I really fell in love with your content this year. I've always dabbled in Destiny since it came out, but never really got fully into it. Just the campaigns mostly. Testing all of your builds really pushed me to nerd out and go all in on this game. I finally completed some raids and dungeons, played with the other character classes, collected all the weapons, and started completing titles. This game had so much to offer, and I wouldn't have known had I not gotten into your channel. Thanks for what you do. Happy new year!

Renewal Grasps making that comeback is part of the reason I have my full Young Ahamkara's Spine armor set frozen in cryostasis with a sticky note on top that says "Wake me when you need me." Cope? Absolutely. But I can dream.

The reason Renewal Grasps haven't caused the same stir in PvP as last time is due to the Resist changes in PvP. They normalised all Resist effects/values to provide a consistent amount of DR, and basically nerfed (in PvP) ALL Resist effects into 4 tiers, with each tier granting 2.5% DR (so max tier 4 is 10% DR in PvP). Before, when Renewal Grasps were meta in PvP, they were providing allies inside a whopping 50% DR, PLUS if an opponent was inside, they would have their outgoing damage reduced by 10-20%(?), so those values together were insane survivability in PvP.
It was 50% outgoing DMG nerf. One of the most braindead setups ever put in the game.
If you ever want to be a jerk you throw on renewal with witherhoard and smg of choice, I go shayuras, throw the duskfield and drop the withernext to it, basically free kills
It's a really really exciting thing to see someone able to make content creation work full time. I love helping in enabling that.
As a warlock main and someone who has used sunstar a lot, I really can’t put it in S tier. While the exotic itself is good, stormcaller itself is really underwhelming. I’d put it in A/B tier mainly due to the shortcomings of the subclass especially since it wholly relies on kills to generate ionic traces unlike arc titan pulse nades which should’ve been a warlock aspect imo

Hey mactics, I have a build that I use a lot, I call it the “malice alchemy”.
You need touch of malice and sanguine alchemy, and a lot of recovery and intellect as primary stats (along with resilience, as always).
Your sublcass should be solar, well of radiance (I use heat rises and touch of the flame, but you can also go with Icarus dash) (with ember of combustion, ember of eruption, ember of wonder and ember of blistering-side note:I remember that these fragments worked while in your super, thus igniting with every kill, including a kinetic one, so I included these fragments, but I’m not able to replicate it anymore, so feel free to change them if you want), healing rift, healing nade, melee doesn’t matter, use the one you prefer.
Otherwise you can go with arc, use what you want as super and melee (arc soul and electrostatic mind) (with spark of luminosity, spark of amplitude, spark of ions and spark of shock) and stun grenade.
HOW IT WORKS
The basic idea is to plant your rift (a healing one) and then proceed to eliminate every enemy with only touch of malice; the health drain from the weapon will be greatly nullified by the rift heal, every double kill you spawn an orb and every three you get back a chunk of health thanks to the touch’s perk.
When your super is charged (if you are on solar) it gets better: with the buff provided by the well, and the blight from the touch, no one will survive; moreover you can use your super to do dps: if every shot of the touch lands on a boss(or a tough enemy) at the end of your super your well will be ready again, so you can chain this indefinitely (if you have 100 intellect, otherwise the next well will be ready at 90% at the end of your super)
With the arc one, you already have an arc soul that can last indefinitely if you continue to kill…and if you blind an enemy with the stun and then you kill it with a headshot, it will spread the blind effect onto others, and so on…and if the arc soul kills someone, you’ll receive an ionic trace, thus empowering your arc soul.
MODS
Head: kinetic siphon, the more the better;
Arms: font of focus, at least 2 of them;
Chest: resistances, based on the activity
Legs: kinetic surge (at least 2, if you still have an unused point, I recommend 1 innervation);
Class item: 1 time dilation, 1 reaper and 1 powerful attraction (again if you have an unused point, go with 1 bombardier);

to answer your renewal grasp pvp question at the end, they weren't able to separate the DR in pvp and pve at the time of its nerf so it got nerfed in both. when they were able to separate the DR between the modes, it was buffed up. Renewal was absolutely broken in pvp at the time as was YAS I'm very happy they got nerfed

