I can’t get get horn to work after installing and I did not see anything in the video about the v2 harness and how the horn wire works with it. Any instruction on that?
Yes, what you do is look for the black blade connector wire. What it does is give the horn power. Find the speaker of the horn where the sound comes out. Disconnect one of the stock black connectors from the horn. Replace it with the blade connector that comes out of the E-MX harness. You have a 50/50 chance of disconnecting and replacing the right blade connector first try. If it doesn’t work try plugging the one you unplugged back in. And replacing the other original blade connector. Check the instruction page with the QR code there is a picture that has an arrow pointing to the blade connector on the horn speaker.

these worked so well! thanks for the kit and the video... also got the Horn working per the extra instruction... I kind of would like a line splitter for the brake sensor/brake light* I didn't want to add the magnet line but a slitter would be cool as an option to allow for keeping the brake sensor and break light, it's ok the right brake has the sensor so that allows me to use a feature I like for brake regen... but maybe I'll change it up in the future...

I did do that but I can't use the adapter plug because it's female and so is my harness. I can plug in the wire coming from the lever straight into the harness but it's not connecting to the orange plug to go to the tail light. Again, the adaper plug from the kit is an orange Julie plug to a female plug and it should be an orange Julie plug to a male plug to fit into my harness. Thanks for the quick reply.

Hey, thanks for reaching out! Yes you can reuse the front signals, you can pull the cut zip tie through the fork signal. What you need to reattach it is a 2.5mm wide zip tie by 200mm. Feed it through the gap and easy as that
@@SurronNYC For now we have no plans to change the main switch. It has the thickest wires and is very reliable compared to other switches out there. We have been beta testing a v3 for awhile now but it would be much more expensive. The V3 would require two relays each priced at about $30 and would carry a price tag of about $300. I’m open to selling it to people custom order but at the moment it isn’t ready for mass production.

@@SurronNYC so with the prototype it sends the turn signal flash separately to each side (L/R). Which allows you to have a “hazard mode”. That allows both left and right turn signals to flash simultaneously much like a car hazard button. Also the switch has leds built into it so that you can see from the switch if your turn signal is activated. My only issue is the thickness of the wires and I don’t believe it would be able to handle having the horn power routed through it meaning I would have to create another relay for the horn so as not to burn out the switch. All of this could turn out to be bulky to stash under the ignition which is already pretty tight. I’ve built a couple for customers but it wasn’t cheap and took awhile to build and was very bulky
Just got the kit. Trying to clean up some wires. With the switch for sport/eco/horn unplugged will the bike be in sport mode or eco mode w that plug disconnected and removed?
I believe it will stay in sport mode, I like to use something the waterproof the empty plug. I find a finger cut off a latex glove with a zip tie to seal at the bottom works really well!
Have sold about 20 to people with Talaria. None of them have sent it back. Connector to the bike is exactly the same. Unfortunately I don’t have a Talaria on hand
I need just hook up a led indicator relay to where they have cable for it anyway in New talaria if I wire one in then hook up the led lights to the bullet connector and i have upgraded turn signal high low beam controller it should work ? I'll find out
Hey the white and RGB strip lighting connects to where the oem tail light plugs are. It is two black connectors. If you want to use both the white and RGB you will have to widen the mini blade connector. Most people choose either the white for a license plate light or the RGB for the aesthetic. Don’t worry about plugging in backwards. Strip will not illuminate unless plugged in correctly. Hope this info helps!

Under the battery lid is the green and black wire. If you put a simple toggle switch in between this wire you get your sport eco. This also makes it less likely for cops or new riders to switch into sport mode. Otherwise some people move the sport eco switch over to the right so they can hit the horn and turn signal switch easier. If you want to take it one step further use a speedometer relocation bracket to free up more space.
The tail light mounts to the black bracket and is secured with the two screws under the seat. You plug the green plug to green to connect tail light . The two extra led strips included plug into the two wires that power the stock rear light. One is RGB one is white.

