All of the Combos come naturally from experience as a night stalker hunter. I'm surprised to see someone explain things so detailed though. As a returning player from all the way back in Season of the Dawn, I LOVE how accessible you make this video. There are lots of new additions that I didn't really know, and other build videos have not done even remotely close to as good of a job explaining them as this has. Also, an added, but super important bonus is that these builds do not require seasonal mods. I can't express enough how awesome and appreciated that is. You're really the best. Been using my nightstalker hunter the most out of my characters and it makes me proud to say that I was running the exact same setup along with the 100 mob 100 discipline. I also knew how to use the combos and I was not expecting you to go that deep on this video for you to do that. The only difference was I used the grenade weaken effect fragment. What I did learn was that shadowdive had a longer invis duration compared to the regular smoke bomb use and following that up with a dodge makes the invis from the dodge 2 seconds longer than if you were to just to a regulars dodge. This video was the prefect video to show to anyone who wants to learn how to make the most out of this subsclass for PvE.
I've been using a simlar build for a while now, and while it's not exactly the hardest hitting, it is one of the most useful. I did swap something out with volatile flow for extra add broom, and a minor boost to boss dps when using a void heavy.
Seriously, you are the master hunter. Been trying to channel you through GMs lately, and I’m offen the last guardian standing. Need to work on pre-planning my wells a bit more and using dodge more strategically. Thank you for this incredible resource!

I've been using a similar build since Void 3.0 dropped and was running an unlimited invisibility build before that also. Great guide, omni hunter has been my go-to for GMs this season with great results. Nothing quite like clutching the double res and wyvern cleanup on the Glassway boss!

I myself found that I reached the Medic role by myself as I used Omnioculous learning to revive and make my team invis on the fly giving the hunter that support role.

Man, thank you. I haven't played since Forsaken and I've honestly been so lost trying to get back into the game and the current mechanics. Your content isn't just entertaining and well thought out, it gives me hope I can be more than complete trash.
This build allowed my group to do grandmasters last seasons as we returned to game after being gone for close to 2 years, and as a huge support guru this build for me is king. To top things off, this build is completely void of any seasonal mods and ensures us consistency throughout the seasons which for me is huge. The way you divided the content up and presented it with fantastic editing was a huge plus. Wish I could like this video more than once.
Powerful Friends + Radiant Light + Reactive Pulse should recieve an honorable mention, makes it real easy to hit T10 in both Mobility and Strength even without super optimized gear, the Reactive Pulse also makes the invis+finisher combo irrelevant.

I just duplicated this build with my inferior armor rolls and had a successful run through mid-level content that I was struggling with previously. I can’t wait to take on more challenges and optimize my play style. Most of all it was FUN and I can’t wait to do it again! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
While I must say I think calling this the “best loadout in destiny that make all other options seem underwhelming” is a tad hyperbolic. I do think that these level of synergies and mechanics was the goal with aspects and fragments. So it’s good to see it working.
I’d normally agree, but after building this I think he’s right. You can cloak your team in a GM forever and get out of situations no other class possibly could. I did this week’s GM with only 2 resilience and 5 recovery. It didn’t even matter - I was shot minimally the entire run, and I was cloaked so the 4x resist ate it. All your stats can be in mobility, grenade, and strength. This build trivializes most PvE combat encounters with a major bonus of being able to recover from teammate deaths. It’s the definition of clutch for sure.
@@EulogyfortheAngels I think the final area of scarlet keep is a great place to show off a build like this. Same with with similar strike bosses like glass way and light blade. These drawn out brawls against waves of adds. However in a raid I think this would fall off somewhat. Partially because revive tokens are a thing. But also because during any dps phase the entire build turns off. You can’t focus Rhulk or The Caretaker down when your invisible, neither can your team. Sure you can izamai/rocket as well as anyone else but the lack of marksman’s dodge reduced your dps in that context even if only by a small margin. Also, and I know freeze is a dirty word, but freeze is a useful thing. Being able to lock enemies down is almost the same thing as making your allies invisible. A duskfield grenade can even freeze a barrier champ out of their bubble. Even though bosses can’t be stopped by frozen the extra damage from shattering them does help. All that on top of the fact that we have 6 subclasses that don’t have aspects or fragments so the comparison isn’t even fair. I’m not saying this build isn’t good. But it has weaknesses and by the end of season 18 all 12 subclasses will be able to pull of something to this effect.
@@mlp_firewind8129 very fair points! 👍👍 I see it as a GM + lost sector kind of setup - raids would require their own setups just like PvP has its own. The challenge I find with freezing champions (besides Osmiomancy Gloves) is the difficulty maintaining a freeze, and the team has to be in sync to take advantage of those precious seconds. Duskfields have great utility; I’ll have to properly build a Renewal Grasp build and see how that feels. How have you been liking Solar 3.0?
In grandmaster or high end content it is the best load out. Plain and simple. There is no need for high dps in 95% of GM content so this is the best. Unless you like going to orbit frequently.

