I've made this several times with turmeric rice as a side. A+ recommend.
so you moved the onions to the side, that is so clever!!!!
Every man has a price. This is mine....😊
It’s looks yummy recipe
I strongly suggest using Ethiopian Berbere seasoning with this African cuisine. Berbere tastes incredible on Bobotie and pairs perfectly with Bobotie. I think most authentic Bobotie recipes include it too.
Thanks for the suggestion! Will try it out 😊
It's very similar to the Bobotie that I tried in South Africa
thank you
also thank you for the idea of the bain marie
That looks so good
Def trying this tonight!
Looks delicious! Lovely presentation.👌 Thank you.
I love it!!..i'm adding it to my menu
Very nice I also put seedless raisins in.
Ek hou van eat ek hier sien! Gaan beslis dit probeer! 😊
Ja, en daarna gaan ons braai...
Yummy
My Zona does not like eggs and onion together, but we will give it a try.
Looks incredible! What kind of Chutney did you use, any specific fruits I should look use? Also, could you please speak a little on that colourful side dish, looks like rice? Any specific spices and herbs? Im guessing Turmeric gave it that vibrant colour?
Thank you for your comment, great questions! I used Mrs H.s.ball's Chutney and for the rice, used turmeric.
Ran out of Jam so have used Marmalade, should be OK. Also for the mix I have it in a bowl in water in the pressure cooker. P;ainly will have to do the custard part in the oven .Under the grill!
Needs some extra Mrs Balls chutney on the side as well……Yours looks very juicy, but they are often a bit dry, so the chutney helps.
TOO much Salt, but other than that, it looks delicious!
that was alot of salt, i definately under season. so thank you
Why so much salt!!!?
I used pink salt, which tastes less salty. The dish actually turned out to be on the sweeter side 😊
This looks incredibly delicious!!! Thank you for sharing 😊 totally going for it tomorrow
That’s a lot of salt