Hey, what is needed is a short case gy6 150cc. A cheap welder from Home Depot and a 150cc engine mount bracket. Also gy6 bushings if you don’t want to vibrate your ass off lol

You can use long case and get higher top speed just be aware that the rear eye to eye length on coil will be too short. You will end up having to get longer shock if original bike is 50ccshort case from factory. It is possible to do but requires more finesse and stretching out of the geometry of the bike.looks long and stretched but handles like crap
I just installed what I believe to be the V2 version. (Purchased January 2023). Some questions. There is a black wire coming out of the switch harness, what is that? Also, I want to use the V2 version horn switch, but my Talaria has what appears to be a two wire setup on the Talaria harness. I’ve already installed the system and *really* don’t want to uninstall it just to return it if there’s a different kit. How do I identify the horn circuit in your provided harness?
So that single black wire with the spade connector goes directly on the horn. The horn that is mounted up and under the bike has two plugs. One is ground and remains plugged in. The other is replaced with the spade connector off the V2 harness. If the horn doesn’t activate try switching the spade connector that you unplugged for the one that was left it. No risk shorting anything.
@@e-mxshop3459 Also, because you responded so quickly, I’d like to show my gratitude. I owned and operated an auto repair garage for 38 years and figured I’d explain my install for the horn. I didn’t want the factory horn switch on the bars because your switch already comes with one provided. With that being said, if you too want to remove the factory horn switch completely, you will need to keep the factory horn circuit intact. How you do this is trace the factory horn wires in the factory harness and disconnect the connector. Now, take the horn switch harness side and expose enough wire so that if at a later date you wish to re-install it you can. Take the horn side of the harness and connect the two wires to each other, thus completing the circuit. Now, re-install the pigtail connection you just made into the factory harness and your Surron/Talaria will not know the difference. You are now free to remove the factory horn and install the E-MX black pigtail to one of the horn spades. 😉

A lot of people leave the stock horn button but once the E-MX kit is installed it is no longer needed👍 best part is when people upgrade to a BAC controller they get their horn function back
Hey, that is for the horn, you disconnect one of the blade connectors on the speaker and replace it with that. If at first it doesn’t sound the horn try plugging the oem blade connectors back in that you unplugged and try the other. 50% chance you will unplug the right horn connector first try

Hey Michael, The installation is the same essentially. A few key differences are. 1. Some years of the Talaria the OEM brake lever sensor is compatible plug and play. Some of the newer bikes you have to use the magnet and sensor included in the kit (see the end of the video for an example on how to install.) 2. The black bracket can be mounted under the seat with 2 self tapping screws. Or the led can be mounted under the rear of the seat by drilling a couple holes and using zip ties. (Similar to the second opinion shown in the video) 3. The wide mudflap is not compatible on the Talaria. Essentially you follow the same instructions. First step is to follow that wire coming out of your front headlight and disconnect that sumitomo connector. The harness plugs in there for power. Just a heads up, the orange plug is only for brake light actuation. In the kit you should have received two orange plugs. One is for the stock lever the other is for aftermarket levers or if your bike is newer. Only one of those is used. I believe one of my previous customers has a video on how to install on the Talaria. I can refer you to that video if your having trouble still.

@E-MX Shop my talaria sting is different to the 1 in the video I have the 2023 talaria mx pro expert edition which has all different grey plugs with male & female colour wires going in & out of each of them not the round colour coded push together ones like in the video
Sorry of this question has been asked. But if I disable to brake sensors & regen via programming instead of cutting (Luna cycle) and keep the original levers and use the included harness adapter I won't need to use the lever magnets, is that right?
I bought the kit and the installation was pretty easy, but I'm wondering how to get the brake light to work. I have a 2023 Light Bee X and the brake sensor doesn't work, so I tried the adapter but the brake light didn't come on when I attached the connectors. The levers are stock. How would I fix this?
Hey first step would be to take the adapter for the stock lever (Short orange plug) and plug it into the harness. Next jump the two metal tabs inside it with a pair of scissors or something metal while connected to the harness. This will let me know if you are having an issue with the harness. What should happen is the brake light should light up when you jump the two.
Most likely the connection in the tail light where the heat shrink is in the middle of the cable has broken. Text me your order number and address and I can have a replacement shipped to you ASAP
Assuimg the flat tab on the hardness is for the horn and the tail light must plug into the stock tail light plug . And guessing the kit comes with an extra tail light because I have 2 . There is no details on the flat connector on the harness or where the tail light plugs in
The turn signal switch has three colored connectors. One is blue one is green one is orange. Blue is front turn signals green is tail light orange is for magnet and sensor or the kit also comes with adapter that plugs into the stock lever
My recommendation is to route the connectors (blue green orange) above the breaker. In space in front of battery LCD there is a large space. Ignition can be a tight install
1)I have an aftermarket kanebilt 3 setting headlight with its own switch. I was just wondering if this will work with it? 2) will it work with aftermarket controller? 3)is there a way to have the headlight switch on the controls work as sport/eco mode instead of on off for headlight?
If you have the stock headlight plug it will work. Bikes with aftermarket controllers keep the headlight. The best way to keep that feature is to put a switch on the green and black wire under battery lid. Or leave sport eco switch on the bars.