Been using this build or - alternatively - graviton forfeit for even longer invis (but no resist buff). This made me a hunter main for whole season 16. Anyhow… Mactics… your explanation is awesome. You put a lot of work and effort into this… it shows off! Great work!
Get this, Mastes Wellspring everyone 15-20 levels under, and as a Hunter i was reviving people left and right, with a healthy smoke invis that granted them 4x resist, the flow and sinergy of this built was felt absolutely amazing, like a beatiful dance amongst chaos. Im not taking this off anytime soon. Please never stop making this type of videos, the quality and passion behind them is amazing

I also want to preface that I was able to get the combos running with Bombardiers. So the fact that I'm able to do that means that Omnioculus only make this build that much better. (I also DONT have Bountiful Wells)

I listen to guides and builds during work when music gets boring. This made me stop and watch, then watch again. The depth of information here is incredible. As a hunter main, I learned much more than I anticipated. I’m sure this was a huge undertaking. The quality is suburb. Thank you. I finally picked up an Omni after a year break. Next nightfall another drops with some cracked out stats. I cannot wait for GMs and Raids with this build. Just missing a couple mods to complete your outlined build. I wanna start with saying I am a long time Nightstalker main with over 800 hours on my Hunter in D2. I have run several grandmasters and solo master Nightfalls for fun. I only say that because I want you to understand that I know Hunter inside and out. So when I say this build imprsssed the hell outta me, it really does mean something. I have multiple Nightstalker builds, but this one is so much harder to kill than any of mine. That said, I have to say the thing I was most impressed by was the production quality of this video, as well as the way in which you disseminate and convey the information there in. This is the kind of content that will not only further hone the edge of veterans like myself, but will also offer first rate starting points for new lights. Great job.

i am mainly a warlock player and have been since beyond light release. i only touched my hunters to grind the exotic weapons on raids. my hunter is decently leveled up but looks more like a player whose only played for a month. i saw watched this video and instantly switched. its been fun to use and my warlock mindset transferred in the sense of helping teammates before yourself.

I worked up this build (don't have tha shader for some reason) but i ran it one time late last night after getting figured out ....and wow i was invisible for like 70% of a NF ...i died a couple of times...but that's because i'm going to need to get some seasoning with this build...but seriously might have been the most fun i have had with any build ever! I"m sure if i really practice with it a ton by Monday I'll have it down with zero deaths on higher level NFs... thank you for posting this awesome!
This video has forever changed my playstyle (I was Orpheus Rig Void Hunter for the season) and now I don't think I can go back. I feel like this build helped me reach a new level especially in endgame content where I'm getting all the reses and the sneak plays. I've been subbed for a bit, but your videos are easily some of the best and most simple guides out there. Keep it up!
I been playing with an Omnioculus for a while, but this vid really refined it. It's gone from pretty good to amazing. With the changes to Resilience, pumping it up is making this a real beast.
I use this and a six coyote / devour build when I run solo end game . Both are incredible. Ones just more aggressive and invisibility only when in trouble . The oculus usually in team environments . Very well put together content . Well done .
Rat-king is also able to have a similar invis extension with a dodge. If you get a kill with Rat-king, go invis, and renew the timer with a dodge it'll also extend the timer to 9 sec just like if you shadow dived.
I absolutely love this because I’m getting back into destiny for light fall but lost my guardian so I’m making a new hunter and I’d always use this exact play style with my friends to rez them

