I just wanted to thank you for this video, it made a huge difference on how i was able to have the courage to do what you said to do and the rest gets easier. I was on the air for 2secs which is 150% longer then before I'm getting the balance point with out the crazy fear of falling back. Got Surron couple weeks ago. Keep them coming
Thanks for this you also made me realise that my forks have to much pressure in them because the person I bought my bike off was a dirt rider so they geared the forks for jumps
Thanks man, I’m still learning too. I had a realization tonight while practicing; I think the stock brakes are hurting my ability to balance the wheelies because they don’t have good feel and feedback. I tried some wheelies with Regen on and I think it made it easier because the Regen will apply a predictable and light rear brake when I let off throttle. I’ll be practicing this more and looking at upgrading the brakes too, looks like magura mt5 is a popular and cost effective option with better feel and feedback
Hey friend, you are really right!!! Back brake is the most important thing to prevent crashing back. Congrats!! your video is great. A big thumb up from Argentina. Thank you.
Great video , good quality and good explanations. Lovely ! Keep it up , deserved more attention (: Gona learn wheelies in the woods for now since i run full dirt bike setup but im happy since if i fall its not gona be that bad - and with this vid probly no falling at all thank you
When pulling a wheelie and yhe bike is falling to one side try turning the front wheel to the right to counter balance the bike to keep you going straight 👌
I'm far from doing a wheelie, once I crushed already. Poping the wheel kind of scares me that I will pull the gas to hard and forget about break. Well I'm a new owner guess I have to ride it and know my bike better before I start doing crazy shit
@@dariohassankhani5890 zero progress xD maybe Im to old for that or maybe I should sell it just because its illegal and I dont have enough places to ride :(
sick buddy i like ur vid pretty cool. im a girl rider and just starting to understand life line back brake and i really need o learn the balance point i been getting the front end up just not full wheelies i would say thanx for sharing :) stay safe
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, it’s all about spending more time on the bike and getting comfortable. You’ll get there, have fun and be safe!
Good video man. I can do them on mtb but just got a Talaria and man I got to get used to the brake on the other side and having a throttle insted of pedals.
Here’s a tip for a shorter rider, and just all riders jn general. Let the bike come to your body, so when your in balance point your arms are bent and your almost touching the bars with your face, this gives you so much control, as your arms are bent and can control the wheelie better
It seems you are lacking the brake and throttle control needed. Try starting every session just riding slow with both wheels planted, and focus on your left hand finger(s) that control the brakes and the the right throttle. Be sure to find the point of engagement for the rear break. And when you release the brake, don't just let it all the way out. Release rear brake just enough that pads are not clamping the rotor. Over and over. Be aware of how tiny movement of your finger(s) are actually enough to release the rear brake. Then engage the throttle, softly roll on the throttle after releasing the brake. Then pull the rear break softly, and roll on the throttle. After a few minuets try to bring this into your wheelies. Within a week you will ride long wheelies. But start each day drilling brake lever and throttle control with both wheels planted. That way you don't get overloaded and can focus on the task at hand.
Thanks for the advice, I’ll give this a try, you’re right about my brake control. The stock brakes don’t have much fee on the Sur Ron, I’ve been thinking about upgrading to Magura mt5 brakes for better feel in the lever, this may help as well
@@JuicedJoyrides Updated brakes will help. But brake and throttle control is still a skill. Just start practicing today, like 10 minutes. And keep doing every day until you nail it. Within a week or two you will have total control .
Great video friend, subbed! SurRonster is teaching young kids only how to break laws and crave attention in places that make the ebike communities look bad. @@JuicedJoyrides And I apologize!… I may sound like I’m coming down hard on SurRonster, however he has a huge audience and because of his easy reach to a younger generation, I’ve literally seen/talked to 2-3 different 15 year-old kids in my city who have either had to sell or get rid of their SurRons after running into cops because of doing things like this. Probably, I could never balance a wheelie too long on a pedal bike. This is a bit more intimidating than a bicycle because the power and weight, and potentially speed
I have new brakes and a little bit of new upgrades. I got the wheelie part down I Can't hold it up though like I can only if I'm on a hill cuase it slows it more down. (I have a stock speed controller and stock battery btw) I don't know If I need more power or not or just I can't figure out how to lower the speed of the wheelie. I also have a 64 sprocket I weigh 115. Any tips?
It sounds like you’re still in the power wheelie phase, I’d recommend trying to keep a slow speed and using the brake from keeping you from falling back, it’s scary. You don’t need more power, you’re just not popping it high enough. I have the same struggle.
I don’t have the stock display and controller anymore so mine is a bit different. I’ve been practicing on full power without Regen , however in the past week I have been leaving Regen on along with full power, and I think I like it more with Regen on. I find that leaving Regen on does two things to help me. 1) when letting off the throttle it automatically applies a bit of brake acting as a safety net to help prevent flipping backwards. 2) the brake applied with Regen is relatively gentle compared to what I’ve been doing grabbing my back brake lever, the stock brakes don’t have much feel so it’s hard to gauge how much brake I apply. For this reason I’ve been considering upgrading my brakes. Hope this helps. Happy riding and be safe!
how TF do you lift the wheel up so slowly? I feel like every time I try to wheelies I have to go full throttle and throw the front wheel up and I worry im going to loop out because of how fast it comes up. also will the back break bring the bike back down if im still on the throttle? my worry is that I will hit the back break but forget to let go of the throttle.
Try and bounce on the front suspension and pop it at the right timing in one fluid motion of suspension and throttle blip. I never really got it down, the risk is too high for me any more haha