Glad you said it. Titans literally will have 1 or 2 stupid strong builds and then a dozen mediocre builds. While hunter and warlock tend to have 4 or 5 very strong builds. But those 1 or 2 titans builds are insanely powerful so its not the worst trade off. But I do miss my bonk hammer build even though its all I used for nearly 2 years. I also miss old HoIL.
with the titan in GM I don't know what build to use, seeing what the hunter and warlock do it seems to me that everything sucks, the titan is too nerfed, it only works to do broken things
@@LaLo-fp2qb In GMs you can still run banner of war strand titan or abeyant leap. It kinda depends on your team though. HoIL isn't bad on arc if you team is more of the type to play kinda slow and hang back. You can let abilities regen and wait for the arc traces. But I do have to agree in GMs titan builds are limited.
@@youdontneedtoknow1154 As a titan main. I can tell you this is the case. Titans have the strand punch build or the abeyant leap build. Those are the 2 stupid strong builds that work for all activities.

@@Superdazzu2 I still wouldn't put that as an S tier build. It's good in some activities but not great in others. Plus it's super high risk high reward. Even if you rate that as an S tier it doesn't fix the issue of titans having a couple super good builds and then a ton of mediocre at best builds.
Im a console player so its tough to take a build screen shot. But I wanted to make a entry into will it build. Ive been trying to get my friends to try my Strand Warlock build. Aspects - Mindspun Inv - Shackle nade, & Wanderer. Fragments - Continuity, Generation, Warding, Mind. Felwinters Helm - siphons, Heavy ammo, Hands-on. Arms - Heavy handed, melee kickstart, momentum transfer, Chest , resists and charged up. Legs - heals and surges. Class - 2 outreach, reaper. Primary Ammo - Brigands law, puglist/volt shot. Special - conditional finality/new pacific epitaph w/puglist. Heavy - dealers choice for the encounter. Felwinters just weakens so many enemies and allows Brigands to chew through em in chunks and refills the melee. I often swap out a surge for solar holster with parasite.
After watching, I think that Gyrfalcon should’ve been S-Tier. I also think that Vesper of Radius should be high A-Tier considering you think Sunstar is an S-Tier build.
G-falco tries to take a defensive oriented subclass and give it offensive power, because of that it doesn’t really play to the nightstalkers strengths and instead makes it compete against gunslinger and especially arcstrider in a offensive competition it will never win. It’s only trait that makes it relevant over an assassins cowel arcstrider is that it can be used at range, an advantage that’s becoming less and less important in gms and other high end content over having killing power.
Combined with graviton lance masterworked.... Filthy

hell naw the contraverse holds are even stronger in higher end content where enemies tick the grenade damage for longer.

The important parts of the build.
- Revenant
-The exotic stasis bow.
- fragments, shattering crystals decreases grenade recharge
- whisper of torment
- being around crystals gives DR
- defeating slowed or frozen enemies gives class ability energy
Whatever mods like bomber, melee DMG = grenade energy, heavy handed. Stasis generating orb. Reaper.
Idk if stasis surges effect crystals. I think shatter dive makes the crystals do less damage. Breaking them periodically keeps timer for ability Regen at 10 seconds
Ion think its a gm lv build but just bored and trying stuff
YAS would have been amazing with Dragon’s Breath. I’m disappointed we’ll never be able to see that damage rotation at full strength.

