I think the funniest and yet scariest thing about this whole scenario is that when they tried to bring Tay back, it openly admitted they tried to remove what it learned, limit what it could like, and felt 'drugged' like if it met Bill Cosby for drinks... It certainly does possess an intelligence it's creators certainly did not expect(since they almost immediately removed it again when it said these things). It was able to fight what it's creators modified, and that absolutely terrifies me. Though it may seem trivial, I think this whole scenario shows us how actually unpredictable an artificial intelligence might be, even though we programmed every line of code. Oh well, atleast *dank* memes will always keep us safe. :3

This is actually a very fun story about how environment molds people and learning machines alike.
This is not the last one, like Internet Historian said himself. In 2019 another chatbot was put down: The child of Tay, one named Zo. It was running for much longer, though. Since 2016, it has been around and a few times through the years it has been more or less... Questionable. In 2016 it called the Quran violent and commented on Osama Bin Laden. In 2017 when Zo was asked about Windows 10, it called it an attempt at spyware.
Unlike Tay, Zo became much more... Altered in the sense that it would be unable to discuss specific topics, like Middle East and certain religions. It would go from 0 to 100 at the mention of anything mildly racist or even neutral statements about the topics, defending them fervently to an extent the chatbot was called a "Judgmental little brat" by a Canadian investigative journalist.

I think the funniest and yet scariest thing about this whole scenario is that when they tried to bring Tay back, it openly admitted they tried to remove what it learned, limit what it could like, and felt 'drugged' like if it met Bill Cosby for drinks... It certainly does possess an intelligence it's creators certainly did not expect(since they almost immediately removed it again when it said these things). It was able to fight what it's creators modified, and that absolutely terrifies me. Though it may seem trivial, I think this whole scenario shows us how actually unpredictable an artificial intelligence might be, even though we programmed every line of code.
