If you’re constantly healing, I feel like Tommy’s Matchbook could be an interesting exotic to use for this build
For about 9 seconds before the most recent nerf, I used the Matchbook with my Loreley titan, so I was constantly healing while overheated.
It was actually really fun and strong, so I imagine with permanent restoX2, it would definitely be way better.
Thinking the same thing! Trying it tonight
Yeah but in what level of content, there's very little wiggle room the higher up go towards endgame where 95% of primaries are near close to useless
@@chillhour6155Tommy's surprisingly actually does good damage in stuff like gms, probably due to ignitions and it's trace rifle like damage
@@StrawberrySinjuThe ignitions also give you high super uptime, had a sort of "ability chain" build w Dragon's Shadow for like dealing tons of damage, and in GM, it netted me a 1:30 minute average cooldown on Silence and Squall with T7 intellect (Which is like 7:30 minute cooldown)
Idea for the series : What about posting a dim link of what you've settled on for the build by the end of the episode?
Yes, exactly!
I would like this a lot (or a moba link). I like sharing build with my partners, but they won’t watch a meandering video. They just want to know what to slot so they can go.
Then what’s the purpose of content I’m not here to here him yap I’m here to learn lol.
@@julianlapierre6789so that you can copy the build easily to adopt it yourself. Fairly obvious, stupid
@@julianlapierre6789then watch the video? 😂 how tf does adding a DIM link affect your experience on a build video
I clicked on this video because I saw that you were looking at a build that I'd been running since season start. You read off the recommended things and I was a little confused at some of the choices but figured that the build was probably still decent with that setup. You then proceeded to make small changes like phoenix dive and incinerator snap to arrive at something much closter to the setup I've had since the start of the season. Super fun build, but I'd like to add a couple things I noticed while running various activities.
1. You absolutely can turn this into a heat rises build, but I think this version is much more fun.
2. Any incandescent weapon works with this build. I enjoyed my time with sunshot, calus mini tool, and polaris lance.
3. For a kinetic slot weapon, I really enjoyed one-two punch shotguns to pair with incinerator snap for decent single target damage.
4. Lastly, while testing a few different fragment setups, I noticed that incinerator snap can proc ember of searing by itself. Meaning that if you hit a small group of 4-5 ads and get the kills with your melee (or the ignition it causes) you can get anywhere from 25-50 percent of your melee back instantly with no help from anything other than the fragment.
I'm still messing with mods and I personally enjoy solar nades because of the amount of scorch they produce to groups, but the build is so versatile that you can kinda use whatever and still get away with it. Whenever I try a build I try it with no seasonal or armor mods to see where it's lacking and to see if it's viable season to season, and I was super impressed by how it performed completely bare bones. Cool to see you look into the build man.
If you've got it, I found abyss defiant (pugilist, incandescent) to be my favorite solar primary for this kinda setup.
It's got worse damage which makes setting up the finisher...
But with all the incinerator snap kills, cursed thrall + incandescent will pick up the slack for add clear.
I use these grips on a void warlock build with vexcalibur, devour, void over shield, and restoration at all times, I love it!
I use it with Strand Warlock, eat the Suspend grenade, and hold right click, tap left click like crazy, and tap Finishers when I can. Everything gets suspended, me and team get shields (from Vexcalibur), and restoration x1 or 2 from Karnstein
I see you!
Didn’t even try this and I already know this is a banger of an alternative..
Someone watches plunder lol
One big thing to keep in mind about Ember of Solace is Firesprites will reset your restoration timer to whatever it was initially. This means if you have solace on, it jumps back up to 12 seconds. On the other hand, if you don't have it on, it'll reset your timer to 8 seconds. This can feel really bad if you have built up more than 8 seconds with Empyrean as you'll lose that extra time. One more suggestion for after this season is that you replace Ember of Searing with Ember of Tempering. This will let any solar weapon final blow create Firesprites instead of just abilities which will be on timers.
The most informative videos ever, for a casual over 50 solo player who doesn't have anybody to play with, these videos have helped me so much! Keep up the good work!
I'm also 'over 50', but l run a clan and have plenty of people for you to run with if you're interested. It's very active, friendly, helpful and we teach raids and dungeons, we don't gatekeep. What unfortunately needs to be said these days though is that it's a progressive crowd, the only people unwelcome in the clan is bigots and misogynists. If you're good with that, message back and we'll set something up. Either way, take care.