While I would say that much of this guide was information that I already knew from extensively playing an Omni Hunter, many of the minor nuances and combos (like using the grace period coupled with the obscurity finisher) were things that I did not already know. Things that would have made my run through Lightblade quite a bit easier. Excellent guide!
I've been playing this build all season 16 and I never thought of using half of the techniques you used. Thank you and I look forward to watching this video anew and learning again. BTW for those who would like some extra protection during finishers, I would recommend the mod Reactive Pulse. It isn't necessary since you should be invisible when finishing, but it might help beginners. Just make sure you're using another arc mod on the piece of armor you're using Reactive Pulse on.

Such a good guide. Holy smokes. The amount of attention to detail here is incredible. And even if you’re a non-Hunter, the production quality alone is worth praise.
Just a small thing that might be helpful is, that using lightweight weapon you get a hidden +20 to mobility, so you could essentially run T8 mobility to hit that T10 mobility.
I got into Destiny 2 just a few days ago so 95% of what you just said i wasn't able to understand it but oh my god, you have a truly amazing ability when it comes to the commentary and breaking down everything. The editing is just on another level, the music, the cuts just everything is on point. As a very small content creator myself, I can only hope i can get just close to your level some day. Most of my teams aren't people who play destiny a whole lot they're mostly under 500 hrs so when I want to do endgame content with them (and I'm a hunter like most of our group) we end up struggling a lot. Then I got Omnioculus and thanks to you I'm learning it much better. Endgame content has gotten much easier and I can still support my allies when I'm not on warlock. I'm going to be honest, your videos have reignited my passion for this game. Especially in PVE, I have played a lot of PVP for the past few season that I have completely disregarded mosrt pve activities. But after I set up my duality solo titan build, I can say I have never had more fun in pve activities like nightfall and gambit, or even the season quest. Everything that came to my path fell in smitherines. And now I finally got my omniocculus, I currently have T10 resiliance which when invis gives me a total of 90 damage resistance, I'm not sure if they stack, but would be nice if they do, since I can go for 100 damage resistance if I put on protective light. I'm not sure if the harmony is here, but when I play tested it today, I definitely felt very tanky to damage, kind of like having low grade restoration on. But yeah, thanks man. Keep up the good work. I am excited what you have in store for my warlock.
for the well mod, it isnt actually once per grenade, im unsure what exactly it is, but on warlock with a charged vortex granade if an enemy dies at the last second of it, it will also drop a well (with the aspect that increases duration of lingering granade effects)
I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciate your videos which put forward a level of build crafting and playstyle theory into destiny that has never been seen before. It inspired me to take your theories and apply them to my titan where I'm now fine tuning a defensive support tank/paladin excelling in being a wall to protect teammates complete with its own combat rotations and playstyle philosophies.
@@MacticsG1 So I've finally perfected my paladin titan which just got even better at it's role after the resilience change. Setup: Max resilience, as high discipline and strength as possible (I run T6 in both) Aspects: Bastion, Offensive Bulwark Fragments: Undermining, Exchange, Leeching Vortex grenade Exotic armour: Heart of inmost light Mods: Required - Impact Induction, Utility Kickstart x2 Optional - Kinetic Siphon, Bountiful Wells, Reaping Wellmaker, Melee Wellmaker, Well of Tenacity, Elemental Time Dilation, Better Already Weapons: No specific weapons necessary but Monte Carlo helps smooth the rotations and any weapons with swashbuckler or adrenaline junkie to increase damage. Concept: Your goal is to cycle between your barricade, shield throw, grenade in a methodical and consistent manner to continuously refresh overshields, debuffs and enhanced barricades every few seconds. Whilst creating void wells and orbs as a byproduct for you and your team mates. You are to be in the enemies line of sight, taking aggro away from your allies and always create a haven for them to hide behind. You are not the damage dealer, instead you create situations for a kill to be more easily made. Rotation: Depending on what you want to use, you must use your abilities in order so that the ability you want is used last, that way, it gains the max bonus from HoIL. E.g. Grenade > Melee > Barricade for strongest possible defence Barricade > Grenade > Melee for highest burst damage These rotations will then feed into each other creating a perpetual cycle of enhanced abilities being used in rapid succession. And because no kills are required to activate abilities, the rotations can be used against bosses (Monte Carlo works amazingly here to continuously recharge your melee which in turn helps to recharge your grenade). Playstyle: Stay with a team mate - All of your defences means nothing if your allies can't benefit from them, don't be a lone wolf. Don't over reach - Feeds into previous point. If you think you can't comfortably get a kill, don't go for it. Your priority is to maintain the defence, let a team mate do the damage dealing. A dead guardian does no damage. Watch your back - Your 6 will be your only 'weakspot' because your barricades won't extend behind you. But it's possible for you to set up more than one barricade so you can place one behind you if needed. Your bubble can be reserved as a panic super exclusively for this. Philosophy: Survivalist - At this stage, your goal is to stay alive in the midst of battle. With all of the tools at your disposal, use them to stay alive no matter the cost. Decoy - At this stage, you can control the enemies attention by setting up shop in high traffic areas and set the enemy up to be taken out more efficiently by your team mates. Vanguard - At this stage, you are first into battle and your team mates will learn to take advantage of the abundant resources you provide for them. And you in return can predict what your team mates want to do and can facilitate those plays smoothly.

