I've been playing Blade Barrage all season with Bombardiers. With 3 sources of burns you have your dodge up frequently. Also very satisfying killing shotgunners with the Bombardiers
The fact that this works is just... its beautiful in a weird way. Absolutely a great display of what build crafting is all about. Its kind of like watching someone win a world tournament with Ojamas. Like you wouldn't think it actually works, but when it does you can't help but respect it.
Nice build. I like how you got it to work with blunt execution rounds too. For people who are not looking to use an exotic and just want more dodges in 6's for evasiveness, to go invis, to use the bomber mod, etc: you should actually use the aeon gauntlets. It's quite generous with the amount of dodge energy you get back from your teammates deaths and also had some synergy with Vigilance Wing.
I've been using those on my warlock with bottom stormcaller. You get so many rifts together with that arc soul which you can share with your team mates.
Nice to see my favorite Hunter sub get some love. I've been running it with Le Monarque and Oathkeepers since the LeMon poison triggers the dodge recharge perk.
Nice build, my fave PvE solar subclass might actually have some utility in PvP. I’d prob swap to wormhusk just because it’s MW already and can easy have 10/10 mobility/recov.
To incorporate a more mine heavy build with this subclass and have some decent synergy you can put on Young Ahamkara Spine with Momentum Transfer, or have void kitted ones for Bolstering+Focusing Strike and just have more explosion with your kit.

Bottom tree arc strider is goated and frostees are worth while now, I always have my dodge up i get my one shot grenade up constantly which is nutty the grenade is cracked af on this class
Recently switched my main subclass to bald barrage as well. Been trying about an ahamkara trip mine build with a kill clip/demolitionist BXR. Feels super refreshing compared to my usual stompees loadout
heh, looks like a lot of us had the same idea when the new super times were revealed. i main mid solar hunter now too. it's honestly not a bad super either. pretty decent at shutting down, panic supering, and usually good for 1-2 kills. if you dont expect much from it you might be pleasantly surprised. Also to the build, it's cool but you can run double utility kickstart to get your dodge cooldown back to pre nerf levels passively with no conditions. And it only costs 2 energy total.

I dunno how many Pve mains float around here but but blade barrage with young ahamkaras spine one of the strongest and most fun builds in the game, been saying it forever. and with elemental wells it got even nuttier. grenade wellmaker, melee wellmaker, well of life, bountiful wells, seeking wells... you can go entire missions without even firing a bullet, just knives and grenades everywhere.
I’ve been using a build similar to this but I use young ahamkaras spine with tripmines to get nade energy from all the knife hits and I use gamblers dodge since I use this build more like a Dueling and anti-shotgun set up
Makes me wonder what kind of synergy you could gain by using this subclass with Sealed Ahamkara Spine… seeing that melee damage reloads your weapon it could actually be pretty beneficial.
Changes I want for the subclass: Blade Barrage should get a lot of changes, for both PvP and PvE It should have a set pattern for the knives No tracking for knives near the center of the pattern Lots of tracking for knives near the outside of the pattern 150 damage per knife on a direct hit 100/200 damage in an 10 meter radius when a knife explodes (ground/player) Knives should wait 10 seconds before exploding Knives on the ground should explode early if any player gets within 6 meters of them Knife explosions should burn enemies for 6 seconds This should be enough to add a lot of area denial utility to blade barrage along with playing into the burn effect to empower your neutral game after its use. Knife Trick should get changes too 2 charges by default like Withering Blade or Magnitude For each knife an enemy is hit by they should take increased burn damage 1 knife = 3 damage for 4 seconds 2 knives = 9 damage for 6 seconds 3 knives = 27 damage for 8 seconds This is enough to kill any guardian with 3 knife hits Playing with fire should boost grenade cooldowns when killing a burning enemy, in addition to melee cooldowns. The effectiveness should be about half as strong to compensate.

I absolutely love the idea of this weapon in D2. But I think in reality it's not worth using. It has the same impact as weapons like Darkest Before but they shoot much faster with a much faster time to kill
Well yeah it's Blade Barrage, you spam dodge with that class. Throw on a Wormhusk and Le Monarque and you have infinite dodge and health pretty much. All at the cost of the WORST super in the entire game...

It's actually better, run middle tree void. You can use it as a fast movement option to get away or closer/behind an enemy for easy shotgun kills. Also use it to end a super with it's suppression abilities. If you still want the one shot ability you can toss on a pair of perigrines. Synthoseps also improve this ability a bit more though they don't one shot.
Nah bro hear me out, Bombardiers. On Solar, the bomb applies ticks of burn damage to anyone caught in the blast. On Blade Barrage, that gives you back dodge energy. It makes the engine operate better, and if you’re game you can also throw in a Prometheus Lens for extra burn on top of that. But then I understand tfw no BXR, and you might not even need Prometheus with bombardiers alone. With the masterworked Forerunner, it’s a total frag-out.
I'm not sure why I'd use bxr knife combo when someone's aping me instead of just using chap or duality since the knife throw to activate bxr rounds is already within killing distance for those weapons in full sprint.
Most players don't use slug shotguns thankfully, if anything you are probably going to have to worry about rapid fire fusions this season. Been running into at least one person running one each match. Slug users around every 3 matches, usually Chaperone or Heritage.