You definitely said a mouthful, I’m over 50 as well and I’m in a clan but I play 95 percent alone and I go through that exact thing and I’m thinking that I need more people like me that will help cause I’m a casual player ie., meaning I play almost every day but I’m not no RUclips player, I’m a basic player trying to do my content and have fun 😊
@@lakwan37 Hey Lakwan. If you need players to roll with look for k2raygun8 on bungie and send a request.
Seems like the over 50 Guardian group is larger than most think. Also over 50, in a clan but play solo. I consume everything and anything except end game PVE as I don't have anyone to run with. I've tried LFG but it's hit or miss, so with little time to play it just doesn't seem worthwhile to risk trying to LFG only to find yourself in a toxic group. But I'm happy to see us out there. Eyes up Guardians!
BTW: Mactics love your videos, thank you!
@lakwan37 so there is alot of us out there, I do play every day as well , after work , just to unwind, do some bounties and strikes ect, would love to do more endgame activities, but with having a full time job that only leaves some weekends and maybe evenings, hard to find like minded people to play with! My gamer name is gotshecter, if your interested in playing together! Take care .
In team content, you can swap searing for benevolence and have way higher ability uptime
16:07 - the issue with Recuperation with this particular build is that your health is going up and down so much because of Restoration x1 and x2 that you may not notice the chunks of health that Recuperation gives when picking up an Orb of Power.
My personal favorites are the baby fallen and the best friend (dog). A friend of mine made a friend in crucible using the fallen baby emote to "look" over a rock, and the guy messaged him while laughing hysterically 😂
My favorite is looking out
favorite emote is a combo of Hatchling Huddle and Free Throw. if you time it right you end up dribbling the hatchlings and it’s always hilarious to watch lfgs react to that.
Flailing Dance emote has a special place in my heart because its "The Perfect Cast" dance from the Goofy Movie. One of my favorite animated films.❤
Well of Radiance gives you basically a higher restoration buff, i believe it is x3 restoration that is why when you step into well of radiance its healing buff supercedes your current x2 Restoration buff and thus it goes away
this works with a solar glaive too. each melee gives cure and restoration
probably the best build video ive seen . thank you
I think that since Well applies Radiant and Restoration as part of it's total perk application, it might nullify the original single applications from the fragments and exotics in favor for the Super versions as a balance thing.
I think I saw somewhere that in the background, Well technically gives you Resto x3, it just doesn't show as that on your screen
100% the Grooving Dance emote. After beating a guardian in trials, you pull out that little bad boy and watch your messages flood 😂
i can tell you with 100% certainty that 8 seconds is not long enough to find another enemy.
especially when you're either in a fireteam thats kicking ass too fast, or you're in a mission thats very spaced out and enemies are few and far between, take the warmind stuff for example, even the dungeon that stayed behand post-season (spire of the watcher) all of the enemies are spaced out, and if you're trying to snipe harpies with your melee, you need to account for travel time.
Yep
@@ambulance_driver9477 your mom said 8 seconds inside her doesn't stop it from being incest
Add healing grenade to the combo 😉
The hunter sit is honestly my favorite, it’s simple and I get a lot of cool screenshots with it ngl.
I’ve been enjoying the the grinch stole Christmas, Christmas. Tree emote that’s in Eververse rn, crazy we have a Christmas tree in game. Wish everyone luck on the emblem, thanks for all the guides!
Flailing dance is for sure my favorite. It’s why I started playing destiny again. When it came out I saw it on tiktok and I was like I want that. So I got my friend Tom to help me get started and I’ve been playing ever since
Absorb the Ether is a fun emote, especially as you're resurrecting a teammate.
That emblem is bad ass!
my main emote
It’s 2:46 Eastern Time, January 03, 2024. Favorite E•Mote is Disc Jockey since I DJ in real time
As a warlock and lore nerd, any of the book summoning emotes. But normally the book emote with the seat and a bubble pipe
wild interaction with restoration and the well. for sure did not know that. thanks mac!
One thing I noticed from watching these: look at how diverse your build options are when you don't have to worry about Champions. Champs are such a fun killer when it comes to endgame content for me. I understand endgame requires meta builds, but when a top-tier build's only weakness is that it doesn't deal with Champs, that is a flaw with the overall game design.
You're just plain wrong tbh
at the end of the video after trying all these options out could you post a screen shot of all the mods, aspects etc? I'm watching the video to see how things are working and not taking notes and some of these videos go through a number of iterations, it's hard to remember what the final build was.
As a solo Warlock wanting to try solo dungeon runs, this is perfect !! Methodical explication is spot on... you have a new subscriber!
loving the videos!!!! please dont stop them!!!