On the bit about stat priorities, and I think even as a longtime hard warlock main I'll prioritize discipline over strength and just use a weapon with threat detector to get the hang of the dodge melee refresh range since they're the same radius so seeing threat det on screen means you're good to regain melee
Gave it a look and tried it out and it’s a lot of fun! It’s a lot less shooting than I normally do but movement is all over which makes it feel like you’re everywhere at once

As a new player all the solar builds I saw seemed ridiculous for me to pick up and do right to make it good. This already feels a lot more realistic for me to pickup and learn. I think that both are interesting. Seasonal mods allow you to experience a new type of Gameplay. I think it is also fun.
All of the Combos come naturally from experience as a night stalker hunter. I'm surprised to see someone explain things so detailed though. As someone that mained Nightstalker and nothing else since D1 even before void 3.0 I really love seeing so many more of us running around. I'd love to like this video a million times
Yes! Even 2 years playing hunter and having RAN legendary campaigns for the homies thanks to exquisite smoke bombery, the animation cancel combos and timer chaining breakdown were just lovely. I am going to have big fun testing this live for a Vow run later.

There are lots of new additions that I didn't really know, and other build videos have not done even remotely close to as good of a job explaining them as this has. Also, an added, but super important bonus is that these builds do not require seasonal mods. I can't express enough how awesome and appreciated that is. You're really the best. Been using my nightstalker hunter the most out of my characters and it makes me proud to say that I was running the exact same setup along with the 100 mob 100 discipline. I also knew how to use the combos and I was not expecting you to go that deep on this video for you to do that. The only difference was I used the grenade weaken effect fragment. What I did learn was that shadowdive had a longer invis duration compared to the regular smoke bomb use and following that up with a dodge makes the invis from the dodge 2 seconds longer than if you were to just to a regulars dodge. This video was the prefect video to show to anyone who wants to learn how to make the most out of this subsclass for PvE.

