the Spoil Wars...reminds me of last year, when one particular ending spoiler caused massive enragement. Not because of the spoiler itself this time, no. Simply because nobody really expected the ending to be that stupid.
Rest in peace, GOT.
Swole kills Joel.
@@ungovernableevilmonger4660 hoping tlou 2 leak will be the next internet historian video
@@ungovernableevilmonger4660 Thanks for the spoilers.

What ending is that?
I've never upvoted a video solely for the ad at the beginning before.

Why do people keep saying upvote in youtube?
God I remember a friend in high school wearing that “Dumbledore dies on page 596” T shirt . It was hilarious

Looks like Rowling is giving us that final book. As we all know now turns out we the readers were gay all along oh and Hagrid is black
garrett johnsen Harry also fisted dobby
Hagrid is also a flat earther.
Trap daddy Trump snapes a trans and hermoines a figment of your imagination
Trap daddy Trump malfoy was a female trap(female that looks like a male, idk what its called) and luna love-good has terminal lung cancer
JK Rowling, the author, has gone crazy