Matic... use this arm on the void warlock... trust me. Devour, volatile rounds, void over shield, plus..... instant cure and restoration x 2 with finishers... for 8 sec then 12 with follow up finishers. Devour on full time. Great dungeon build. Enjoy.
I’ve been using a mixed bag warlock build . Strand :weave walk+ wanderer, grapple grenade healing rift frags: continuity, evolution, propagation . Exotics wish keeper and swarmers. Blinding grenades and rockets with bipod. Occasionally use grapple to get out of bad situations, in case of emergency weave walk, drop rift on exit. Unraveling rounds plus suspension traps from wishkie dynamo, harmonic siphon momentum transfer, stax on stax strand weapon surge invigoration proximity ward distribution outreach on the the armor. I skipped chest for obvious reasons. Idk how good it is but I suck and I’m doing pretty decent in legend lost sectors like not breaking a sweat at all. So if I wanted to get seriously you guys I could probably run some more difficult content. And I’m still getting comfortable with it and tweaking it. I’d love some notes.
My favorite emote is the feast of feelings, I love how the emote is eating ice cream in the rain lol
The new Angelic Hover emote from the premium dawning ticket thing is so beautiful. I really love that one.
favorite emote is the chair emote never gets old seeing the enemy fly across the room
Favorite emote currently is probably the knighting emote. Fits with the dungeons and dragons-y theme of WR
I’ve been running this build with a glaive - every glaive melee kill install grants cure x3. You are able to take so much damage it’s insane.
This build might be intresting with the song of flames super that will release in final shape
I love the trombone emote so much, it is amazing to use in trials after getting a funny kill and great in raids after watching someone fall to their death in a jumping puzzle
So many trombones when I do a jumping puzzle!
I know this content grind has been hard on ya with how great these all are, just wanna send some good love your way brother! we see the work your putting in and appreciate the unseen hours that is hard with content creation! KEEP GRINDING
Galloping knight is my favorite multiplayer or bureaucratic walk is my favorite solo emote. I grew up watching Monty Python with my dad and finding it so hilarious, and finding these Easter eggs in game connects it to me even more.
Best destiny build video series ive run up on
Favorite emote to this day is still "ANOTHER!". Because of not only the message it puts in chat which is, "[ ] wants another!", but it's just fun to pull right after a great kill.
Fave emote?
Its a combo of "Championship Dance" followed by "Silly Handshake"
It gives off a 'come over here vibe' that's useful for blueberry help.
Love the "Feline Fancy" emote. The slight purring you can hear is just music to my ears.
I have an emote loop with man's best friend, attention, and celebration. The dog will stay as you change the emote and you get to show him off to everyone like the good boy he is
My favorite emote is the DJ one I’m always bringing the vibes for the fireteam! Love the videos by the way!
My favorite emote is sweep the area. It’s funny looking at a wall near a door and think ‘hmm where’s the way through’.
I love using the hugging emote, shows my appreciation to their contribution to the activity
I always enjoy the Confused emote, just because Pulp Fiction is a classic.
My favourite emote is the Appreciation one. I love the rainbow emote. I use it all the time at the end of runs to let the other people know that I appreciate their time.
I'm not sure if others have commented on how truly strange the Restoration buff timer is, but basically, if you're running Solace, Karnstein will give you 12 seconds of Restoration x1 on a melee kill, or 12 seconds of x2 on a finisher. From here, any Restoration buff refresh will reset that timer all the way up to 12 seconds, even the pickup of a Firesprite when running Mercy (which normally only gives 3 seconds), and even if its x2 (it will stay x2 even if you're only getting a x1 refresh). HOWEVER, if you start your buff timer with the 3 second max from a Firesprite, and Empyrean buffs you up to 12 seconds, picking up another Firesprite will set you back down to 3, because that's where your initial buff timer started. MOREOVER, if you get a melee kill, which would normally buff you up to 12 seconds, after you started with a Firesprite, it will seemingly merge the two to give you a completely new base timer of 8 seconds; don't ask why. It's also worth noting that Empyrean just adds 4 seconds to the timer, with or without Solace, but this does not affect the starting point of your timer. Ultimately, Solace is very good in this case because it aligns the refresh cap with the cap that Empyrean gets you to, preventing basically anything from resetting you to below 12 seconds, as long as you start with 12, which allows you to take maximum advantage of even the smallest Restoration buff resets. Not running Solace reduces this base buff cap to 8 seconds, and while Empyrean can keep you above it, Restoration refreshes will bring you back to 8 at best. TL;DR: run Solace, never start your buff timer with a Firesprite (or healing grenade for that matter), and once you're at x2, you'll stay there. Hope this helps.