I've been using a simlar build for a while now, and while it's not exactly the hardest hitting, it is one of the most useful. I did swap something out with volatile flow for extra add broom, and a minor boost to boss dps when using a void heavy.
Seriously, you are the master hunter. Been trying to channel you through GMs lately, and I’m offen the last guardian standing. Need to work on pre-planning my wells a bit more and using dodge more strategically. Thank you for this incredible resource!

I've been using a similar build since Void 3.0 dropped and was running an unlimited invisibility build before that also. I myself found that I reached the Medic role by myself as I used Omnioculous learning to revive and make my team invis on the fly giving the hunter that support role.

This is one of the best Destiny 2 builds I have seen, and also I think it's one of the first I have seen with a DiM loadout link, pretty great.
The fact that you're doing this without relying on seasonal mods is pretty incredible.
This build allowed my group to do grandmasters last seasons as we returned to game after being gone for close to 2 years, and as a huge support guru this build for me is king. To top things off, this build is completely void of any seasonal mods and ensures us consistency throughout the seasons which for me is huge. The way you divided the content up and presented it with fantastic editing was a huge plus. Wish I could like this video more than once.
Powerful Friends + Radiant Light + Reactive Pulse should recieve an honorable mention, makes it real easy to hit T10 in both Mobility and Strength even without super optimized gear, the Reactive Pulse also makes the invis+finisher combo irrelevant.
I honestly appreciate this video WAY too much. While I must say I think calling this the “best loadout in destiny that make all other options seem underwhelming” is a tad hyperbolic. I do think that these level of synergies and mechanics was the goal with aspects and fragments. So it’s good to see it working.
I’d normally agree, but after building this I think he’s right. You can cloak your team in a GM forever and get out of situations no other class possibly could.
I did this week’s GM with only 2 resilience and 5 recovery. It didn’t even matter - I was shot minimally the entire run, and I was cloaked so the 4x resist ate it. All your stats can be in mobility, grenade, and strength.
This build trivializes most PvE combat encounters with a major bonus of being able to recover from teammate deaths. It’s the definition of clutch for sure.
@@EulogyfortheAngels I think the final area of scarlet keep is a great place to show off a build like this. Same with with similar strike bosses like glass way and light blade. These drawn out brawls against waves of adds.
However in a raid I think this would fall off somewhat. Partially because revive tokens are a thing. But also because during any dps phase the entire build turns off. You can’t focus Rhulk or The Caretaker down when your invisible, neither can your team. Sure you can izamai/rocket as well as anyone else but the lack of marksman’s dodge reduced your dps in that context even if only by a small margin.
Also, and I know freeze is a dirty word, but freeze is a useful thing. Being able to lock enemies down is almost the same thing as making your allies invisible. A duskfield grenade can even freeze a barrier champ out of their bubble. Even though bosses can’t be stopped by frozen the extra damage from shattering them does help.
All that on top of the fact that we have 6 subclasses that don’t have aspects or fragments so the comparison isn’t even fair. I’m not saying this build isn’t good. But it has weaknesses and by the end of season 18 all 12 subclasses will be able to pull of something to this effect.

I see it as a GM + lost sector kind of setup - raids would require their own setups just like PvP has its own.
The challenge I find with freezing champions (besides Osmiomancy Gloves) is the difficulty maintaining a freeze, and the team has to be in sync to take advantage of those precious seconds. Duskfields have great utility; I’ll have to properly build a Renewal Grasp build and see how that feels.
How have you been liking Solar 3.0?
In grandmaster or high end content it is the best load out. Plain and simple. There is no need for high dps in 95% of GM content so this is the best. Unless you like going to orbit frequently.

Get this, Mastes Wellspring everyone 15-20 levels under, and as a Hunter i was reviving people left and right, with a healthy smoke invis that granted them 4x resist, the flow and sinergy of this built was felt absolutely amazing, like a beatiful dance amongst chaos. Im not taking this off anytime soon.