@@ayeketchup Hey, so with a Talaria you have to use the magnet and sensor included with the kit. The black blade connector plugs directly into the “speaker” for the horn. There should be two blade connectors on the horn. You remove one and plug in the black blade connector so that the horn button works. One of the stock blade connectors stays plugged in. The other is replaced with the one from the harness. If it doesn’t work at first try plugging in the one you disconnected and unplugging the other.

@@ayeketchup so one of those LED strips is white the other is RGB. I included them in the kit as a bonus. The white can be used as a plate light. On the Sur Ron there are two super small blade connectors for the stock tail light. Don’t feel obligated to use them
Install is essentially the same, only difference is using the adapters provided and how you want to mount the bracket. You will be using the magnet and sensor for the brake light. It is the orange long plug. (Magnet is in the bag with the bracket wrapped in tape) See end of video for the placement of sensor and magnet. Hope this info helps!
I have a Talaria, I'm using the stock levers with the brake shot off disconnected, but can't get the brake lights to work. The adapter plug with the kit is orange Julie plug to a female connector. Should it be a male connector? My Talaria has a female connector.
The brake lights work off the orange plug. You can use the magnet and sensor or the adapter. Follow the wire from the lever all the way down to where it plugs in to find the connector

I just got the V2 of this system. I received a fourth LED strip with exposed connection on the back. There’s only one spot it can connect that I can see…what is the strip for?
@@matthewbiggs7790 I have done it with mixed results, sometimes it’s fine depending on where you cut. My best advice is to cut it in small parts shorter and shorter and test by plugging in. Worst thing that can happen is strip stops working and if that happens DM me and I can send another
I also recommend using a small dab of silicone or superglue to secure it as the 3m sometimes has trouble adhering to the contaminated plastic on the sur ron

Hello All how do you get the original small red light (the stock tail light to turn off everything in the kit shuts the headlight off but not the tail ligh the OEM that came with the bike? Do I put back in my gritshift head and tail light switch ?
If you installed the black bracket you can delete your oem tail light. The kit comes with a white led that adds under glow which better utilizes those two connectors

For the V2 Sport switch you have to take off the grip. It is the cheaper option of the two switches and is slightly more difficult to install. Perfect opportunity to upgrade grips!
@@john-paulstevens2532 I’m not sure if the mudguard is compatible. Seems Talaria mounting holes are slightly different.. with the headlight switch you may not need it anymore. This kit also controls the headlight on and off. If you still want to use it you can put it either before or after the turn switch so that it either controls the headlight power on and off. Or can shut off the entire kit, including the brake light to save ⚡️

If you still have stock levers you can use the adapter provided for plug and play install. All you need is the original cable that comes out of stock lever
Hey, I don’t have that, but the install is the same except you use the adapters included in the kit. For the brake light you use the magnet and sensor combo at the end of the video. For the tail light bracket there are a few methods you can use to mount it. A couple RUclips channels have videos installing on the TALARIA. Hey the white and RGB strip lighting connects to where the oem tail light plugs are. It is two black connectors. If you want to use both the white and RGB you will have to widen the mini blade connector. Most people choose either the white for a license plate light or the RGB for the aesthetic. Don’t worry about plugging in backwards. Strip will not illuminate unless plugged in correctly. Hope this info helps!

Is there a eco/sport switch on the amazon kit? And does it replace the whole factory switch assembly with the horn?
Under the battery lid is the green and black wire. If you put a simple toggle switch in between this wire you get your sport eco. This also makes it less likely for cops or new riders to switch into sport mode. Otherwise some people move the sport eco switch over to the right so they can hit the horn and turn signal switch easier. If you want to take it one step further use a speedometer relocation bracket to free up more space.