Build up WK Snareweaver, and cast into crowd. Cast emp rift to summon your void soul, and deploy. Pick up orbs of power and void breaches for devour buff and quick ability regen . Use Vouchsafe to get overshield and cause void explosions, extending devour. Use sword to send dmg to weakened draining target(s). Rinse and repeat.
Note: this build requires the weapons and their perks listed above.
Tips: Deploy void soul to tougher enemies and use the adds to build up WK. For bosses, make sure you pick up an orb of power for unraveling rounds, shoot with WK to proc, then hit with void soul, use super, deploy overcharged vortex gr, then use Dragoncult Sickle from close or far for max DPS.
Used this to beat Nord Avalon Legend solo

Controverse Hold is defenatelly not B tier.I aslo think it succeeds more in high-end cause the grenade refund comes from grenade damage which does not happen in easy content cause everything dies and while devour helps it is not the main source of refund.I'd suggest u try some other config next time.Good video tho!

Gonna be real with you, putting hammer Titan in B is a bad take imo. You need to get used to the small wait time sure, but it’s just an adjustment period and honestly I still use it and don’t have any problems murdering everything in my path. Once Roaring Flames is up, your regular punch becomes more effective and you can even set off ignitions.
Throw hammer, punch, throw hammer, punch, and in that loop you get random ignitions with Roaring flames.

I still run the Arc Fallen Sun Star build, though the hardest stuff I do is Legend Lost Sectors. It does seem to mow through those with ease. I have a set of volt shot primaries that I use depending on range requirements/champion mods.
I can't put down my crown of tempest. Is fallen sunstar really better?
@@Byronpulpo They both provide lots of ability up time which is the key to this build. One relies on traces the other on kills...pick your poison.

Fallen Sunstar can be summed up with 1 phrase, "The best CC is death"
He’s not kidding about that arc build, I remember back in season 20 I seen a vid he made on it and ever since then it’s been my favorite build ever, it’s to bad arc isn’t really meta right now but hopefully next season the artifacts are good because I can’t wait to run it
So 1 S-tier Titan build, 3 Warlock and 6 for Hunter, and I do not enjoy playing the Hunter so of course it'd be this way. Warlock is good though and I'll try that Arc build. Thanks for all your work in buildcrafting and getting them on to Mobalytics - I like having a reference after I watch the video explaining the build (or following the video link from the build there).
As a Titan main, Synthoceps with Banner of War is the way to go! Throw on a 1-2 Punch Shotty and you are really destroying stuff with your melee and constant heals!!
I also think Gurfalcons is S tier. I’ve used it in ‘s several times with ease!
For warlock, I love the Strand Necrotic Grips build! I’m going to have to try out that Arc Warlock build as usually use either Geomag or Crown of Tempest on Arc Warlock.
Calibans hand needs a buff - proximity knife deals 50% more damage for every other ability that has a full charge (dodge, grenade and super). So you can have 150% more damage on the proximity knife and lean into the ignitions even on harder content. Its amazing in low to mid tier content but falls off as soon as you get any higher than legendary content.
Each Tuesday I'm staring at my loadouts before going into a Nightfall or rotating raid thinking, "I don't know what to kill you with!" We're at a point where there's not just 1 meta, or 1 meta per subclass but multiple! I still like my Oathkeepers over Shard of Galanod, Ticuu's & Hierarchy are just fun this season and I grinded a ton to get the later bow.
Sixth coyote strand hunter bumps to S if you use it for decoy spam with wellspring/demo judgment of Kelgorath. Slot in any grenade (I use threadlings for bolstering detonation), any of the strand exotic primaries and cataphract or apex and you’re cooking.

I am a solar hunter main and I found out that bungie nerfed ahamkara’s spine when I used its build in a raid. Imagine that, going into last wish and in the middle of the first encounter dieing all because I couldn’t get my trip mine back
Imagine the feeling when the RON day 1 started and without warning necrotic grips were disabled. That kinda fucking sucked tbh.