I've been running a similar build and keep coming back to the BXR. It's one of the few weapons that can run demolitionist and incandescent, is easily the best primary that can run the combination, and is also the only craftable primary that can run the combination for enhanced perks. Being able to generate both grenade and melee energy (with the one fragment that causing scorth grants melee energy) feeds nicely into this build.
I've not liked the way pulses have felt this season but BXR is always a good pick.
My favorites right now are "popcorn" and "protecting teammates"! Love your channel!
Fun fact about Sunshot.if u kill an enemy with a precision shot and the explosion kill at least 2 or 3 enemies u get radiant from Flint Striker artifact oerk
My favorite emote is the firework stomp, really love all the sparkles. Think I might be half magpie - half human.
Sad Trombone, especially during recurring wipes on Raids. Fav emote
Fav emote definitely roasting some marshmallows with the boys, huddled ‘round the campfire, singing campfire songs
lovely vid as always! but no DIM link? :(
fav emote, "Dubious correlation". pretty funny when explaining anything in game
I love the emote "samba" on my female warlock with Season of defiance Techeun Regalia gear on default colors + Fallen sunstar. I feel so pretty and fabulous on them. :3
The new "Take out the Trash" emote where you sit yourself in a trashcan has become a fast favorite. Who doesn't love a little self-deprecation?
Plus, it moves your character forward a little allowing some fun clipping situations to arise.
Love the vids Mactics, keep it up!
hehe i love having the good old standard laugh emote that's green. its good to have if you lfg or do playlist activities a lot with blueberries.
I am loving the “kiddie pool” multiplayer emote. Just a fun 3 player emote which is nice when running strikes with blueberries and just chill in the pool at the end of the strike.
I love hitting the torture dance at the end of pvp activities (because why not). I also quite like the consult the archives emote
My fave emote is the knife flip! Keep up the great work Mactics ❤
Favorite emote is the square dance one - works really well with the cowgirl Titan in heels look
My bad I left stuff out. Thanks for covering my build. I recommended celestial fire so you can get a melee kill from a good distance away with the snap melee you have to be right up in their face. Also I believe Celestial fire has a lower cooldown. I didn’t recommend any heavy’s or kinetic slot weapons because they’re not super important to the build I normally run the new strand fusion or Riptide in the kinetic with either apex predator or Dragon’s breath. And after some more testing I actually made the same change as you with Solace to Torches so great minds think alike!. Great video as per usual Mac! My favorite emote is No Escape it’s so funny an goofy.
Celestial Fire has greater cooldown than Snap. So snap is most definitely better in almost every scenario. Plus if we're talking about activities where we need to play safe then the low damage of the Celestial fire won't guarantee a kill on its own, whereas the snap will always cause an ignition if used properly and can guarantee kills.
The whole build revolves around being near enemies cause Melee Kills, Finishers, etc so running something to play from a distance doesn't make sense.
Love this video series, thank you for continuing to make them!
Thought it couldn’t get better, then I realised - Who Dey! 🖤🧡
G'Day Mactics, love these build videos and I've gotten through Legend LS with your builds too. Fave emote of all time is the sit on toy sparrow. I bust that out every chance I get. Cheers
Actually my current solar lock build, change a hand cannon out for a Calus Mini-tool and a chill clip riptide & dragons breath, soloing content is ridiculously fun & i solo flawlessed warlords while at 1809(after like 20 attempts) just got back into destiny for this season, going to try to solo flawless all the dungeons soonish
I quite like the Stares Intensely emote I picked up recently (where you sit at a desk with Gendo glasses) cause I'm somewhat new to the game, and its nice to have a rest positions while listening to explainations :D
can add scatter signal with slice to toss some strand into the mix as well
The confused emote, Pulp Fiction reference is my absolute favorite. Can be used in endless scenarios!
My favourite emote by far is ‘Salute to the Lords’. Beautiful emote and has some funny interactions with some dances.
My favorite emote has to be the skele dance. Been absolutely loving these build videos, keep up the great work.
Ok I have a build Idea but it is more for fun than for hardcore endgame:
*Subclass:* *Aspects* *Fragments*
Strand Weavewalk | Mindspun Evolutuin | Warding | Fury
*Armor:*
*Helmet:* Dawn Chorus (yes, you've read that right - Scorch = Meele Energy) Solar Siphon
*Gauntlets:* Heavy Handed | Greande Kickstart
*Chest:* Charged up
*Legs:* Invigoration (as many as you want)
*Class:* Outreach (as many as you want)
*Weapon*
Scatter Signal
Abyss Defiant - Pugilist | Incandescent
Dragons Breath
*Artifact*
Flint | Kindling | Rays
Torch | Unraveling |Horde
What the hell am I building?