I wanna start with saying I am a long time Nightstalker main with over 800 hours on my Hunter in D2. I have run several grandmasters and solo master Nightfalls for fun. I only say that because I want you to understand that I know Hunter inside and out. So when I say this build imprsssed the hell outta me, it really does mean something. I have multiple Nightstalker builds, but this one is so much harder to kill than any of mine. That said, I have to say the thing I was most impressed by was the production quality of this video, as well as the way in which you disseminate and convey the information there in. This is the kind of content that will not only further hone the edge of veterans like myself, but will also offer first rate starting points for new lights. Great job.

i am mainly a warlock player and have been since beyond light release. i only touched my hunters to grind the exotic weapons on raids. my hunter is decently leveled up but looks more like a player whose only played for a month. i saw watched this video and instantly switched. its been fun to use and my warlock mindset transferred in the sense of helping teammates before yourself.

I worked up this build (don't have tha shader for some reason) but i ran it one time late last night after getting figured out ....and wow i was invisible for like 70% of a NF ...i died a couple of times...but that's because i'm going to need to get some seasoning with this build...but seriously might have been the most fun i have had with any build ever! I"m sure if i really practice with it a ton by Monday I'll have it down with zero deaths on higher level NFs... thank you for posting this awesome!
This video has forever changed my playstyle (I was Orpheus Rig Void Hunter for the season) and now I don't think I can go back. I feel like this build helped me reach a new level especially in endgame content where I'm getting all the reses and the sneak plays. I been playing with an Omnioculus for a while, but this vid really refined it. It's gone from pretty good to amazing. With the changes to Resilience, pumping it up is making this a real beast.
One of the best tutorials on a Destiny 2 exotic. Keep this up and you will one of the best in this genre.
I use this and a six coyote / devour build when I run solo end game . Both are incredible. Ones just more aggressive and invisibility only when in trouble . The oculus usually in team environments . Very well put together content . Well done .
Rat-king is also able to have a similar invis extension with a dodge. If you get a kill with Rat-king, go invis, and renew the timer with a dodge it'll also extend the timer to 9 sec just like if you shadow dived.
I absolutely love this because I’m getting back into destiny for light fall but lost my guardian so I’m making a new hunter and I’d always use this exact play style with my friends to rez them

While I would say that much of this guide was information that I already knew from extensively playing an Omni Hunter, many of the minor nuances and combos (like using the grace period coupled with the obscurity finisher) were things that I did not already know. Things that would have made my run through Lightblade quite a bit easier. Excellent guide!
I've been playing this build all season 16 and I never thought of using half of the techniques you used. Thank you and I look forward to watching this video anew and learning again.
BTW for those who would like some extra protection during finishers, I would recommend the mod Reactive Pulse. It isn't necessary since you should be invisible when finishing, but it might help beginners. Just make sure you're using another arc mod on the piece of armor you're using Reactive Pulse on.

Just a small thing that might be helpful is, that using lightweight weapon you get a hidden +20 to mobility, so you could essentially run T8 mobility to hit that T10 mobility.
I got into Destiny 2 just a few days ago so 95% of what you just said i wasn't able to understand it but oh my god, you have a truly amazing ability when it comes to the commentary and breaking down everything. The editing is just on another level, the music, the cuts just everything is on point.