Hear me out: Cryothesia in your kinetic slot. Convert a sidearm kill into a freeze, which converts into a free (bonus damage) knife, which converts to more knives, a BxR activation, AND a Gemini's charge.
Countdown to the nerf starts now. This class has always been amazing with the right build, it’s been one of my favourites for years while others thought it was bad.
I used to main this class after they nerfed Shards, Ran and Ophida Spathe/Distribution/HandsOn Energy loop build. I would regularly throw like 6 supers a strike. This kit just work very synergistically and with the right armor build can become very lethal very quickly. especially with tweaks they did to it last season. Also, hitting one person/target with all three knives because you figured out how to flick the stick just the right way to do so is just so very satisfying.
glad youre having fun but the bxr sucks. power creep is here boys. why would you use a pulse other than messenger? rapid hit kill clip roll? you wouldn't. hip fire mode is fine but why not just pull out a smg that does the same thing better.
You are somewhat right, messenger has a better TTK than BXR but in terms of versatility the BXR is better. It's a good all around pulse that doesn't have any major strong points but no major downsides besides straight body shot TTK.

It feels like it loses to everything in a duel in todays hopped up sandbox with that non forgiving .87 ttk. Messenger is just so cracked. i dont think any serious player treats bxr as anything other than a fun weapon, thats why even new it's barely used in trials. give it a few months and you will never ever see it in trials. as always, i'm not on pc so maybe it's better there with the pc laser aim. the bxr rounds and hip fire at the end of the day are gimmicks. now if it was a 340 archetype with it's stats, scope and zoom, you might have had something that could even challenge hand cannon dominance. which of course bungie will never let happen anyway. the 450 pulse archetype is just bad, and while i love that they gave it lots of cool stuff to counteract it's bad archetype, at the end of the day it's not enough. I get why they did it, because to make it a 340 would have introduced even more power creep and invalidated all other 340's like Messenger. So by putting it in a dead archetype they didnt have to worry about that, the only gun they arguably invalidated was chattering bone (the only other legendary non sunset 450) which probably 1% even have in 2021?. Outbreak is also 450 but can stand on it's own in PVE and with it's perk, same with bad doodoo. that's it those are the 3 other 450 pulses (non aggressive)
@@cryengine_x Well with the release of this pulse I would imagine that a rebalancing will be coming soon to pulse rifles. Now whether that means that 450s will be getting a buff or if they will be reigning in the power creep on the other weapons I don't know. Pretty much the only good 450s currently are Outbreak Perfected and the BXR-55. Bad Juju is good if you can get it's damage perk rolling and keep it rolling so it's more situational. Honestly I'm expecting a large sandbox rebalancing come Witch Queen and hope that they can finally cut back on the HC dominance that's plagued this game for so long.
I play M&C Mouse & controller on console this build is nasty for flick shots with Cronus Zen 1:1 output I’m absolutely destroying and no anti-cheat exists on console told by a source so definitely using this until Witch Queen & Trials.
Changing them dodge time was one of the most brainless things Bungie has done. I used to main Hunter, but switched to TTD with Ophidans and could never go back because of Ophidans, but now I’ll never be able to go back
@@Water-dz5ye I would imagine M&K usage and the new anti-cheat. It's hard going back to a controller once you get used to the precision and movement M&K provide compared to controller.
Have to agree with you, frankly Halo or Splitgate have better and more balanced PVP compared to Destiny (plus actual dedicated server's). I just think of Destiny PVP as a time killer that you really can't take seriously. It's always going to be a game of who can break the system the best in terms of broken load outs.

I was using the double dodge exotic on strider today and I was spamming dodges and ranged melee attacks EVERYWHERE

I play M&C Mouse & controller on console this build is nasty for flick shots with Cronus Zen 1:1 output I’m absolutely destroying and no anti-cheat exists on console told by a source so definitely using this until Witch Queen & Trials.
Changing them dodge time was one of the most brainless things Bungie has done. I used to main Hunter, but switched to TTD with Ophidans and could never go back because of Ophidans, but now I’ll never be able to go back
If Bungie ever decides to give every class double jump TTD will make Hunter's an endangered species 😂.

@@Water-dz5ye I would imagine M&K usage and the new anti-cheat. It's hard going back to a controller once you get used to the precision and movement M&K provide compared to controller.
This company really can’t make a balanced game or even eliminate certain things like dodge spam and all the bullshit

Have to agree with you, frankly Halo or Splitgate have better and more balanced PVP compared to Destiny (plus actual dedicated server's). I just think of Destiny PVP as a time killer that you really can't take seriously. It's always going to be a game of who can break the system the best in terms of broken load outs.