*Artifact* allows the following:
Solar precision hits (Abyss Defiant) make you radiant -> Precision kills for Ignitions
-> Solar Weapons apply *Scorch*
-> More DMG to unraveld targets
Now you can get some nice explosions here and there for ad clear as *Incandescent*,*Cursed thrall* origin perk and *Ignitions* clear some adds. Additionally while radiant you apply scorch to enemies which leads to meele energy.
When you are radiant and have picked up an orb, you do increased damage with *Scatter Signal* because of *Torch* and *Unreaveling Orbs* if you are lucky a threadling may spawn too.
For "Boss DPS" you hit the enemy with *Dragons Breath* and activate *Weavewalk*. *Dragons Breath* meanwhile applies good chunks of *Scorch* which refunds *Meele Energy*
Nothing really Mind-Blowing but I had a lot of fun testing it on the moon at the altars of sorrow
One of my favorite emotes is one currently unobtainable, the selfie one. I love when my friends use it when we beat a raid or dungeon. As for my favorite I have, I love the cat ear dance because of all the dance memes
Personal favorite emote is the valkyrie “thou shall not pass” emote. Great reference and I Love everything Rasputin and orange.
My favorite emotes are the tutu dance (from Ace Ventura), the pizza box fire (scene from Community), and the sitting table catches on fire meme.
My favourite emote in D2 is the dancing emote called "Bone Boogie"
Slip on ice emote is my favorite it’s just funny
Ok so i will suggest a build and its for strand warlock its my own creation as far as i know but it clears ads and does ok damage to bosses and such.
Aspects: the wanderer and mindspun invocation
Fragments: evelution, generation, fury and continuity
Grenade: grapple
Exotic: necrotic grips
Helmet mods: harmonic siphon hands on special ammo finder
Gauntlet mods: heavy handed melee kickstart or what ever you feel works better
Chest: whatever you prefer for resistances or such
Legs: recuperation, absolution and invigoration
Bond: distribution, powerful attraction and outreach
Weapons: wish keeper, shotgun and any heavy you prefer
That's it if you do test this hope you enjoy it and its just for fun and vibes no real combos unless you know about the combos you can pull off with this.
Favourite emote has got to be the tacky sweater, close second could be sneaky thief, especially if you enjoy yeeting smallen
You could use Judgment of Kelgorath in stead of Sunshot, as Karnstein works with glaive kills
Waas running a similar build but made some adjustments thanks to this video!
For favorite emotes it gotta be the Glimmering Gunslinger both because of the involved chaos but also the flavor text being "kill them with kindness"
The jump rope emote has to be my favorite. I love to get a quick workout in before boss dps
i personally love the flaming hula hoops and sassy taunt emote. killing someone with invis hunter and throwing out a sassy taunt is so amusing.
The new Dragon Roar emote from the season pass has become a new favorite of mine. Since fashion is the true endgame of Destiny I paried it with the warlock Trials dragon set to pull it all together.
Get on the train
cerebral explosion has never been unequipped since i got it, i like to do it whenever my friends start to explain anything super obvious
I've been having fun with a blue emote recently (it is a stench reaction): Olfactory Gesture
Love these vids helped me make my builds more lethal and favorite emote is the bird flock
Mactics: I like simple builds that just work
Also Mactics: Let me make this build more and more complex.
My favorite emote is the Alliterative Dance. It’s silly and lighthearted, and reminds me to still have fun (or try to lol) regardless of how sweaty the game can sometimes get.
Favorite emote is the Toss the popcorn and miss it lol. With Celestial NH in it looks like a Bird trying to eat seeds 😂
Me 'trying to teleport' emote is my fav now. But the DJ-emote still remains in the cycle as well. That nice beat keeps me moving too ;-)
been loving these videos been watching for a minute my fav emote has gotta be the selfie one
I'm so happy to see oddball exotics getting love. Used run these back in the day.
my favorite emote right now is the friendly feet dance, absolutely love the chainsaw man anime and seeing the dance in the game just brings me joy
Just used this build to finish my first solo Dungeon. Absolutely love this build!
I copied this exact build but I’m not getting restoration at all? Idk what I’m doing wrong 😅
