    I did this on my 2020 Sierra 1500 with the 5.3l L84 and after reinstalling the engine, it won’t start. I am stumped as to what is wrong. Every connector is back in place except the wiring that went to the sensors and crap under the valley cover. Other than that everything is tight and seems to be in the right spot. When I try to start it the dash goes dark and nothing happens. No starter click or anything. Then the dash comes back on. What could it be?

    • @TexasSpeedPerformance
      @TexasSpeedPerformance  11 месяцев назад +1

      There is no way around tuning a vehicle when doing a cam swap. At least if swapping to something that will actually show a change in performance. That aside, your '15 truck has DOD, which needs to be eliminated and turned off in the tune in order to do a cam swap.

    • @SI-oy7yx

    Did one this week. You don't need to pull the oil pan. After setting TDC marks on old sprockets turn the crank ~30 degrees and you can shimmy out the cam gear. Put heat on the harmonic balancer bolt to soften the face sealant and it come right out.

Next time you wanna take a crank pulley off just put a breaker bar on it and bump the starter. Watching you guys is like watching a bunch of monkeys humping door knob!
