Leave some stall on your next launch a torque converter multiplies the engines torque for a short period but only when it can flash up to its stall point. If you left off idle in 4x4 you would pick up half a sec because of this. Just passing this info to you friend try it out and feel the difference

Agreed. A stock 6.2 resonator should work fine for the flow and clean up the chop.
A supercharger would be a nice add to that cammed 5.3,,,,, love my 18 silverado z71

Leave the muffler and add a reasonator to take out noise and drone., look on summit, vibrant has some super quite non restrictive reasonators that give more bass tone and take out drone.

Not sure if it’s just the sound of the video or not but I think it needs a lot better muffler. Sounds kinda like Chewbacca at lower RPMs.

I like it man. Not hating, I think it's cool. But that's less than stock coyote f150 with a tune and basic bolt ons numbers. The torque curve is beautiful, and that chop from the cam is something a coyote would be hard pressed to beat. You need to find someone with an 18 f150 and run them!

How much did you drop on the cam and the tune $$$ I have a 2016 I'm Thinking about camming nothing big, just a little bit of attitude. If it was an older model i would do it myself but I'm old school and haven't really done much past the vortec. things have realy changed a LOT!!

Shane , I had unsubscribed a while ago . I didnt really like how you lowered the truck and I didn't really understand where you were going with the truck but at the end of the day it's your truck and your money right . What got me was that bad ass cam at idle 😁 If it were me I would tone down that exhaust and put the truck back to stock ride height ,the truck would be a sleeper which IMO is much cooler. Sometimes being less flashy asking to be noticed is better.

Question for you on your launch. I'm used to Dodge trucks and I know they tend to launch better from a stab of the pedal rather than stalling it up on the converter as the torque management tends to pull timing when doing that. Something to play with at the track and see if your 60ft gets better by stabbing it or by stalling it up on the converter. Do you have a way to log the timing with your diablo? It would be interesting to see what its doing on a launch.

I'll probably end up doing the thermostat delete to the trans cooler lines. May look into the auxiliary lines and cooler as well.

I might go a little deeper from a 4.10 myself, my truck is lifted and the rims are heavy as ****, but im looking at upgrading to a 95mm TB, camming, and gutting all that crap on the exhaust. Hopefully have similar results to you!

What’s the duration & LSA rating on that cam? Also did you do an AFM delete?
AFM is deleted. Custom cam. So, can't say specs, but it's probably more appropriate for a 6.2L if that says anything.

On these trucks, they're alright for what they are. I've been in other vehicles with DBW and they don't have near the lag or heavy feeling this truck does, but it needs woken up bad.

My 15 only puts out 340hp at the wheels and it has a cam, long tube, tune, granitelli coil packs and plugs,
intake, 2800 stall. Did my tuner not do a good tune?
Probably not, my 14 Silverado makes 354 rwhp with l86 intake and ported throttle body headers and x pipe. No cam yet

Only actual gauge I have is the AEM AFR gauge so I can see my air/fuel ratio. Everything else is open for the time.

Looking to put one in but don’t want to change the torque converter and a bunch of parts, just a basic drop in one to wake it up some, thanks! I would suggest calling Texas speed and telling them exactly what you want and they can help you.
I have a 2012 Sierra 5.3 vortec. Was in the market for a good cold air setup. Do you recommend the afe momentum like you have ? I already have a tune and dual exhaust. Thanks brother
I love mine and how it looks, and I'm obviously not binded by or paid by AFe to say anything. So, I'd say it's a nice addition. May have it retuned later on so you can get the added benefits of the cold air intake.