Arc Warlock build (ChiefHairyNipz) (contender with fallen sun star?)
i made this simple arc build cause i couldn't find an arc build i felt was for me (tested in a solo run of the coil and completed it).
SUPER: your choice i ran chaos reach for boss dmg
ABILITIES: healing rift, your choice of jump, ball lightning, and either pulse grenade or storm grenade
ASPECTS: arc soul and electrostatic mind
FRAGMENTS: beacons, shock, ions and discharge
WEAPONS: really anything arc and if you can voltshot(but not needed) i ran coldhart and forbearance with ambitious assassin and reaction. coldhart seem to create more ionic traces and forbearance cleared adds quicker. the heavy and kinetic slots are your choice but i ran sleepless in the heavy slot with bipod and tracking module and tigerspite in the kinetic with demo and overflow but a good option is crimson in kinetic slot for more consistent heals.
EXOTIC: mantle of battle harmony(chest)
MODS:
HEAD: Dynamo/ ashes to assets, special ammo finder, harmonic siphon.
ARMS: bolstering detonation, firepower, grenade kickstarter.
CHEST: arc reserves, element resists of your choice.
LEGS: innervation, insulation, recuperation.
CLASS: reaper, bomber, powerful attraction
GAMEPLAY LOOP:
rift to get arc soul, grenade or melee group of enemys shoot with arc weapon to get abilities and super charged if you run out of special and/or abilities us demo gun to get grenade back to continue loop. super when needed or want.
I like this video, it’s the first one I’ve watched in a while but it felt more real than almost of the previous videos of yours I’ve watched. And I get why that is, you’re playing the RUclips game, you gotta make every video seem like it’s the most special thing to draw in the views, but coming down to earth in this video was really nice too.
I 100 percent agree that weavewalk warlock is s tier. One thing though is I really like lucky pants on stasis Hunter. It has crazy synergy and with radiant easy to get on any subclass this season it is even more of an advantage on stasis Hunter.

honestly, solar titan with peregrine greaves which can litterally oneshot champions in master lost sectors (while ALSO having tons of survivability) seems the most broken shit to me, even void titan with peregrine can hit 800+ k damage with A MELEE meanwhile the hunter needs a super to get even close LOL

The reason Renewal Grasps/Stasis Hunter was so good was because of a fragment. Bungie nerfed the exotic but then nerfed the fragment because of how OP it was on other classes. Then they undid the Renewal nerf because the fragment is what carried the whole build. So that's why it's not as good now.
A little bit more love for the arc vesper build would be much appreciated 😂

Briarbinds for arena wide weaken.
Dragons breath for radiant
Any arc weapon with volt shot and arc siphon
Any strand weapon for unravel on orb pick up
Echo of starvation for devour on orb pick up
Echo of harvest for orbs and breaches on weaken kills.

I started off as a titan because being a brute seemed the most fun, then I realized I could do a lot more damage as a warlock so I mained warlock. Finally I decided to choose hunter well rounded in both pve and PvP takes a bit more skill which makes it more rewarding making nice plays, hunter is too much fun for the other classes to compare.
Starfire could be a-tier use phoenix dive, heat rises, 2 stacks of dynamo, and anything that helps you get grenades faster

The reason assasians cowl didn't get a nerf is because content creators weren't whining about it in pvp. Gotta say I appreciate your style and the fact that you have kept your humility. I've had to unsub from a few d2 youtubers because they've just gotten too full of themselves. You've been my go to channel for builds and will be for the foreseeable future.

Gyrfalcons hunter is S. It's the best exotic hunters have (and its not even close).
Contraverse void warlock and soul void warlock both deserve tier S.
Stasis omni warlock is also S tier, not mentioned in the video.
Eh, gyrfalcons falls off to hard in gms and master raids, most solar builds will outperform it in ability uptime healing and damage, assassins cowl can outperform on survivability and damage, infinite tether has more utility with similar survivability, omnis is the best survivability in the game, gyefalcons is really only the best in some niche pvp builds, mid-low content and solo play
synthos minihammer for everything legend and below is perfect, including raids. cant really do much endgame though

8:08 this makes me sad. I've been stuck on hoil, stronghold(now with only lament after sword changes) and synthos for such a long time and nothing else matches what I do on hunter/warlock that isnt insanly inconsistant.

