Been watching your videos for a long ass time now and had to subscribe when I saw the Chevy! I just got a 16’ 2500hd Sierra with all the stock upgrades and the stock 8” head unit blows. I’m loving the 14” you installed and everything else you’ve done. You nailed it with this truck no matter what the haters say. Can’t wait to see what else you do bro!

Looks really good!!! I am a fan of the wheels too, but truly it what floats your boat since it's your truck and your channel!. Did jot see any flickering when re attaching the mirror lights. Awesome you made it an interactive video! A+ for that. (Hopefully you know my humor by now) I must say I do feel slided as the Porsche guys get credit for watching the video but not the E36 guys! Awesome! Painted parts looked great. When they are off, the black plastic underneath looked sort of burly and cool from a distance. Like a Ford raptor grill. Also bow tie looked great in stock form. Too much paint may make it look cheap in my opinion. Or a black bow tie.

Currently in the market for 2500 chevy or a gmc 2500. I love the color matched look! I agree that some can go overboard, but if done correctly, the "overboard" can look as good too. You sir, just gained a subscriber!

It is a nice looking truck! I'm going through the same stuff, making my new to me, 2017 Silverado mine. Bought it a year and slowly coming together. That's how i found your channel the video of the bed lights. My 17 needs tow mirrors and the only reason i haven't did them yet is because they are a pain, lol. Ps the wheels look good, don't worry about what others think as long as your happy! Shit, you might not like the wheels i put on mine? Lol My Dad used to say, every man wipes their ass a little bit different 😂😂😂
Came for the Porsche but love the truck. Definitely took it from looking like grandpa truck to cool. The wheels are growing on me. I’d like to see them without a stretch tire but it’s your truck you do you brother.
Whenever it needs tires they will be bigger, I promise lol.

The color match looks good, but just can't get on board with the wheel/tire set up. Put some 40s on it and lift it and the wheels might look alright.
I actually despise lift kits lol. Maybe a level at best. I'm not a huge mud tire kind of guy.
@Matt Ross yeah I feel you on that. I'm just saying that's the only way the stupid offset and width works. Is the truck had a level kit with 20x10 and some 35s it would look a million times better. All of your other trucks had been clean and decent wheel set ups. The brodozer wheels just don't fit with the clean look I'm used to seeing from. You

Are you bumpers color matched for the edition? Or did you wrap/paint them?
Bumpers were factory painted (high country). I had the mirrors and grill paint matched.

You just have a to find a body shop that's willing to do it and knows what they're doing. It can be done well. Mine has held up perfectly since I had it done.

Really like everything your doing with the truck so far man (minus the wheels and tires 😂) I have close to the same truck 2016 srw 3500 high country. Definitely might do the color match on the front like you did. Not the mirrors tho I like the black and chrome on mine since I have more black like wheels and emblems. Looking good tho man good job! Didn’t even know the radio upgrade was a thing till I saw yours. Might do that too after I do away with some “unneeded parts”

Check out my friend Phil Gamboa. He’s got great videos for upgrades as well. He sells the harnesses for most of the wiring needs of our trucks. I’ll be doing the Denali gauge cluster next on mine.

I ordered mine today from White Automotive & Media Services. You’ve got options because you’ve got a diesel. Price isn’t bad for a brand new cluster programed with your vehicle info. Plugs right in.

@@matt13ross Dang... I'll have to buy one of the new bigger ones than instead. You make the install look easy, but I'm assuming it can be hard to figure out the settings once everything is installed. Do they have good customer support to help a guy out if need be? Also is there something separate you need to get to make the radio compatible with the Bose system?
Bose works (mine has it). Customer support they have a few different emails and some type of calling system too. But I didn't need to use it.

I think you took off one too many bolts in the door panel.. should be around the door panel, one in the handle and two under the cover where you grab the handle to close the door

I hardly drive it, and any wheel / tire combo can throw up rocks.
I say black bow tie. I think if it were white, it would look like too much white. And current stock golden color is ugly. Also, some of the new trims have a black bow tie, so it would somewhat match newer trims. On another note, you should replace the fog lights to match the headlights. Currently curtains don't match the drapes.
The issue is, there's not really any other black on the truck, so I'm not sure. I do want to upgrade the fogs now though!
@@matt13ross I would argue that the black from the tires, tint, shadows within the front grill, and smoked lights is enough black to complement a black bow tie. Put some wrap on it just to see how it looks. I think you'd change your mind.

So, the reason that mirror brackets in general, and tow mirror brackets specifically, are always black, is because they are functional, yet universally agreed upon as ugly. Therefore, the black color helps them disappear. That being said, I've never understood guys color matching them. Especially in a white truck.

I would say I agree if the mirror caps weren't chrome. All back = trying to hide it, but then there's the chrome. I like the color matching. I also like the black mirrors with color matched caps.

Yes, the tire/wheel combo is ghetto. 1st, the tire is too narrow for the rim....curb rash coming. 2nd, it sticks out WAY too far from the fender, sooo fender flares required. This is my HO and is the weak point of a beautiful truck IMHO.😉

The new "in" wide tires at 16" wide, these are only 14" lol.
your tires are a hazard to drive on and theyre positioned wrong on the truck, the front left and right tires dont have the same rotation, one of them is on the wrong side of the truck, id say the front left one... dont cheap out on tires, they protect your head, not someone elses!
How are they a hazard? No one cheaped out, they are actually super expensive tires. In addition, these tiers are non directional, meaning they can be faced any direction.
they dont have any thread left, thats why they are a hazard to drive on, the cost of them doesnt matter!
maybe they dont have direction on them, but then they do have inside and outside written on them cause you have different patterns on your left and right front wheel and that cant be right! maybe you have two different types of tires on your front wheels which again isnt good...
They have plenty of tread left. And again, they are mounted correctly on all wheels.