Most of my teams aren't people who play destiny a whole lot they're mostly under 500 hrs so when I want to do endgame content with them (and I'm a hunter like most of our group) we end up struggling a lot. Then I got Omnioculus and thanks to you I'm learning it much better. Endgame content has gotten much easier and I can still support my allies when I'm not on warlock. I'm going to be honest, your videos have reignited my passion for this game. Especially in PVE, I have played a lot of PVP for the past few season that I have completely disregarded mosrt pve activities. But after I set up my duality solo titan build, I can say I have never had more fun in pve activities like nightfall and gambit, or even the season quest. Everything that came to my path fell in smitherines. And now I finally got my omniocculus, I currently have T10 resiliance which when invis gives me a total of 90 damage resistance, I'm not sure if they stack, but would be nice if they do, since I can go for 100 damage resistance if I put on protective light. I'm not sure if the harmony is here, but when I play tested it today, I definitely felt very tanky to damage, kind of like having low grade restoration on. But yeah, thanks man. Keep up the good work. I am excited what you have in store for my warlock.
for the well mod, it isnt actually once per grenade, im unsure what exactly it is, but on warlock with a charged vortex granade if an enemy dies at the last second of it, it will also drop a well (with the aspect that increases duration of lingering granade effects)
I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciate your videos which put forward a level of build crafting and playstyle theory into destiny that has never been seen before.
It inspired me to take your theories and apply them to my titan where I'm now fine tuning a defensive support tank/paladin excelling in being a wall to protect teammates complete with its own combat rotations and playstyle philosophies.

Setup:
Max resilience, as high discipline and strength as possible (I run T6 in both)
Aspects: Bastion, Offensive Bulwark

Weapons:
No specific weapons necessary but Monte Carlo helps smooth the rotations and any weapons with swashbuckler or adrenaline junkie to increase damage.
Concept:
Your goal is to cycle between your barricade, shield throw, grenade in a methodical and consistent manner to continuously refresh overshields, debuffs and enhanced barricades every few seconds. Whilst creating void wells and orbs as a byproduct for you and your team mates. You are to be in the enemies line of sight, taking aggro away from your allies and always create a haven for them to hide behind. You are not the damage dealer, instead you create situations for a kill to be more easily made.
Rotation:
Depending on what you want to use, you must use your abilities in order so that the ability you want is used last, that way, it gains the max bonus from HoIL.
E.g. Grenade > Melee > Barricade for strongest possible defence
Barricade > Grenade > Melee for highest burst damage
These rotations will then feed into each other creating a perpetual cycle of enhanced abilities being used in rapid succession. And because no kills are required to activate abilities, the rotations can be used against bosses (Monte Carlo works amazingly here to continuously recharge your melee which in turn helps to recharge your grenade).
Playstyle:
Stay with a team mate - All of your defences means nothing if your allies can't benefit from them, don't be a lone wolf.
Don't over reach - Feeds into previous point. If you think you can't comfortably get a kill, don't go for it. Your priority is to maintain the defence, let a team mate do the damage dealing. A dead guardian does no damage.
Watch your back - Your 6 will be your only 'weakspot' because your barricades won't extend behind you. But it's possible for you to set up more than one barricade so you can place one behind you if needed. Your bubble can be reserved as a panic super exclusively for this.
Philosophy:
Survivalist - At this stage, your goal is to stay alive in the midst of battle. With all of the tools at your disposal, use them to stay alive no matter the cost.
Decoy - At this stage, you can control the enemies attention by setting up shop in high traffic areas and set the enemy up to be taken out more efficiently by your team mates.
Vanguard - At this stage, you are first into battle and your team mates will learn to take advantage of the abundant resources you provide for them. And you in return can predict what your team mates want to do and can facilitate those plays smoothly.

On the bit about stat priorities, and I think even as a longtime hard warlock main I'll prioritize discipline over strength and just use a weapon with threat detector to get the hang of the dodge melee refresh range since they're the same radius so seeing threat det on screen means you're good to regain melee

Gave it a look and tried it out and it’s a lot of fun! It’s a lot less shooting than I normally do but movement is all over which makes it feel like you’re everywhere at once
I just started the game 3 days ago. (I’m hooked af) chose hunter because it seemed the coolest. Started using solar because of all the new solar builds. So glad I stumbled upon this build. As a new player all the solar builds I saw seemed ridiculous for me to pick up and do right to make it good. This already feels a lot more realistic for me to pickup and learn.