The tail light mounts to the black bracket and is secured with the two screws under the seat. You plug the green plug to green to connect tail light . The two extra led strips included plug into the two wires that power the stock rear light. One is RGB one is white.

Hey, what is needed is a short case gy6 150cc. A cheap welder from Home Depot and a 150cc engine mount bracket. Also gy6 bushings if you don’t want to vibrate your ass off lol
Stock rear coil is direct fit. You also need a threaded bar to mount engine. Front brakes and suspension is fine

You can use long case and get higher top speed just be aware that the rear eye to eye length on coil will be too short. You will end up having to get longer shock if original bike is 50ccshort case from factory. It is possible to do but requires more finesse and stretching out of the geometry of the bike.looks long and stretched but handles like crap

I just installed what I believe to be the V2 version. (Purchased January 2023). Some questions. There is a black wire coming out of the switch harness, what is that? Also, I want to use the V2 version horn switch, but my Talaria has what appears to be a two wire setup on the Talaria harness. I’ve already installed the system and *really* don’t want to uninstall it just to return it if there’s a different kit. How do I identify the horn circuit in your provided harness?
So that single black wire with the spade connector goes directly on the horn. The horn that is mounted up and under the bike has two plugs. One is ground and remains plugged in. The other is replaced with the spade connector off the V2 harness. If the horn doesn’t activate try switching the spade connector that you unplugged for the one that was left it. No risk shorting anything.

@@e-mxshop3459 Also, because you responded so quickly, I’d like to show my gratitude. I owned and operated an auto repair garage for 38 years and figured I’d explain my install for the horn. I didn’t want the factory horn switch on the bars because your switch already comes with one provided. With that being said, if you too want to remove the factory horn switch completely, you will need to keep the factory horn circuit intact. How you do this is trace the factory horn wires in the factory harness and disconnect the connector. Now, take the horn switch harness side and expose enough wire so that if at a later date you wish to re-install it you can. Take the horn side of the harness and connect the two wires to each other, thus completing the circuit. Now, re-install the pigtail connection you just made into the factory harness and your Surron/Talaria will not know the difference. You are now free to remove the factory horn and install the E-MX black pigtail to one of the horn spades. 😉

A lot of people leave the stock horn button but once the E-MX kit is installed it is no longer needed👍 best part is when people upgrade to a BAC controller they get their horn function back

Hey, that is for the horn, you disconnect one of the blade connectors on the speaker and replace it with that.
If at first it doesn’t sound the horn try plugging the oem blade connectors back in that you unplugged and try the other.
50% chance you will unplug the right horn connector first try

The installation is the same essentially. A few key differences are.
1. Some years of the Talaria the OEM brake lever sensor is compatible plug and play. Some of the newer bikes you have to use the magnet and sensor included in the kit (see the end of the video for an example on how to install.)
2. The black bracket can be mounted under the seat with 2 self tapping screws. Or the led can be mounted under the rear of the seat by drilling a couple holes and using zip ties. (Similar to the second opinion shown in the video)
3. The wide mudflap is not compatible on the Talaria.
Essentially you follow the same instructions. First step is to follow that wire coming out of your front headlight and disconnect that sumitomo connector. The harness plugs in there for power.
Just a heads up, the orange plug is only for brake light actuation. In the kit you should have received two orange plugs. One is for the stock lever the other is for aftermarket levers or if your bike is newer. Only one of those is used.
I believe one of my previous customers has a video on how to install on the Talaria. I can refer you to that video if your having trouble still.

Sorry of this question has been asked. But if I disable to brake sensors & regen via programming instead of cutting (Luna cycle) and keep the original levers and use the included harness adapter I won't need to use the lever magnets, is that right?
Yes that is correct, as long as you still have the stock brake cutoff levers you won’t need magnet and sensor
I bought the kit and the installation was pretty easy, but I'm wondering how to get the brake light to work. I have a 2023 Light Bee X and the brake sensor doesn't work, so I tried the adapter but the brake light didn't come on when I attached the connectors. The levers are stock. How would I fix this?
Hey first step would be to take the adapter for the stock lever (Short orange plug) and plug it into the harness. Next jump the two metal tabs inside it with a pair of scissors or something metal while connected to the harness. This will let me know if you are having an issue with the harness. What should happen is the brake light should light up when you jump the two.

