That’s a great idea really. Putting most reliable E92 engine into the most unreliable M3 ever would be a good idea. With proper tune it will smoke the S65

If you are keeping with the s65, call m539 for some help. do main bearings (upgrade), rod bearings (upgraded) and maybe build it to gts spec for more power.
If you going straight 6 just go B58.

The E92 M3 is a future classic for sure. Keep it, rebuild the engine with a stroker S65 and enjoy this thing. It deserves the garage spot next to the 911. Great channel by the way! Where has the E36 been?

Now that you’re in downtime, may I make a suggestion? Buy a damn car trailer. Get one that’s a little clapped out, install a winch on it, and for god’s sake paint it a cool color - anything but black.

335d swap it, put a solid m57 in there, some stage 3 turbo systems and some 50d injectors, dual r90 pumps.
Drill out the coolant port from the back side of head make a coolant hose reach there, then you can make reliable 500hp+ with over 1000NM.
Stock internals should be good to 500hp.
Make sure the injectors are up to date since only flaw is they eating up the pistons.
If you want you can try to put b57 pistons in m57 from 2022 pistons they are made of iron and not aluminium.
they should fit direct in, make it more reliable at 500+ hp
afterwards get a 8hp70, they cheap from 530d f10 in europe they cost around 900-1000 EUR.
You can buy a plug an play kit for standalone TCU.
And adapterplate.
That setup will make it the top of the line diesel car.
its should run easy 7-8 secs 100-200 KMH - even more achiveable.

Hopefully you turn the aggressive look this car needs, as it is it's kinda wimpy looking on the front end, the wheels are sissy looking. The whole thing needs to be on steroids but thats just me. Im sure Im going to love what ever you, I hated the Yellow Poorsche until you basically completed it. Maybe make the BMW Match your M3/LS with the styling? Always love your work Matt Thanks .

Be nice to see an oem plus build. Improve the engine to address the issues, better than factory paint and generally make it the best m3 from the worst. Plain vanilla like a viewer could do to their own car
An alternative thought, how about getting the option pack for m3 when it was new and specking it exactly as you would have ordered it. All the options etc that you would have had maybe from scrap cars.

There are a few S65s for a pretty good price right now on eBay. Trust me, I blew mine up a few weeks ago...

@@matt13ross Replace main bearings if you get another S65. #1 main bearing fails anywhere from 100-200k on what seems to be most cars, wiping out #1 rod bearing (mine spun as a result) and cracking the block in the process. Mine didn't even spin but it was melted and the block is cracked all the way up to the cylinder bores. So now I'm left with an almost-perfect but unusable engine that could've been saved...

Well since it’s getting repainted I’d say do either San Marino blue or Long Beach blue. They’re both stunning blues imo
I’ve got an oriental blue e46 and in the sun it looks awesome! Porsche lapis blue is a nice one to.

The paint is wild it looks like a really old wrap peeling off. But why wrap the same color? Has to be a weird diy clear coat situation. Either way, glad you’re not giving up on it. Even if the ants murder you.
Not sure on color but keeping it OEM will hold the most value.
Have had ants in cars sitting on the showroom floor before. Not uncommon. Probably odorous house ants, or acrobat ants. They both move in quickly to anywhere they can find a potential harborage.