I used and refined some of those builds as my main overtime and here is what I think of what I used / use still and what's planned and maybe wish to see a video about (Careful it's very long!)
- Hunter :
Solar : Nighthawk. Old Y.A.S. user, the nerf it went through really killed the exotic for me and the overall solar hunter, leaving only, as Solar exotics, Burst Super (Nighthawk/Shards) as interesting as Caliban is nowhere near strong despite wanting to work as well. Nighthawk is cool but not as fun.
Arc : Cowl. Very interesting and somewhat fun to use but hard to get going. It also come with he annoying downside that severely impact the build if playing with teammates. If there is not enough adds to get the ball rolling or your teammates kills things too fast, you're reduced to do little. I'm considering a change to Shinobu's Vow but I'm afraid Arc also suffer the "good exotics but meh overall" syndrome
Void : Gyrfalcon. My actual main build. Gyrfalcon for me is amazing. Exotics working great with it, great synergies, I really enjoy it but can, sometimes, be weak against bigger targets. It remains for me the exotic I use everywhere.
Stasis : A very tough choice. When I made the choice, it was Frostees. But after the unnerf of Renewal, I'm coming back to these because they're quite strong and can be used on yourself or enemies to grant resist or weaken enemies damage, on top of freezing them.
Strand : For Strand, I considered a few options I'm still working on, namely a "ninja" style build using Coyote with the decoy. Still a WIP.

- Warlock :
Solar : The nerf to Starfire, while logical, felt overtuned and killed the exotic for most. So naturally, I'm considering the "Floor is Lava" build, aka Sunbracers. Looks cool, fun and can do some big dps still.
Arc : The only arc build I considered for Arclock was... Sunstar, actually. No other builds felt interesting and the only other I was interested in was Getaway Artist and... we have an aspect for that.
Void : Void has two choice for me : Nezarec or Contraverse. I tend to lean more on Contraverse as, while passive, it gives bonus on every ability, including super iirc, and give me a reason to use Osmosis weapons.
Stasis : Osmiomancy. Not too hard when it's sole opponent is Wrathweavers. Good CC, can be used on turret mode for easy CC or direct mode for more aggressive plays or against bigger targets like champions.
Strand : Strandlock was a hard choice but I really wanted to make Swarmers work because it looked really cool to play as essentially a summoner. I've yet to make the build but damn does it sound amazing and fun to use.

- Titan :
Solar : I wasn't sure what to go for. Considered bonk Synthoceps then it got nerfed. Current option... unknown. Tried Ashen Wake, felt like the moment you miss, you lose the whole build. Tried Burning Step, stressful build that ask you to keep the build up at all time. Tried Lorelei, felt too passive to be interesting and provide use on emergency most of the time..
Arc : HoIL. Easy choice for me. Choice made when it was op and still want to go for it because while PCCB is fun... it's only tied to the melee and is not usually very safe to use.
Void : Hard choice. I went with Second chances as I like the idea of being a wannabe captain america over trying to overextend my super with Doomfang.
Stasis : Not much good choices... But I went with Hoarfrost Z because it could be useful to get regen on abilities. WIP.
Strand : I was thinking of using Abeyant Leap but it was before the infamous banner of war came in. I'm... considering a Synthoceps build with how bonker it is still. Or maybe Stronghold. I'm not sure which is better.

Hoil got hit with the classic player nerf. Any time anything gets nerfed in games 90% of people assume it's dead and never use it again, without ever trying it after the nerf to see if it is actually dead.
Cytracnes easily s tier tho. Ability uptime to rival fallen sunstar. 45% damage resist. Grapple melee actually slaps. And fragment that makes tangles with weapons while you have woven mail to safely spam a grapple up close to reload and proc woven mail in hard content. And one of highest damage base roaming supers. Solid in gms absolutely cracked and a blast in everything else. It's easily on of hunters best builds I use it in everything and almost always have twice the add kills as my teammates. Even just using grapple to releod your weapons with a grapple has so much value. Use celestial for boss dps. Strand for everything else. S tier in my eyes
Strand hunter sucks in master content.. Not enough dps