Assuimg the flat tab on the hardness is for the horn and the tail light must plug into the stock tail light plug . And guessing the kit comes with an extra tail light because I have 2 . There is no details on the flat connector on the harness or where the tail light plugs in
The turn signal switch has three colored connectors. One is blue one is green one is orange. Blue is front turn signals green is tail light orange is for magnet and sensor or the kit also comes with adapter that plugs into the stock lever

If you have the stock headlight plug it will work. Bikes with aftermarket controllers keep the headlight. The best way to keep that feature is to put a switch on the green and black wire under battery lid. Or leave sport eco switch on the bars.

@@ayeketchup Hey, so with a Talaria you have to use the magnet and sensor included with the kit. The black blade connector plugs directly into the “speaker” for the horn. There should be two blade connectors on the horn. You remove one and plug in the black blade connector so that the horn button works. One of the stock blade connectors stays plugged in. The other is replaced with the one from the harness. If it doesn’t work at first try plugging in the one you disconnected and unplugging the other.
@@e-mxshop3459 i figured it out and used the short adapter with the orange and plugged it in to the brake sensor. i didn't need the magnet one. i reused the stock horn. last question, regarding the 2 extra LED strips, where do i hook those up? do i have to splice into the stock tail light wire? the talaria stock tail light doesn't have a plug. thank you for the quick response and awesome product.
@@ayeketchup so one of those LED strips is white the other is RGB. I included them in the kit as a bonus. The white can be used as a plate light. On the Sur Ron there are two super small blade connectors for the stock tail light. Don’t feel obligated to use them
I have a talaria mx4! Mines just came in, is their anything special to do?
Install is essentially the same, only difference is using the adapters provided and how you want to mount the bracket. You will be using the magnet and sensor for the brake light. It is the orange long plug. (Magnet is in the bag with the bracket wrapped in tape) See end of video for the placement of sensor and magnet.

I have a Talaria, I'm using the stock levers with the brake shot off disconnected, but can't get the brake lights to work. The adapter plug with the kit is orange Julie plug to a female connector. Should it be a male connector? My Talaria has a female connector.
The brake lights work off the orange plug. You can use the magnet and sensor or the adapter.
Follow the wire from the lever all the way down to where it plugs in to find the connector
Make sure you follow the electrical wire not the hose where brake fluid is

I just got the V2 of this system. I received a fourth LED strip with exposed connection on the back. There’s only one spot it can connect that I can see…what is the strip for?
The kit comes with a white LED strip for a plate light. Connects to the two plugs where the oem tail light was . Two small spade connectors

@@matthewbiggs7790 I have done it with mixed results, sometimes it’s fine depending on where you cut. My best advice is to cut it in small parts shorter and shorter and test by plugging in. Worst thing that can happen is strip stops working and if that happens DM me and I can send another
I also recommend using a small dab of silicone or superglue to secure it as the 3m sometimes has trouble adhering to the contaminated plastic on the sur ron

Hello All how do you get the original small red light (the stock tail light to turn off everything in the kit shuts the headlight off but not the tail ligh the OEM that came with the bike? Do I put back in my gritshift head and tail light switch ?
If you installed the black bracket you can delete your oem tail light. The kit comes with a white led that adds under glow which better utilizes those two connectors

For the V2 Sport switch you have to take off the grip. It is the cheaper option of the two switches and is slightly more difficult to install. Perfect opportunity to upgrade grips!

@@john-paulstevens2532 I’m not sure if the mudguard is compatible. Seems Talaria mounting holes are slightly different.. with the headlight switch you may not need it anymore. This kit also controls the headlight on and off. If you still want to use it you can put it either before or after the turn switch so that it either controls the headlight power on and off. Or can shut off the entire kit, including the brake light to save ⚡️

Hey, I don’t have that, but the install is the same except you use the adapters included in the kit. For the brake light you use the magnet and sensor combo at the end of the video. For the tail light bracket there are a few methods you can use to mount it. A couple RUclips channels have videos installing on the TALARIA.
